The Effects of Learning Facilities, Instructional Activities, and Teacher Assessments onStudents’ English Achievement of SMP/MTs in Ende

The problem raised in this study is to reveal the effects of learning facilities, instructional activities and teacher assessments on the students’ English achievement of SMP/MTs in Ende. This study aims to describe the effects of learning facilities, instructional activities, and teacher assessments on students’ English achievement of SMP/MTs in Ende. This research was ex-post facto, involving three independent variables and one dependent variable. The first independent variable (X1)waslearning facilities, the second independent variable (X2)was instructional activities, and the third independent variable (X3) was teacher assessments, students’ English achievement was the dependent variable (Y). This research was conducted at 10 SMPs/MTs in Ende. The population of this study wereeight graders of the schools i.e., 1146 students. The sample consisted of 278 students which wereestablished by using theproportionate random sampling technique. The research instruments were questionnaires and tests. The data were analyzed by using partial correlationsand multiple regressions. The result of the partial correlation analysis indicates that when instructional activities and teacher assessments werecontrolled, learning facilities have negative but insignificant effect on students’ English achievement (R=-0.026, sig 0.670), when learning facilities and teacher assessments werecontrolled, instructional activities have positivebut insignificant effect on students’ English achievement (R=0.050, sig 0.410),and when learning facilities and instructional activities were controlled, teacher assessments have positive and significant effect on students’ English achievement (R=0.322, sig 0.000). The result of multiple regression analysis indicates that learning facilities, instructional activities and teacher assessments havepositive and significant effects on students’ English achievement (R=0.436, sig 0.000)

Hydraulic Transmission of Agricultural Machine Appropriate for Treating Extreme Steep Farmland Terrains

The paper presents the conception and design of the hydraulic transmission for agricultural machine appropriate for the treatment of extreme steep farmland. The small IC diesel engine powers a hydraulic pump that feeds the drive system as well as all working accessories. Hydraulic transmission systems perfectly satisfy the basic condition about the lowest weight but initially, they require totally new management. This paper outlines a simple but effective management system consisting of basic valves, electric sensors, and switches, which fits perfectly this specialized machine. The management enables the use of the potential energy for powering the accessories. When climbing up and downhill, the power is automatically distributed to the driving wheels or a winch, depending on the situation on the terrain. Significant working situations of the machine are predicted and analyzed. The appropriate function diagrams, hydraulic schemas and analytical calculations are presented. To raise the efficiency of the machine the close and the open hydraulic circuits are treated and analyzed. The machine is prototyped and partially tested. The results confirmed a big fuel saving of about 30 percent as predicted

Penerapan Metode Eksperimen Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Ipa Kelas V SD Inpres Kalang Tubung II Kota Makassar

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Inpres Kalang Tubung II Kota Makassar. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimanakah Penerapan Metode Eksperimen Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran IPA Kelas V SD Inpres Kalang Tubung II Kota Makassar? Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode eksperimen dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Inpres Kalang Tubung II Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini adalah penilitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang bersiklus yaitu meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah guru dan murid kelas V SD Inpres Kalang Tubung II Kota Makassar dengan jumlah murid 42 orang dengan materi pokok cahaya dan sifat-sifatnya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa pada setiap siklus, aktifitas belajar mengajar mengalami peningkatan yaitu siklus I berada pada kategori cukup (C) menjadi kategori baik (B) pada siklus II. Selain peningkatan aktivitas belajar juga terjadi peningkatan terhadap hasil belajar IPA murid yaitu pada siklus I berada pada kategori cukup (C) sedangkan pada siklus II berada pada kategori baik (B). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas V SD Inpres Kalang Tubung II Kota Makassar

PROYEK INTERKULTURAL DI SMAN 2 MAUMERE DAN IMPLIKASINYA BAGI PENDIDIKAN NILAI- NILAI INTERKULTURAL

Keberagaman merupakan suatu realitas yang ada dalam eksistensi kehidupan manusia. Manusia tak dapat menyangkal realitas keberagaman itu. Sebab sebagai makhluk sosial ia berada dalam suatu kenyataan plural dan senantiasa membangun relasi dengan yang lain demi mewujudkan kebaikan bersama. Keberagaman biasanya terwujud dalam perbedaan budaya, agama, bahasa, adat-isitiadat, status social, mentalitas dan sebagainya. Berhadapan dengan keberagaman ini setiap pribadi dituntut untuk saling mengakui dan menerima, saling belajar dan memperkaya satu sama lain. Dalam konteks keberagaman di lingkungan SMAN II Maumere, setiap siswa-siswi dihadapkan pada realitas keberagaman yang tidak saja menjadi peluang tapi juga sering tampak sebagai suatu tantangan dalam membangun kehidupan bersama. Mengembangkan suatu budaya ramah dan interaktif dalam lingkungan sekolah itu bukan suatu pekerjaan yang mudah. Oleh karena itu, melalui proyek penerapan proyek interkultural, yang sadar dan partisipatif sejak tahap perencanaan hingga evaluasi akhir, para siswa-siswi dapat dibantu untuk memahami, mengenal yang lain dan menyikapi kehadiran mereka dengan ramah secara timbal balik demi kebaikan bersama. Yang lain atau yang berbeda bukanlah penghalang dalam mewujudkan diri secara utuh dan membangun kebaikan bersama melainkan peluang atau kesempatan berahmat melaluinya  setiap pribadi belajar terbuka, berinteraksi dan berdialog demi terciptanya suatu masyarakat yang terbuka dan inklusif mulai dari lingkungan sekolah. Setiap siswa-siswi diharapkan belajar mengakui, menerima, mengapresiasi dan menghargai keunikan dari setiap pribadi. Hanya dengan demikian, kesejahteraan bersama bisa terwujud secara berkelanjutan,  baik secara ke dalam lingkungan sekolah maupun secara keluar di tengah masyarakat luas

