Description and molecular phylogeny of a new and one known needle nematode of the genus Paralongidorus (Nematoda: Longidoridae) from grapevine in Portugal

A new and a known longidorid nematode, Paralongidorus lusitanicus n. sp. and Paralongidorus plesioepimikis, are described and illustrated from populations extracted from soil associated with grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) from Escaroupim and Pó (central-Western Portugal), respectively. The new needle nematode P. lusitanicus n. sp. is characterised by a very large body size (8072–12,022 μm), an expanded and rounded lip region, ca 30 μm wide, with a clear constriction followed by a depression posterior to the amphidial aperture, amphidial fovea very large (11.0–19.0 μm), stirrup-shaped, with conspicuous slit-like aperture as shown in scanning electron microscopy studies, a very long and flexible odontostyle (180.0–223.0 μm), guiding ring located at 28.0–41.5 μm from anterior end, vulva anterior to the mid-body (34–41%), a dorsally convex-conoid tail with rounded terminus (29–42 μm long), bearing two or three pairs of caudal pores and males common (ratio 1:1.6 females) with spicules ca 80 μm long. Morphological and morphometric traits for P. plesioepimikis fit well with the original description, and is reported for the first time in Portugal. Integrative diagnosis of both species was completed with molecular data obtained using D2-D3 expansion segments of 28S rDNA, ITS1-rDNA and partial 18S–rDNA. The phylogenetic relationships of these species with other Paralongidorus spp. using these three molecular markers indicated that P. lusitanicus n. sp. clustered together with other Paralongidorus spp. forming a sister clade with P. plesioepimikis, both of them sharing a large body, long odontostyle, an anteriorly located vulva and an expanded and rounded lip region with a clear constriction followed by a depression posterior to the amphidial aperture

Les darreres gires dels balls russos de Diaghileva a España: Barcelona (1924-1927)

El presente trabajo analiza la cobertura mediática de la prensa publicada en Barcelona en los años que van de 1924 a 1927 del espectáculos de los bailes rusos del empresario Sergue Diaghilev y su reaparición en el Gran Teatre del Liceu desde su última actuación en el año 1918. Se describen las sesiones y la composición de los programas de los días de actuación junto con las impresiones de la crítica teatral sobre las representaciones de los ballets russes.The present work analyses the media coverage in the press published in Barcelona during the period from 1924 to 1927 regarding the Russian dance shows organised by the businessman Sergue Diaghilev and its reappearance in the Gran Teatre del Liceu since the last performance in 1918. Preproducción del capítulo piloto de la webserie "Paquita Salas"

Después de todo lo que he aprendido durante la carrera, he descubierto que lo que más me ha gustado y lo que más me ha llamado la atención a la hora de decidir a qué me gustaría dedicarme una vez salga al mercado laboral es la fase de preproducción de una pieza audiovisual ya sea, largometraje, cortometraje, capítulo de serie, etc. Pero, sobre todo, me ha gustado la preproducción de los capítulos de series de televisión como descubrí cuando realizamos la webserie ‘Sexto sin ascensor’. Es la práctica con la que más he disfrutado en el grado y me hizo ver que esa es mi vocación. Por eso, mi objetivo en este trabajo es experimentar con la preproducción de un capítulo piloto de una de las series que me gustan ‘Paquita Salas’, y así recordar cómo se realiza todo y también aprender cosas nuevas a la hora de documentarme para realizar el trabajo. Por ello, he encontrado el guion del capítulo piloto de la serie (en una web libre de derechos) y yo misma he generado el resto de documentos necesarios en una preproducción basándome en el guion: guion técnico, desglose, plan de rodaje… Mi TFG me ha resultado muy útil porque me ha permitido recopilar prácticamente todo lo necesario en una preproducción en un solo dossier y que me será de gran ayuda a la hora de realizar mis propios trabajos en el futuro. Con todo el trabajo que he llegado a realizar, me he sentido bastante profesional para ser una principiante. Creo que lo más relevante de este trabajo es que he llegado a crear yo misma todos los documentos necesarios con el único apoyo del guion literario gracias a todos los conocimientos que he adquirido en el grado y más concretamente en la asignatura de Dirección de Producción. Mi conclusión es que he sido capaz de recopilar el trabajo de preproducción en un solo dossier, y aunque una preproducción requiere de mucho más trabajo, al menos sirve como una guía de apoyo para principiantes como yo. Creo que con algo más de práctica podría llegar a realizar mis propios trabajos y aunque ahora mismo tengo poca experiencia profesional, finalmente llegaría a ser mi profesiónAfter everything I have learned during my career, I have discovered that what I liked the most and what caught my attention the most when deciding what I would like to dedicate myself to once I enter the labor market is the pre-production phase of an audiovisual piece either, feature film, short film, series chapter, etc. But, above all, I liked the pre-production of the television series episodes, as I discovered when we made the web series ‘Sixth without a lift’. It is the practice with which I have most enjoyed in the degree and it made me see that this is my vocation. For this reason, my objective in this work is to experiment with the pre-production of a pilot episode of one of the series that I like 'Paquita Salas', and thus remember how everything is done and also learn new things when documenting myself to make the job. For this reason, I found the script for the pilot chapter of the series (on a royalty-free website) and I myself have generated the rest of the necessary documents in a pre-production based on the script: technical script, breakdown, shooting plan ... My Final Degree Project has been very useful to me because it allowed me to collect practically everything necessary in a pre-production in a single dossier and that will be of great help to me when doing my own work in the future. With all the work I have done, I have felt quite professional for a beginner. I think the most relevant thing about this work is that I could create all the necessary documents myself with the sole support of the literary script thanks to all the knowledge that I acquired in the degree and more specifically in the Production Direction subject. My conclusion is that I have been able to compile the pre-production work into a single dossier, and while a pre-production requires a lot more work, it at least serves as a supporting guide for beginners like me. Homomorphic Filtering for Improving Time Synchronization in Wireless Networks

