Translation proper: Kommunikationsbarrieren überwinden

In dem Artikel wird die Translatologie als Fach neu konzeptualisiert: Traditionell wird die interlinguale, intrasemiotische Übersetzung als Standard der Übersetzungshandlung angesehen. Das geht einher mit einer Wahrnehmung von Krise des herkömmlichen translatorischen Handlungsfelds. Dieser enge Translationsbegriff ist nicht geeignet, die dynamische Entwicklung des akademischen Fachs Translatologie sowie der Märkte abzubilden. In der jüngeren Vergangenheit findet im Rahmen der Translatologie bereits eine Fokussierung auf weitere Formen der Translation - intersemiotische und auch intralinguale - statt. Die traditionellen Formen der interlingualen Übersetzung stehen aber nach wie vor im Fokus der Aufmerksamkeit. Im vorliegenden Aufsatz schlagen die Autorinnen eine innovative Begriffsbildung vor: Translation wird als Überwindung von Kommunikationsbarrieren konzeptualisiert und entlang neuer Entwicklungslinien ausbuchstabiert. Damit werden alle aktuell am Markt praktizierten, aber auch in der Forschung thematisierten Formen der Translation abgebildet und ins Verhältnis gesetzt. The article enlightens a figure of the first doctor of ethnography (now – ethnology), habil. dr., Prof. Pranė Stukėnaitė-Dundulienė (12.02.1910–27.02.1991), her life and activities. Protecting Livelihoods

This book offers a legal analysis of the social protection measures taken by welfare states across the globe during the COVID-19 pandemic. The twenty-one country studies in this book set out in detail how the social law measures adopted during the pandemic interacted with existing welfare state institutions, what their legal nature was, how the relationship between collective risk and individual responsibility was negotiated during the crisis, what unique challenges countries faced in implementing a crisis response, and whether any long-term changes to each welfare state can be expected from the experiences of the pandemic. Hugo Weinitschke, langjähriger Direktor des Instituts für Landschaftsforschung und Naturschutz Halle (ILN), verschied kurz vor Vollendung seines 80. Lebensjahres in Halle (Saale). Mit Ihm verlieren wir einen Repräsentanten des Naturschutzes in der DDR, der sein gesamtes berufliches Leben der wissenschaftlichen und ehrenamtlichen Aufgabe des Schutzes von Natur und Landschaft gewidmet hat.
