Does Religiosity Influence the Relationship Between Sharia Governance and Member Loyalty in Islamic Cooperatives?
Sharia cooperatives play a pivotal role in advancing Islamic economic development by offering financial services aligned with Islamic principles. Nonetheless, sustaining member loyalty remains a significant challenge. This study investigates the impact of Sharia governance on member loyalty within Sharia cooperatives in Banda Aceh City and examines the moderating role of religiosity in this relationship. Employing an explanatory research design, primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 purposively selected respondents. The data were analyzed using moderated regression analysis to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings reveal that Sharia governance exerts a positive and significant influence on member loyalty. However, religiosity was found to weaken this relationship, indicating that members with higher levels of religiosity tend to rely more on personal beliefs than institutional governance when forming loyalty. These results suggest that member engagement strategies should not only focus on structural and governance compliance but also incorporate the diverse religious values held by cooperative members. The study offers practical implications for enhancing loyalty in faith-based financial institutions. Limitations include the cross-sectional nature of the data and its geographic restriction to a single region, which may affect the generalizability of the results. Future research is encouraged to include broader contexts and longitudinal data

Adolescent Forced Marriage and Community Misconduct: Rethinking Islamic Family Law
The normalization of forced marriage as a response to adolescents' involvement in behaviors perceived by their communities as socially or religiously inappropriate, such as premarital interactions or relationships beyond culturally sanctioned norms, may result in complex and disproportionate consequences for the adolescents involved. This study addresses gaps in prior research by exploring the characteristics of these cases, the prevailing community interpretations, and the rationale behind legitimizing forced marriage as a form of moral resolution. The findings highlight three key insights. First, forced marriage is often constructed as a culturally informed response to situations involving behaviors considered socially sensitive. Second, People commonly understand such practices as preserving family honor and fulfilling communal or religious expectations. Third, these responses are typically driven more by shared moral and cultural frameworks than by considerations of the adolescent's rights and well-being. This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic family law by illustrating how community-based interpretations of morality, honor, and religious obligation may shape the application of legal and ethical principles in cases involving adolescents, particularly within the framework of protection and justice for minors

Digital Dictionary Vs Non-Digital Dictionary; The Needs, Challenges, and Effects in English Language Learning
This research explores the needs, challenges, and effects of using both digital and non-digital dictionaries in English language learning. The research design employed a qualitative study with data analysis conducted using Lisabella (2013)’s model. The participants involved 15 students as informants from several different universities in North Sulawesi. These participants were the sample who registered in the English Education Department / Study Program and English Literature Program. The research instruments used were observation and semi-structured interviews to collect data on students’ perceptions related to the issue. Data analysis was carried out by identifying students’ responses. Findings reveal that while both formats support vocabulary development and language comprehension, digital dictionaries are preferred for their speed, convenience, and rich features such as audio pronunciation and contextual examples. However, challenges such as internet dependency, distracting advertisements, and potential overreliance were identified. These limitations underscore the need for improved digital tool design and greater student awareness. The study highlights the importance of fostering digital literacy and strategic dictionary use to enhance long-term vocabulary retention, communication skills, and overall language proficiency. Keywords: Digital Dictionaries, Non-Digital Dictionaries, English language learnin
The Application of Iddah Maintenance for a Nusyuz Wife in Religious Court Verdicts
This study aims to explore the rationale behind the Religious Court's decision to grant iddah maintenance to a wife considered nusyuz (disobedient), despite this conflicting with the provisions of Islamic law as stipulated in the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI). This research uses a qualitative approach and normative analysis to examine the Religious Court decision number 0295/Pdt.G/2020/PA.Kab.Mn as a key case study. Primary data, consisting of court rulings, is analyzed to understand the arguments presented by the plaintiff and the defendant and the judge's reasoning in granting iddah maintenance despite the wife's proven nusyuz status. The findings indicate that, although Islamic law dictates that a nusyuz wife is not entitled to iddah maintenance, the court applied the principle of justice through progressive legal reasoning and the use of contra legem principles. The judge determined that granting iddah maintenance was a fair measure to protect the wife's rights after divorce, considering the social and humanitarian circumstances underlying the case

Developing Inclusive Regulations for Muslim Disabled Entrepreneurs' Access to Sharia Fintech: Legal and Accessibility Perspectives
In Indonesia, Muslim persons with disabilities (PwDs) face significant barriers in accessing financial services, including Sharia-based fintech platforms. This study aims to develop inclusive regulatory strategies to enhance their access to Sharia-compliant fintech funding. Employing a normative legal approach and conceptual analysis based on maqashid sharia, the research highlights the lack of integration between digital accessibility standards such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and current Sharia fintech regulations. The findings propose a five-part inclusive strategy grounded in the principles of justice (al-‘adālah), facilitation (al-taysīr), and the removal of hardship (raf' al-ḥaraj): identifying accessibility needs, designing adaptive regulations, enhancing human resource capacity, integrating cross-sectoral policies, and establishing participatory monitoring and enforcement. This framework not only empowers Muslim disabled entrepreneurs within Indonesia but also holds global significance, especially for Muslim minority communities in non-Muslim countries such as China. Indonesia’s experience demonstrates that inclusive Sharia fintech regulations can be framed within universal legal and ethical values, making them adaptable to diverse socio-legal contexts. This study contributes to building a more inclusive and equitable Islamic financial ecosystem that promotes dignity, empowerment, and access for all, particularly those who are socially and economically marginalized
Determinants of Community Preferences and Customer Loyalty at Bank Syariah Indonesia in North Sulawesi
This study aims to identify and analyze the key factors that influence customer preferences and loyalty toward Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in North Sulawesi. Employing a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 52 active BSI customers across three cities: Manado, Bitung, and Kotamobagu, with respondents aged between 20 and 35 years. The research instrument underwent validity and reliability testing, yielding a Cronbach’s Alpha score of 0.969, indicating excellent internal consistency. The analysis revealed that internal bank factors, particularly the quality of employee service, including friendliness and professionalism, are the most dominant contributors to customer loyalty. External factors, such as recommendations from close associates, also play a significant role. In contrast, location and technological infrastructure, such as ATM availability, scored the lowest, suggesting areas that require improvement. The study highlights that human interaction and excellent service delivery are more decisive in fostering loyalty than physical infrastructure or rational considerations. These findings offer strategic insights for enhancing BSI services, particularly in regions with predominantly non-Muslim demographics. Practical implications include continued frontliner training, expansion of digital infrastructure and branch locations, and reinforcement of community-based marketing strategies. The study also recommends future research to explore the impact of digitalization on customer loyalty through a longitudinal approach
