Allocation of speaking time to teachers and students in ChiK chemistry teaching
Entwicklung von Kommunikationskompetenz setzt Gelegenheit zum Kommunizieren voraus. In zwei kleinen Studien wurde untersucht, welche Auswirkung die Unterrichtsgestaltung nach der Konzeption von Chemie im Kontext (ChiK) auf die Verteilung der Redeanteile von Lehrern und Schülern hat. Dazu wurden an Videoaufzeichnungen von Chemieunterricht nach ChiK die zeitlichen Anteile gemessen, in denen Lehrer oder Schüler sprechen, insbesondere auch solche Zeiten, in denen Schüler bzw. Schülerinnen miteinander kommunizieren. Während in fast allen bekannten Untersuchungen der Redeanteile von der Dominanz der Lehrperson berichtet wird, finden beide hier zusammengefassten Arbeiten übereinstimmend eine zumindest quantitativ deutliche Verschiebung der Kommunikationsgelegenheiten zu Gunsten der Schülerinnen und Schüler. Im hier untersuchten Unterricht nach ChiK bekommen sie reichlich Gelegenheit, sich zu artikulieren - der Lehrkraft gegenüber, vor allem aber auch im Gespräch untereinander. (DIPF/Orig.)The development of communication skills requires opportunity to communicate. Two small studies have investigated the effect of the Chemie im Kontext (ChiK) teaching methodology on the distribution of speaking time between teacher and students. The times were measured in videos of ChiK-lessons of teachers or students speaking, particularly of students communicating among each other. While in the literature a dominance of teacher speech is reported, both studies, which are summarized here, observe a quantitative shift in communication opportunities for the benefit of students. How to deal with destroyed type material? The case of Embrik Strand (Arachnida: Araneae)
When the museums of Lübeck, Stuttgart, Tübingen and partly of Wiesbaden were destroyed during World War II between 1942
and 1945, also all or parts of their type material were destroyed, among them types from spider species described by Embrik Strand bet-
ween 1906 and 1917. He did not illustrate type material from 181 species and one subspecies and described them only in an insufficient
manner. These species were never recollected during more than 110 years and no additional taxonomically relevant information was
published in the arachnological literature. It is impossible to recognize them, so we declare these 181 species here as nomina dubia.
Four of these species belong to monotypic genera, two of them to a ditypic genus described by Strand in the context of the mentioned
species descriptions. Consequently, without including valid species, the five genera Carteroniella Strand, 1907, Eurypelmella Strand, 1907,
Theumella Strand, 1906, Thianella Strand, 1907 and Tmeticides Strand, 1907 are here also declared as nomina dubia. Palystes modificus
minor Strand, 1906 is a junior synonym of P. superciliosus L. Koch, 1875 syn. nov
1. Einleitung: Das Fallarchiv Kindheitspädagogische Forschung
Da Fallarchive in der Kindheitspädagogik noch nicht etabliert sind, wird im Beitrag in die Grundlagen der Arbeit von Fallarchiven eingeführt und anschließend die Ausrichtung bestehender Fallarchive diskutiert. Auf dieser Basis werden Kontur und Zielrichtung des Fallarchiv Kindheitspädagogische Forschung vorgestellt.

Spider conservation in Europe : a review
Despite their ecological importance and diversity, spiders (Arachnida: Araneae) are underrepresented in conservation policies in comparison to other groups. We review all extant conservation tools focusing on spiders in Europe, highlighting general patterns, limitations, gaps, and future directions. We assembled a comprehensive online database reporting all available information concerning the legal protection and conservation status of 4,154 spider species. Existing international legislation has limited coverage, with only one species listed in the Bern Convention and EU Habitats Directive. At the national and subnational levels, 178 species are formally mentioned in the legislation of 19 European countries. Moreover, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) includes assessments for 301 species worldwide, 164 of these threatened and eight native to Europe. In addition, spiders are mentioned in Regional Red Lists and Red Books in 28 out of 42 European countries considered in this review. Northern and Central European countries have the highest percentage of species assessed at the regional level in Red Lists and Red Books. The Mediterranean basin has the highest spider diversities in Europe but conservation efforts are lacking, both in terms of assessments and national or subnational legislation. Among European species, Dolomedes plantarius, Argyroneta aquatica and Eresus kollari are the most frequently mentioned in European conservation measures, possibly due to their ecological traits and their strict association with declining habitats. Considering the current threats to spiders in Europe, the protection of large areas of suitable habitat should be considered as the most effective approach to spider conservation.Peer reviewe
The World Spider Trait database : a centralised global open repository for curated data on spider traits

Published by Oxford University Press.Spiders are a highly diversified group of arthropods and play an important role in terrestrial ecosystems as ubiquitous predators, which makes them a suitable group to test a variety of eco-evolutionary hypotheses. For this purpose, knowledge of a diverse range of species traits is required. Until now, data on spider traits have been scattered across thousands of publications produced for over two centuries and written in diverse languages. To facilitate access to such data, we developed an online database for archiving and accessing spider traits at a global scale. The database has been designed to accommodate a great variety of traits (e.g. ecological, behavioural and morphological) measured at individual, species or higher taxonomic levels. Records are accompanied by extensive metadata (e.g. location and method). The database is curated by an expert team, regularly updated and open to any user. A future goal of the growing database is to include all published and unpublished data on spider traits provided by experts worldwide and to facilitate broad cross-taxon assays in functional ecology and comparative biology.
