Generalized uncertainty principle and correction value to the black hole entropy
Recently, there has been much attention devoted to resolving the quantum
corrections to the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of the black hole. In particular,
many researchers have expressed a vested interest in the coefficient of the
logarithmic term of the black hole entropy correction term. In this paper, we
calculate the correction value of the black hole entropy by utilizing the
generalized uncertainty principle and obtain the correction term caused by the
generalized uncertainty principle. Because in our calculation we think that the
Bekenstein-Hawking area theorem is still valid after considering the
generalized uncertainty principle, we derive that the coefficient of the
logarithmic term of the black hole entropy correction term is negative. This
result is different from the known result at present. Our method is valid not
only for single horizon spacetime but also for double horizons spacetime. In
the whole process, the physics idea is clear and calculation is simple. It
offers a new way for studying the condition that Bekenstein-Hawking area
theorem is valid
Spike Timing-Dependent Plasticity in CA1 Pyramidal Neuron-Controlling Hippocampal Circuits: a Model Study
Spike timing-dependent plasticity (STDP) plays an important role in sculpting neural circuits
to store information in the hippocampus, since motor learning and memory are thought to be
closely linked with this type of synaptic plasticity. We built a computational model to study
the potential learning rule by linearly changing the synaptic weight and number of the synapses involved. The main findings are the following: (i) changes in the synaptic weight and number of synapses can lead to different long-term changes in the synaptic efficacy; (ii) the first
spike pair of two neurons exerts a great influence on the subsequent spike pair; a pre-post spiking pair reinforces the subsequent paired spiking, while a post-pre spiking pair depresses this
paired spiking; (iii) when the synaptic weight and synaptic number change, the interval in the
first spiking pair is reduced, which directly influences the first spiking pair, and (iv) when a
stellate neuron is stimulated weakly or the capacitance of a CA1 pyramidal neuron is decreased,
LTP is produced more easily than LTD; in the opposite case, LTD is produced more readily; an
increase of the synaptic number can promote activation of CA1 pyramidal neurons.
реалізується прямий вплив на характеристики такої пари;
Effect of the SiC Particle Orientation Anisotropy on the Tensile Properties of a Spray-Formed SiCp/Al-Si Composite
The effects of the SiC particle orientation anisotropy
on the tensile properties of spray-formed
SiCp/Al-Si composites was investigated and
compared with that of the unreinforced matrix alloy.
The addition of SiC particles increased the
elastic modulus but decreased ultimate tensile
strength and elongation of an Al–Si alloy under
peak-aged conditions. Microstructure disolayed a
preferred orientation of the reinforcement particles,
which were inclined to align parallel to the
extrusion axis. Meanwhile, the degree of orientation
anisotropy turned to be higher with larger reinforcement
sizes particle. The elastic modulus,
tensile strength and elongation in the longitudinal
orientation (parallel to the extrusion axis) were
higher than those in the transverse orientation
(perpendicular to the extrusion axis). The fracture
mechanism in a composite with 4.5 m particles
was attributed to interfacial debonding
between SiC and matrix in the two orientations.
However, in case of aluminum reinforced wild
20 m particles, both cracking of SiC particles in
the longitudinal orientation and the interfacial
debonding in the transverse orientation played an
important role in fracture.
Anomaly analysis of Hawking radiation from Kaluza-Klein black hole with squashed horizon
Considering gravitational and gauge anomalies at the horizon, a new method
that to derive Hawking radiations from black holes has been developed by
Wilczek et al. In this paper, we apply this method to non-rotating and rotating
Kaluza-Klein black holes with squashed horizon, respectively. For the rotating
case, we found that, after the dimensional reduction, an effective U(1) gauge
field is generated by an angular isometry. The results show that the gauge
current and energy-momentum tensor fluxes are exactly equivalent to Hawking
radiation from the event horizon.Comment: 15 pages, no figures, the improved version, accepted by Eur. Phys. J.
Relativistic Continuum Hartree Bogoliubov Theory for Ground State Properties of Exotic Nuclei
The Relativistic Continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov (RCHB) theory, which properly
takes into account the pairing correlation and the coupling to (discretized)
continuum via Bogoliubov transformation in a microscopic and self-consistent
way, has been reviewed together with its new interpretation of the halo
phenomena observed in light nuclei as the scattering of particle pairs into the
continuum, the prediction of the exotic phenomena -- giant halos in nuclei near
neutron drip line, the reproduction of interaction cross sections and
charge-changing cross sections in light exotic nuclei in combination with the
Glauber theory, better restoration of pseudospin symmetry in exotic nuclei,
predictions of exotic phenomena in hyper nuclei, and new magic numbers in
superheavy nuclei, etc. Recent investigations on new effective interactions,
the density dependence of the interaction strengthes, the RMF theory on the
Woods-Saxon basis, the single particle resonant states, and the resonant BCS
(rBCS) method for the pairing correlation, etc. are also presented in some
details.Comment: 79 pages. Prog. Part. Nucl. Phys. (2005) in pres

Measurement of branching fractions for the inclusive Cabibbo-favored ~K*0(892) and Cabibbo-suppressed K*0(892) decays of neutral and charged D mesons
The branching fractions for the inclusive Cabibbo-favored ~K*0 and
Cabibbo-suppressed K*0 decays of D mesons are measured based on a data sample
of 33 pb-1 collected at and around the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with
the BES-II detector at the BEPC collider. The branching fractions for the