Wireless sensor networks are used to sample the environment in a distributed way. Therefore, it is mandatory for all of the measurements to be tightly synchronized in order to guarantee that every sensor is sampling the environment at the exact same instant of time. The synchronization drift gets bigger in environments suffering from temperature variations. Thus, this work is focused on improving time synchronization under deployments with temperature variations. The working hypothesis demonstrated in this work is that the clock skew of two nodes (the ratio of the real frequencies of the oscillators) is composed of a multiplicative combination of two main components: the clock skew due to the variations between the cut of the crystal of each oscillator and the clock skew due to the different temperatures affecting the nodes. By applying a nonlinear filtering, the homomorphic filtering, both components are separated in an effective way. A correction factor based on temperature, which can be applied to any synchronization protocol, is proposed. For testing it, an improvement of the FTSP synchronization protocol has been developed and physically tested under temperature variation scenarios using TelosB motes flashed with the IEEE 802.15.4 implementation supplied by TinyOS

First report of root-knot nematode Meloidogyne hispanica infecting grapevines in southern Spain

Desarrollo de un sistema de toma de decisiones autónomo y ejemplo de aplicación a servicios de seguridad bajo demanda

Existen multitud de sistemas de adquisición de datos autónomos basados en diferentes metodologías, muchos de ellos se imparten en la educación universitaria y otros por el contrario surgen de un exhaustivo trabajo de investigación científica. Estos sistemas se aplican hoy en día en un gran número de áreas, siendo todas ellas muy diversas aunque con importantes nexos comunes. En el presente artículo se propone, a partir de un proyecto fin de carrera, un sistema autónomo de adquisición de datos y reconocimiento del entorno, con un alto índice de escalabilidad e integración a nuevos espacios. Para probar su eficacia se propone también una aplicación robotizada que utiliza estas características en el área de la seguridad, un campo en el que resultan especialmente claras las propiedades diferenciadoras del método propuesto

Videojuegos de estrategia en Educación Matemática. Una propuesta didáctica en secundaria

En este trabajo presentamos el análisis de una propuesta didáctica basada en una actividad de modelización para trabajar conceptos y procedimientos matemáticos mediante el videojuego Bloons Tower Defense 5. Se trata de un videojuego del género de defensa de torres y es un juego de estrategia en el que el jugador debe defender un territorio utilizando torres defensivas que disparan fuego a los enemigos de forma autónoma. El análisis de la propuesta didáctica presentada se basa en una experiencia llevada a cabo con alumnos de 4º curso de ESO y, según los resultados, se realizarán algunas propuestas de mejora al modelo de enseñanza inicial. La propuesta diseñada permite trabajar contenidos del bloque de funciones a través de la resolución de problemas de modelización, además los resultados de este estudio exploratorio pueden posibilitar la realización de investigaciones en el ámbito de la modelización

Elaboración de papel indicador a base de extractos naturales: una alternativa fundamentada en experiencias de laboratorio para el aprendizaje del concepto de pH

El siguiente artículo se encuentra enmarcado en experiencias de laboratorio que se orientan desde diagramas de flujo muy sintéticos e ilustrativos, que promueven un acercamiento al concepto estructurante de pH, y su relación con el comportamiento ácido-base y las soluciones buffer. Para la enseñanza de dichos conceptos, se efectuó la elaboración y estandarización de tres tipos de papel indicador de pH, utilizando sustancias naturales, tales como la col lombarda, los pétalos de rosa roja y el curry, insumos de fácil consecución y cuyo comportamiento químico permite la consolidación de este tipo de conceptos estructurantes, aspecto que fue evidenciado en su posterior aplicación a una serie de sustancias de uso cotidiano, en diversos rangos de la escala de pH, lograda desde una colección de soluciones amortiguadoras preparadas por los estudiantes.Palabras clave: Experiencia de laboratorio; concepto estructurante; pH; comportamiento ácido-base; soluciones buffer, papel indicador.Indicator paper made of natural excerpts: an alternative based on laboratory experiences for learning of the pH conceptThis article is framed in laboratory experiments directed from synthetic and illustrative flowcharts, which promote a structured approach to the concept of pH, and their relation with the acid- base behavior and buffer solutions. To teach such concepts, it was necessary the development and standardization of three types of pH indicator paper as well as the use of natural substances such as red cabbage, red rose petals and the curry which are easily found in the market and present a chemical behavior that allows the consolidation of such structuring concepts.
