    The Mediating Effect of Emotive Factor on the Constructs That Influence Entrepreneurial Failure

    This paper examines the presence of emotive factor that mediates the variables of voluntaristic, deterministic and opportunistic behaviour that impact entrepreneurial failure. The study is a quantitative study and uses causal analysis as its research approach. It relates the constructs of voluntaristic factor, deterministic factor, and opportunistic behaviour with the mediation of emotive factor to entrepreneurial failure. Sample of the study is 1541 nascent entrepreneurs in West Sumatra Province, Indonesia, who have experienced business failures. Analysis was undertaken by using causal step analysis in which the statistical protocol and rule were operated. The study found and argue that emotive factor of entrepreneurs is identified as individual psychological construct that partially mediates voluntaristic, deterministic and opportunistic behaviour in causing entrepreneurial failure experienced by nascent entrepreneurs. Originality and value of the study lies in the framework used – which considers the construct of opportunistic behaviour of entrepreneurs as an independent variable that can cause entrepreneurial failure. Other is related to the consideration that emotive factor that mediates the voluntaristic, deterministic and opportunistic behaviour in causing entrepreneurial failure.Abstrak dalam Bahasa Indonesia Penelitian ini membahas tentang keberadaan faktor emosi yang memediasi variabel voluntaristic, deterministic dan perilaku opportunis yang mengakibatkan terjadinya kegagalan berwirausaha. Studi ini merupakan studi kuantitatif dan menggunakan analisa kausal sebagai pendekatan penelitian. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 1541 orang wirausahawan pemula di Provinsi Sumatera Barat, Indonesia yang sebelumnya pernah mengalami kegagalan dalam berwirausaha. Analisa dilakukan dengan menggunakan causal step analysis yang menggunakan prosedur statistik tertentu. Studi ini menemukan dan lebih lanjut berpendapat bahwa faktor emotsi wirausahawan diidentifikasi sebagai konstruk psikologis individu yang secara parsial memediasi hubungan faktor voluntaristic, faktor determiniastic dan perilaku opportunis sebagai penyebab terjadinya kegagalan berwirausaha yang dialami oleh wirausahawan pemula. Keaslian dan nilai dari studi ini terletak pada kerangka penelitian yang digunakan, yang menempatkan faktor perilaku opportunis sebagai variabel bebas yang dapat mengakibatkan kegagalan berwirausaha.     SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW: TATA KELOLA KOLABORATIF DALAM SEKTOR PUBLIK

    AbstractIncreasingly complex and interdependent issues in the public sector make the need for cooperation andcollaboration even more urgent. Innovation through collaboration is the essence of the concept of openinnovation which must seek interaction with external agents to create ideas and improve services. Thiswork consists of 25 systematic literature review articles to synthesize and critically reviewcollaborative governance in the public sector. The detailed objectives are as follows: to summarize theevidence on the phenomena and characteristics of collaborative governance; analyze the supportingvariables of collaborative governance; and analyze the field of application of collaborative governancein the public sector. The authors' findings show that: First, in recent years there has been an increasinginterest in collaborating on public policy; Responding to the interconnected and complex nature of theissues currently facing governments, academics and practitioners alike have focused on governanceprocesses that blur the boundaries between the public, private, and community sectors; Second, thereare many characteristics of collaborative governance as collaborative innovations that have not beenused as research variables; Most of the variables used are more dominant to external organizationalfactors. Third, collaborative governance alludes a lot to technology and there are still many areas ofpublic service that have not been studied in its application; as many as 19 areas of application ofcollaborative governance have been analyzed in this work.Abstrak Meningkatnya masalah yang kompleks dan saling bergantung pada sektor publik menyebabkankebutuhan akan kerja sama dan kolaborasi menjadi semakin mendesak. Inovasi melalui kolaborasimerupakan esensi dari konsep inovasi terbuka yang harus mencari interaksi dengan agen eksternaluntuk menciptakan ide dan meningkatkan pelayanan. Karya ini terdiri dari 25 artikel tinjauansistematis literatur untuk mensintesis dan meninjau secara kritis tentang collaborative governancepada sektor publik. Tujuan secara rinci sebagai berikut: meringkas bukti tentang fenomena dankarakteristik collaborative governance; menganalisis variabel pendukung collaborative governance;dan menganalisis bidang penerapan collaborative governance pada sektor publik. Temuan penulismenunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, beberapa tahun terakhir ini minat untuk berkolaborasi dalamkebijakan publik semakin meningkat; Menanggapi sifat yang saling berhubungan dan kompleks dariisu-isu yang sekarang dihadapi pemerintah, para akademisi dan praktisi sama-sama memusatkanperhatian pada proses tata kelola yang mengaburkan batas antara sektor publik, swasta, danmasyarakat; Kedua, banyak karakteristik collaborative governance sebagai inovasi kolaboratif yangbelum dijadikan variabel penelitian; Sebagian besar variabel yang digunakan lebih dominan ke faktoreksternal organisasi.     PENGARUH ABU CANGKANG PALA SEBAGAI SUBTITUSI FILLER TERHADAP CAMPURAN LAPISAN AC-WC

