The experimental work involved the administration of 101 questionnaires to students of both courses. The results show that, although there are differential nuances between both courses, the most important conclusion is that students have in common the difficulty to relate macro and micro levels of chemistry and, therefore, to reach the comprehension to relate the macroscopic properties of substances with the type of bonding that these particles (atoms, ions and molecules) have at the microscopic leve

The relationship between socialization through social media (SM) and eating disorders (EDs) is a serious problem for public health, largely affecting the mental health of younger people. This work aimed to identify scientific works addressing ED psychopathologies, studying their relationship with SM usage. In this systematic review, we analyze the available scientific evidence, thereby providing tools for intervention, prevention, and treatment. A systematic review and PRISMA analysis of narrative syntheses was carried out. Works were selected from the databases of Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, and PsycINFO. Out of a total of 257 references, 19 articles were identified and selected; among them, correlational studies predominated. A growing interest in the subject matter was identified, as it is undergoing constant changes. The investigations found that EDs and SM usage are influenced by the time spent on SM, the type of interactions, and shared photographs, as well as gender and sociocultural context

In recent years, the different educational levels continue adopting the competency-based education model as a quality assessment system; in this context, the competency evaluation becomes one of the most important tasks of the educational processes because of its formative usefulness in the learning of the students. Competency-based education is oriented towards an evaluation model linked to student training, to foster the development of skills and abilities to identify, project, solve problems and make decisions. In addition, it promotes the pursuit of meaningful learning and fosters collaborative work. The rubrics for competences evaluation appeared as a tool that allows obtaining evidence of the acquisition of competences and application of knowledge outside the classroom. We present a proposal of rubrics for the evaluation by competences of a laboratory practice of Physics in which the capacitance of a parallel-plate capacitor is measured by varying the separation between the plates and then, by means of a least squares adjustment, obtain the value of the electric permittivity of the air, ε0, and the value of the constant, k, which appears in Coulomb's law. We have designed a laboratory practice and developed the evaluation rubric applied to students of Physics for Computer Science Engineering in the Degree of Computer Engineering of the Higher Polytechnic School of the University of Castilla -La Mancha (UCLM), located on the university campus of Albacete. For the implementation of this rubric, we will select two study groups: a control group and an experimental group, the control group will develop the practice into the physics laboratory without rubric evaluation information; and the experimental group, will develop practice in the physics laboratory but with rubric evaluation information. Finally, we will evaluate the perception of the students about use of rubrics, and we will make a comparative analysis of both groups, considering the marks obtained in the practices and the results of the evaluation perception

Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) is a stress cardiomyopathy affecting more frequently postmenopausal women after a physical or emotional trigger. It presents with similar symptoms to acute coronary syndrome as well as elevation of cardiac biomarkers and abnormalities in electrocardiogram. Diagnosis is based on ‘InterTAK Diagnostic Criteria’ established in 2018, with the fundamental finding of temporary wall motion abnormality of the left ventricle, typically without coronary pathology (although this does not exclude the diagnosis) and early reversibility of the condition. Treatment is not clearly defined so it will include life support measures and prevention of life-threatening complications. In the recent past years there has been an increase in the description of this syndrome in sanitary environments, which most likely suggests an infradetection. Perioperative period might provide a perfect scenario for its occurrence due to the implication of surgical stress and hence the anesthesiologist will be key in its diagnosis and management.

Teachers are deeply concerned on how to be more effective in our task of teaching. We must organize the contents of our specific area providing them with a logical configuration, for which we must know the mental structure of the students that we have in the classroom. We must shape this mental structure, in a progressive manner, so that they can assimilate the contents that we are trying to transfer, to make the learning as meaningful as possible. In the generative learning model, the links before the stimulus delivered by the teacher and the information stored in the mind of the learner requires an important effort by the student, who should build new conceptual meanings. That effort, which is extremely necessary for a good learning, sometimes is the missing ingredient so that the teaching-learning process can be properly assimilated. In electrical circuits, which we know are perfectly controlled and described by Ohm's law and Kirchhoff's two rules, there are two concepts that correspond to the following physical quantities: voltage and electrical resistance. These two concepts are integrated and linked when the concept of current is presented. This concept is not subordinated to the previous ones, it has the same degree of inclusiveness and gives rise to substantial relations between the three concepts, materializing it into a law: The Ohm, which allows us to relate and to calculate any of the three physical magnitudes, two of them known. The alternate current, in which both the voltage and the current are reversed dozens of times per second, plays an important role in many aspects of our modern life, because it is universally used. Its main feature is that its maximum voltage is easily modifiable through the use of transformers, which greatly facilitates its transfer with very few losses. In this paper, we present a conceptual map so that it is used as a new tool to analyze in a logical manner the underlying structure in the alternate current circuits, with the objective of providing the students from Sciences and Engineering majors with another option to try, amongst all, to achieve a significant learning of this important part of physics
