This paper describes noteworthy multifamily-assistance programs around the country, including mortgage-insurance, secondary-market, technical-assistance, and tax-abatement programs.
Tau spin correlations and the anomalous magnetic moment
We show that the precise determination of the Tau magnetic properties is
possible in the next generation accelerators, specially at B/Flavour factories.
We define spin correlation observables suitable to extract the real part of the
magnetic form factor that, for the first time, will allow to test the standard
model-QED predictions. In particular, the predicted QED-dependence with both
the momentum transfer and the lepton mass can be precisely measured. Until now,
the most stringent bounds on the magnetic moment come from LEP
data with strong assumptions on the physics involved on the observed process.
In this paper, we find three different combinations of spin correlations of the
outgoing Taus that disentangle the magnetic moment form factor of the Tau
lepton in the electromagnetic vertex. These combinations of asymmetries also
get rid off the contributions coming from Z-mediating amplitudes to the defined
correlations. Using unpolarized electron beams and an integrated luminosity of
, the sensitivity to the magnetic moment form
factor is of the order . This sensitivity is two orders of magnitude
better than the present existing high- or low-energy bounds on the magnetic
moment and would allow its actual measurement with the precision of a few per
cent.Comment: 14 pages, 1 figur
Half a million excess deaths in the Iraq war:Terms and conditions may apply
Hagopian et al. (2013) published a headline-grabbing estimate for the Iraq war of half a million excess deaths , i.e. deaths that would not have happened without the war. We reanalyse the data from the University Collaborative Iraq Mortality Study and refute their dramatic claim. The Hagopian et al. (2013) estimate has four main defects: i) most importantly, it conflates non-violent deaths with violent ones; ii) it fails to account for the stratified sampling design of the UCIMS; iii) it fully includes all reported deaths regardless of death certificate backing, even when respondents say they have a death certificate but cannot produce one when prompted; iv) it adds approximately 100,000 speculative deaths not supported by data. Thus, we reject the 500,000 estimate. Indeed, we find that the UCIMS data cannot even support a claim that the number of non-violent excess deaths in the Iraq war has been greater than zero. We recommend future research to follow our methodological lead in two main directions; supplement traditional excess death estimates with excess death estimates for non-violent deaths alone, and use differences-in-differences estimates to uncover the relationship between violence and non-violent death rates
Sneutrino Production at e+e- Linear Colliders: Addendum to Slepton Production
Complementing the preceding study of charged scalar leptons, the sector of
the neutral scalar leptons, sneutrinos, is investigated in a high-precision
analysis for future e+e- linear colliders. The theoretical predictions for the
cross-sections are calculated at the thresholds for non-zero widths and in the
continuum including higher-order corrections at the one-loop level. Methods for
measuring the sneutrino masses and the electron-sneutrino-gaugino Yukawa
couplings are presented, addressing theoretical problems specific for the
sneutrino channels.Comment: 21 pp, Addendum to Eur.Phys.J. C34 (2004) 487-512 [hep-ph/0310182],

Penelusuran Bahan Pustaka online Melalui Internet di Perpustakaan Jurusan Biologi FMPA UNM
Text book owned by the Biological Library of FMIPA UNM able to fulfill 70% requirement of student literature and 100% requirement teach by the teacher. Along with science progress in biological area, text book owned by the library require to be improved. But addition sum up the book did not correct solution because the addition sum up the book need the broader place, more amount time, and larger ones energy to manage the books. Biological Library of FMIPA UNM have the additional service that is service free acces internet. To assist the student to search of online study literature, researcher conduct the mentoring toward library visitor (student). This mentoring will know: "How many improvement of library visitor in Biological Library of FMIPA UNM after mentoring online library?". Research method is: research of literature, observation, mentoring, quetionnaire, and evaluation. Result of research find that after mentoring the amount of library visitor have increase so much. This matter caused by almost the all visitor did not yet known searching of book online and also the book fulfill requirement of academic student. Therefore to increase service of Biological Library of FMIPA UNM, the management must provide free access the internet, computer, speed access, and mentoring base on the requirement of academic student.
Mining Public Opinion about Economic Issues: Twitter and the U.S. Presidential Election
Opinion polls have been the bridge between public opinion and politicians in
elections. However, developing surveys to disclose people's feedback with
respect to economic issues is limited, expensive, and time-consuming. In recent
years, social media such as Twitter has enabled people to share their opinions
regarding elections. Social media has provided a platform for collecting a
large amount of social media data. This paper proposes a computational public
opinion mining approach to explore the discussion of economic issues in social
media during an election. Current related studies use text mining methods
independently for election analysis and election prediction; this research
combines two text mining methods: sentiment analysis and topic modeling. The
proposed approach has effectively been deployed on millions of tweets to
analyze economic concerns of people during the 2012 US presidential election
Resolved photon and multi-component model for p and scattering at high energies
We generalize our previous model for scattering to scattering. In the latter case the number of components naturally
grows. When using the model parameters from our previous analysis
the model cross section for scattering is larger than the
corresponding LEP2 experimental data by more than a factor of two. However,
performing a new simultaneous fit to and total
cross section we can find an optimal set of parameters to describe both
processes. We propose new measures of factorization breaking for collisions and present results for our new model.Comment: 23 pages, 10 figure
