This paper presents the results of a qualitative research study in the Principality of Asturias on current sharing of domestic tasks in Asturian families. Using focus groups, we show men and women's attitudes, preferences, and beliefs about family shared responsibilities. We also analyze to what extent those attitudes are influenced by gender stereotypes. Although we do not present exhaustively all the findings of the research, we discuss specific conclusions about negotiation and exchange processes that dominate the sharing of domestic labor

An elicitor isolated from smut teliospores (Sporisorium scitamineum) enhances lignin deposition on the cell wall on both sclerenchyma and xylem in sugarcane leaves
Sugarcane leaf shows the classical arrangement of cells which defines a C4 species. Vascular bundles consist of xylem, phloem and fibres, surrounded by an outer layer of sclereids and an inner ring of stone cells associated with the phloem. Some sclereids located below and above the vascular bundles act as docking cells and connect the vascular bundle to the internal surfaces of upper and lower layers of the epidermis. A compact mass of sclereids occupies the total internal volume of the leaf edge. Neither docking cells nor the internal mass of sclereids in the edge were markedly coloured by acriflavin or phloroglucinol, indicating the absence of lignin in their cell walls. However, such staining indicated that fibres of the vascular bundle and the external layer of sclereids were strongly lignified. Incubation of leaf discs with an elicitor produced by the pathogen Sporisorium scitamineum increased the thickness of the lignified cell walls of sclereids as well as the mid and small xylem vessels, as a possible mechanical defense response to the potential entry of the pathogen

Hacia la corresponsabilidad familiar: "Construir lo cotidiano. Un programa de educación parental".
Nowadays, family co-responsability which implies a new model of shared fatherhood and motherhood, is on one of the most important topics when we analyse and study families’ dynamics. The aim of these pages is to present the programme Constructing the daily routines. A programme of family education which has been designed by the research group ASOCED to work with mothers and fathers with children in Pre-primary and Primary Education. We consider this is an important period in parents and children lives as it is in this moment when families start the construction of their educational model in cooperation with another relevant socialization institution, that is, the school. The programme model is based on parents and mothers’ implicit conceptions of the education and socialization of their daughters and sons. Taking these preconceptions into account, the programme tries to check family dynamics, to reconstruct the frame of relations, the division of the tasks and the redistribution of responsibilities, so that habits of equality, solidarity and shared responsibility are promoted in mothers and fathers. Therefore, the programme focuses on the transformation of families attitudes, preferences and beliefs dealing with sexual roles and moreover on the different ways of combining the remunerated and domestic work. The main conclusion could be that it would be impossible to desire and aspire to democratic, egalitarian, participative, adaptative and tolerant societies and families when, inside them, models and spaces of experience of the above mentioned values are not generated and promoted.
Suicidal behaviour and cognition: A systematic review with special focus on prefrontal deficits
BACKGROUND: Suicide is a major health concern worldwide, thus, identifying risk factors would enable a more comprehensive understanding and prevention of this behaviour. Neuropsychological alterations could lead to difficulties in interpreting and managing life events resulting in a higher risk of suicide.
METHOD: A systematic literature search from 2000 to 2020 was performed in Medline (Pubmed), Web of Science, SciELO Citation Index, PsycInfo, PsycArticles and Cochrane Library databases regarding studies comparing cognition of attempters versus non-attempters that share same psychiatric diagnosis.
RESULTS: 1.885 patients diagnosed with an Affective Disorder (n=1512) and Schizophrenia/ Schizoaffective Disorder (n=373) were included. In general comparison, attention was found to be clearly dysfunctional. Regarding diagnosis, patients with Schizophrenia and previous history of suicidal behaviour showed a poorer performance in executive function. Patients with current symptoms of an Affective Disorder and a previous history of suicidal attempt had poorer performance in attention and executive function. Similarly, euthymic affective patients with history of suicidal behaviour had worse decision-making, attention and executive function performance compared to euthymic non-attempters.
LIMITATIONS: The number of papers included in this review is limited to the few studies using non-attempter clinically-matched control group and therefore results regarding diagnosis, symptomatology and time of the attempt are modest and contradictory.