Influence of fuel properties on engine characteristics and tribology parameters

U radu se razmatra korištenje mineralnog dizelskog goriva, čistog biodizelskog goriva, te njegovih mješavina i utjecaj svojstava goriva na značajke motora s ciljem smanjenja štetnih emisija. Za eksperimente je korišten autobusni dizelov motor, te čisto biodizelsko gorivo proizvedeno iz repičina ulja i nekoliko njegovih mješavina s mineralnim dizelskim gorivom. Gustoća, viskoznost, površinska napetost i brzina zvuka ispitivanih goriva određivane su eksperimentalno i vrijednosti su uspoređivane s istima od mineralnog dizelskog goriva. Dobivene rezultate smo upotrijebili za analizu najvažnijih značajki motora i triboloških parametara.This paper deals with the mineral diesel, neat biodiesel and their blends and it discusses the influence of fuel properties on the engine characteristics with the aim to reduce harmful emissions. The considered engine is a bus diesel engine. The considered fuels are neat biodiesel from rapeseed oil and some of its blends with mineral diesel. The density, viscosity, surface tension, and sound velocity of tested fuels are determined experimentally and compared to those of mineral diesel. The obtained results are used to analyze the most important engine characteristics and tribology parameters

Implementasi Pandangan Plato tentang Negara Ideal dalam Toleransi Umat Beragama di Indonesia

Tulisan ini ditujukan untuk menumbuhkan rasa cinta pada negara sehingga masyarakat mampu menjadi manusia yang bernegara dan beragama. Rasa cinta pada negara menjadikan masyarakat mempunyai satu visi yang sama dengan negara. Menjadi manusia yang bernegara dan beragama memampukan seseorang dalam seluruh dirinya dituntun kepada panggilan hati nurani dan kesucian. Panggilan menjadi manusia bernegara tidak bisa tanpa menjadi manusia yang beragama, begitupun sebaliknya. Dengan metode kepustakaan dan analisis deskriptif, tulisan ini mencoba mengeksplorasi berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan. Melalui tulisan ini dapat dikatakan bahwa terwujudnya toleransi antar umat beragama berkaitan bagaimana menjadikan masyarakat memiliki kualitas hidup yang baik. Kualitas hidup yang baik ini bertitik tolak dari pandangan Plato mengenai negara ideal yang setiap orang memiliki kemauan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Influence of the rheological behaviour of the lubricant on the appearance of pitting in elastohydrodynamic eegime

This paper analyses the influence of lubricant behaviour on the appearance of pitting. It attempts to study the effect of viscosity?pressure relation, compressibility, film thickness?roughness relation and friction coefficient on pitting failure of the contacting elements.To explain these effects, we first deal with the influence of the oil on the lubrication of the contact using elastohydrodynamic theory and secondly two multiaxial fatigue criteria are used, Crossland criterion and Dang Van criterion, to evaluate the influence of the rheology on the appearance of pitting. Finally, different applications are presented together with a discussion on the results obtained

DEVELOPMENT OF THE INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR MONITORING SLOT MACHINES

V diplomskem delu smo predstavili izdelavo lastnega informacijskega sistema za spremljanje igre na igralnih avtomatih (ISIA), ki je združljiv z že obstoječim sistemom v ostalih Hitovih igralnicah in skupaj s sistemom proizvajalca Bally tvori popoln sistem sledenja igralcev. Da lahko spremljamo igro na igralnem avtomatu, potrebujemo napravo, s katero lahko zajemamo spremenljivke igralnega avtomata. Za ta namen smo razvili svojo strojno in programsko opremo. Vzporedno smo razvili še aplikacijo, ki je namenjena za upravljanje s sistemom. Po uspešnem testiranju smo v igralnici vzpostavili celotno mrežno infrastrukturo, ki je temelj za nemoteno delovanje sistema. Po izvedbi omrežja smo začeli z montažo pripadajoče opreme na posamezne igralne avtomate in sistem je bil pripravljen za uporabo. V nalogi smo še predstavili igralne avtomate in njihovo delovanje ter nadzorno informacijski sistem igralnih avtomatov.In this thesis, we presented the production of our own information system for game monitoring on gaming machines (ISIA), which is compatible with the existing system in other Hit\u27s casinos. Together with the system, manufactured by Bally, it creates a perfect system for tracking players. In order to track the game on gaming machines, we need a device which can capture the variables of gaming machines. For this purpose, we have developed our own hardware and software and parallel an application, designed to operate the system. After successful testing, the entire network infrastructure we set up in the casino, which is key to undisturbed functioning of the system. Following the execution of the network, the assembly of associated equipment on the individual gaming machines began and the system was ready for use. In the thesis we also presented the gaming machines and their functions, and the control information system of gaming machines