    Abstrak : Pengaruh Abu Cangkang Pala Sebagai Subtitusi Filler Terhadap Campuran Lapisan AC – WC). Latar belakang penelitian ini bertitik tolak dari permasalahan yang berada dilapangan. Penulis melihat bahwasannya kejadian dilapangan yang sangat kritis karena disebabkan oleh semakin berkurangnya bahan pengisi (filler). Dari hal ini penulis tergerak untuk memanfaatkan cangkang pala sebagai subtitusi bahan pengganti (filler) agar supaya dapat menghambat berkurangnya penurunan bahan tambah (filler). Tujuan penelitian kali ini adalah untuk mencari dan membuktikan bahwa apakah abu cangkang pala bisa mengganti atau mensubtitusi filler terhadap campuran lapisan AC-WC dengan melewati beberapa proses penelitian seperti mencari hasil dari pemeriksaan sifat-sifat fisis material sampai pada pengujian Marshall Test. Penelitian yang penulis lakukan disini adalah penelitian didalam laboratorium yang bersifat eksperimen. Penelitian ini penulis lakukan di Laboratorium Terpadu Universitas Gorontalo. Dipenelitian kali ini, penulis membuat beberapa variasi untuk filler abu cangkang pala yaitu 0%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100%. Hasil dari penelitian kali ini yaitu semua variasi yang diuji telah memenuhi spesifikasi dari setiap pengujian. Pengujian yang dimaksud adalah stabilitas, kelelehan (flow), Void In the Mix (VIM), Void in Mineral Agregat (VMA), Void Filled with Aspalt (VFA), Marshall Quotient (MQ). Abstract: The Effect of Nutmeg Shell Ash as Filler Substitution on AC-WC Layer Mixture. The background of this research is based on the problems in the field. The author sees that the incident in the field is very critical because it is caused by the decrease in filler material. From this, the author was moved to use nutmeg shells as a substitute for fillers in order to prevent the decrease in the decrease in fillers. The purpose of this study is to find and prove that whether nutmeg shell ash can replace or substitute filler for the AC-WC layer mixture by going through several research processes such as looking for results from examining the physical properties of the material to the Marshall Test.The research that the author is doing here is an experimental research in a laboratory. This research was conducted at the Integrated Laboratory of the University of Gorontalo. In this study, the authors made several variations for the nutmeg shell ash filler, namely 0%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The results of this study are all variations tested have met the specifications of each test.     Skripsi ini meneliti tentang Persepsi Guru Terhadap Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Tentang Penyederhanaan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) di MTs Negeri 1 Manado. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah  untuk mengetahui bagaimana Persepsi Guru Terhadap Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Tentang Penyederhanaan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) di MTs Negeri 1 Manado.Dalam Penelitian ini ada 3 rumusan masalah yaitu Bagaimana persepsi guru terhadap kebijakan merdeka belajar mengenai penyederhanaan RPP di MTs Negeri 1 Manado dan bagaimana kendala dalam penyusunannya serta solusi dari permasalahan tersebut.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif bersifat deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru terhadap kebijakan merdeka belajar tentang penyederhanaan RPP yaitu dengan adanya kebijakan penyederhaan RPP ini sangat membantu para guru dalam hal administrasi yang tidak memelukan waktu banyak dalam penyusunan RPP. Apapun kendala dalam penyusunan RPP yang akan disederhanakan yaitu guru kebingungan dalam menyederhanakan 13 komponen ke dalam 3 komponen, guru-guru juga kesulitan dalam menentukan versi RPP yang akan dipakai. Solusi yang digunakan dalam kendala tesebut yaitu dari guru sendiri mereka membuat perkelompok matapelajaran untuk menyatukan ide-ide dalam merancang 13 komponen kedalam 3 komponen yang ada di RPP kemudian Wakil kepala madrasah bidang kurikulum selalu mengadakan rapat musyawarah setiap minggunya untuk mengetahui perkembangan dari penyusunan RPP tersebut.Kata kunci: Persepsi, Merdeka Belajar, Penyederhanaan RPP

    ANALISIS SELF EFFICACY MATEMATIS SISWA DI SMPN 2 KARAWANG BARAT

    Pembelajaran matematika selain mengembangkan pada aspek kognitif siswa juga mengembangkan pada aspek afektif siswa. Aspek afektif salah satunya adalah self efficacy atau efikasi diri yang artinya keyakinan diri terhadap kemampuan yang dimiliki. Self efficacy matematika mempengaruhi keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini dilakukan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui self efficacy matematika dalam pembelajaran di SMPN 2 Karawang Barat. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII A berjumlah 37 siswa. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen angket yang terdiri dari 18 pernyataan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor keseluruhan adalah 11,40 berada dalam kategori sedang. Indikator self efficacy ada 5, yaitu indikator pertama memperoleh rata-rata 11,51 berada pada kategori sedang, indikator kedua 12,14 kategori sedang, indikator ketiga 11,62 kategori sedang, indikator keempat 13,24 kategori sedang, indikator kelima 8,50 kategori tinggi.