CONCLUSIONS: Patients who have attempted suicide have a poorer neuropsychological functioning than non-attempters with a similar psychiatric disorder in attention and executive function. These alterations increase vulnerability for suicide. This work was supported by Carlos III Health Research Institute[grant numbers PI14/02029, PI15/00793, PI15/00789, PI16/01164,PI17/01433 and PI18/01055 (co-financed by the European RegionalDevelopment Fund(FEDER/ERDF)/European Social Fund‘Investing inyour future’ and the Government of the Principality of Asturias PCTI-2018–2022 IDI/2018/235)], Foundation for Health Innovation andResearch (BIOEF); Bioaraba Research Institute; Networking Center forBiomedical Research in Mental Health (CIBERSAM), the BasqueGovernment [grant numbers 2015111024, 2017111104] and theUniversity of the Basque Country [grant number 321212ELBY]. Effect of β-Glucans in Diets on Growth, Survival, Digestive Enzyme Activity, and Immune System and Intestinal Barrier Gene Expression for Tropical Gar (Atractosteus tropicus) Juveniles
The application of β-1,3/1,6-glucan derived from yeast at five concentrations (0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0%) in formulated diets was evaluated in juveniles for its effects on the growth, survival, digestive enzymatic activity, and expression of genes associated with the immune system (interlukin-10 (IL-10), transforming growth factor (TGF), occludin (OCC), mucin2 (MUC2), lysozyme (LYS), and nucleotide-binding and oligomerization domain 2 (NOD2)) in tropical gar (Atractosteus tropicus). For the experiment, three replicates of 30 fish per experimental unit (70 L) were cultivated for 62 days. The growth results showed no statistically significant differences in relation to weight and total length between treatments. The activity of digestive enzymes (alkaline proteases, trypsin, leucine aminopeptidase, and amylase) did not show significant differences between treatments, except for chymotrypsin activity, where fish fed 1.0% and 1.5% of β-glucans showed higher activities compared with the rest of the treatments. On the other hand, the analysis of gene expression did not show significant differences between treatments, although a tendency of increase in the expression of IL-10, TGF, MUC2, and OCC was observed with an addition of 1.5% of the prebiotic, but there was a decrease in the fish fed with 2% of the prebiotic. It is possible to include concentrations of between 0.5% and 1.5% of β-glucans in the diets for A. tropicus, with no detectable adverse effects on growth, survival, digestive enzyme activity, or specific gene expression. β-glucan 1,3/1,6 added at 1.0% and 1.5% in the diet significantly increases chymotrypsin activity.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Easy Clean
Easy Clean is an enterprise that is formed by a community of professionals who are experts in cleaning homes (apartments and houses), who perform different cleaning services at home, these services are only for people who reside in Metropolitan Lima in zones 6 (Jesus Maria, Lince, Pueblo Libre, Magdalena and San Miguel), zone 7 (Miraflores, San Isidro, San Borja y Surco) and zone 8 (Surquillo, Barranco and Chorrillos) that have a socioeconomic level B and C and that their ages mostly oscillate between 25 to 55 years of age.
The business idea arises since it is currently tedious to formally hire a cleaning staff, due to the insecurity that our country lives and because it is not easy to find recommended people who do an excellent cleaning job. Likewise, after analyzing the market, this project arises in order to guarantee a quality service, available 24 hours a day throughout the week and with easy contact since we will have digital channels such as a web platform and social networks (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp Business) in which each service provided is detailed and the transaction can be carried out.Trabajo de investigació
Impaired spermatogenesis in infertile patients with orchitis and experimental autoimmune orchitis in rats
Experimental autoimmune orchitis (EAO) is a well-established rodent model of organ-specific autoimmunity associated with infertility in which the testis immunohistopathology has been extensively studied. In contrast, analysis of testis biopsies from infertile patients associated with inflammation has been more limited. In this work, testicular biopsies from patients with idiopathic non-obstructive azoospermia diagnosed with hypospermatogenesis (HypoSp) [mild: n = 9, and severe: n = 11], with obstructive azoospermia and complete Sp (spermatogenesis) (control group, C, n = 9), and from Sertoli cell-only syndrome (SCOS, n = 9) were analyzed for the presence of immune cells, spermatogonia and Sertoli cell (SCs) alterations, and reproductive hormones levels. These parameters were compared with those obtained in rats with EAO. The presence of increased CD45+ cells in the seminiferous tubules (STs) wall and lumen in severe HypoSp is associated with increased numbers of apoptotic meiotic germ cells and decreased populations of undifferentiated and differentiated spermatogonia. The SCs showed an immature profile with the highest expression of AMH in patients with SCOS and severe HypoSp. In SCOS patients, the amount of SCs/ST and Ki67+ SCs/ST increased and correlated with high serum FSH levels and CD45+ cells. In the severe phase of EAO, immune cell infiltration and apoptosis of meiotic germ cells increased and the number of undifferentiated and differentiated spermatogonia was lowest, as previously reported. Here, we found that orchitis leads to reduced sperm number, viability, and motility. SCs were mature (AMH-) but increased in number, with Ki67+ observed in severely damaged STs and associated with the highest levels of FSH and inflammatory cells. Our findings demonstrate that in a scenario where a chronic inflammatory process is underway, FSH levels, immune cell infiltration, and immature phenotypes of SCs are associated with severe changes in spermatogenesis, leading to azoospermia. Furthermore, AMH and Ki67 expression in SCs is a distinctive marker of severe alterations of STs in human orchitis.Fil: Amarilla, María Sofía.