    Abstrak This study aims to analyze the influence of natural environment and culture on Bugis cuisine in Barru. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with informants who were selected by purposive sampling. The results of the study showed that natural environment and culture have a significant influence on Bugis cuisine in Barru. The natural environment in the form of the sea and mountains becomes the main source of raw materials in Bugis cuisine. Meanwhile, the Bugis culture that values nature and life is the basis of the philosophy in Bugis cuisine. Barru's natural and cultural environment have a big impact on its Bugis cuisine. The cuisine along the seashore is dominated by natural ingredients from marine products that can only be obtained by fishers employing specific fishing techniques. The lowland environment is characterized by a predominance of pastries and other sweet and savory foods that are inspired by trade and travel culture. The highland Bugis kitchen, on the other hand, is more recognizable and modern. The degree to which the culinary practice resembles the process to which it pertains indicates the depth of belief in legendary entities

    How Failure Leads to Learning among Nascent Entrepreneurs? The Evidence of Entrepreneurial Failure and Its Relationship to Entrepreneurial Learning

    This paper investigates and examines the relationship between entrepreneurial failure and entrepreneurial learning that can be absorbed by nascent entrepreneurs. It also reveals the possible forms of learning that happen to nascent entrepreneurs as an outcome of failure. A quantitative study with relational approach with 180 failed nascent entrepreneurs in Padang, Indonesia was undertaken as the research method and study context. Data and information were collected by using a questionnaire (offline and online) as the research instrument. Statistical protocol in terms of validity and reliability tests as well as hypothesis testing, using SPSS 23 as the statistical tool were operated to analyze the data. The study found that entrepreneurial failure has significantly influenced [a] entrepreneurial learning of nascent entrepreneurs in the context of the study, [b] the ability to detect errors in business, as well as [c] error correction by nascent entrepreneurs. The study also reveals the fact that the serial entrepreneurship process occurs for nascent entrepreneurs in the context of study.     This research is to study about the mother behavior to their daughters as seen in "Pride and Prejudice" and "Little Women". The mother behavior to their daughters show the different way of women as a mother in bringing up their children according to their social and condition at the time. The data were taken from two novels entitled "pride and prejudice" and "little women" is the topic of the study. The  women held in the early 19th century and the late 19th century was described as one that belonged in the home as a wife and mother, and that should marry a man who can support their family. Also throughout the novel women's role in society was described as one that is to be accomplished in household  chore and those of entertainment, such as singing  and playing music. The role of women in society was a major theme throughout the novel "Pride and Prejudice" and "Little Women" The method used in this research  is a study of comparative literature to analyze mother behavior especially for Mrs. Bennet, Lady Catherine de Bourgh, These women have similarities and different behavior in find the right mate for their daughters. This study shows that every woman has characteristics in caring for their children and paying attention to the survival of their children

    Examining the impact of top Malaysian brands' social media marketing on customer engagement: using big data analytics

    Recognizing the benefits from social media in customer engagement, firms started to realize the importance of social media integration within their marketing plans. However, a lot of these companies still find it challenging to understand what kind of content they should produce on their social media accounts that can positively influence their customer behavior. While previous research has looked into factors that can influence customer engagement, studies on Instagram remains underexplored despite its increase in popularity among the biggest group of consumers, Millennials. Prior research on Instagram also has been focusing on the contribution type of customer engagements such as the likes and the comments, and the studies on holistic view of customer engagement is scarce. Research on Malaysian brands are also limited. This study uses big data analytics to investigate how top Malaysian brands’ social media marketing impact customer engagement. By employing big data analytics, this research extract datasets from 9270 Instagram posts from 4 public Instagram accounts of notable Malaysian brands using SrapeStorm web scraper and analyze them using Microsoft Excel, SAS Text Analytics and IBM SPSS Statistics software. Findings from this research demonstrate how different features of social media marketing affect consumer engagement differently. Creator-related feature, such as founders who are famous or social media influencers, has positive impact to consumption (passive) and creation (active) types of customer engagement. Contextual feature such as post frequency has negative correlation to the contribution type of customer engagement rate. For visual content feature, video contributes greater engagement rate followed by images with people and images without people. Malaysian consumers who follow brands’ Instagram accounts also reacted positively to informative content as shown from the analysis on textual content in this study. Outcomes from this study have significant implications to the elaboration of uses and gratifications theory together with providing additional management insights to a more efficient social media marketing strategy
