El flujo migratorio de la población mexicana a Estados Unidos se ha constituido como una cultura propia, con una red de relaciones complejas: económicas, políticas, sociales, identitarias, que necesita ser estudiada desde un punto de vista interdisciplinario y abierto. De este modo, es posible entender el modo en el que la literatura, y quienes la realizan como una práctica cultural específica en el seno de los Estados Unidos, se ha mostrado como un espacio donde la discusión en torno a la identidad, el lenguaje y la experiencia de las minorías se encuentra vigente de manera explícita.The migratory flow of the Mexican population to the United States has created its own culture with a network of complex relations: economic, political, social, identity, that need to be studied from an interdisciplinary point of view. La hiperviolencia fronteriza en el espejo de la violencia en el cómic : "Juárez" 30 Days of Night: Bloodsucker Tales

Con base en la lectura crítica de un conjunto de imágenes recogidas en el cómic "Juárez" 30 Days of Night: Bloodsucker Tales se trata de poner en evidencia los modos en los que la violencia de la frontera, a partir del hecho extraordinario y terrible del asesinato de más de 400 mujeres (a principios del siglo XX), sirve como punto de partida para alimentar una historia fantástica que, a partir de imágenes aparentemente desdibujadas e imprecisas en los detalles, pero de gran contundencia en términos narrativos. Las imágenes fantásticas se conforman así como metáforas de la impartición de justicia, de la vigencia de los mitos urbanos y del verdadero (y por tanto, más temible) ejercicio de la violencia.This critical reading of the comic "Juárez" 30 Days of Night: Bloodsucker Tales seeks to highlight the ways in which the hyperviolence of the border between Mexico and the United States, beginning with the murder of more than 400 women at the beginning of the 21st century, serves as a starting point for a story of vampires with great iconic and textual force in narrative terms. The monstrous characters take the shape of metaphors of the delivery of justice, of the validity of urban myths and of the true (and therefore, more formidable) exercise of the violence on the part of human beings. El ePortafolio como instrumento para fomentar la autorregulación del aprendizaje

El desarrollo de la capacidad de autorregulación es reconocido como un factor clave para el éxito académico en Educación Superior (Warburton y Volet, 2012). El ePortafolio emplea los medios tecnológicos para recopilar las tareas realizadas por los estudiantes con un objetivo determinado. Es un instrumento muy apropiado para el desarrollo de la autorregulación al centrarse, principalmente, en el proceso y no sólo en el resultado final. En este artículo se exponen los factores clave para su desarrollo a lo largo de las tres fases que componen el proceso de autorregulación, en base aZimmerman (2000). Es necesario destacar la gran importancia de actividades metacognitivas, como la autoevaluación y la evaluación entre iguales, para la continua reflexión, identificación de aciertos y errores yajuste de las estrategias de aprendizaje.Con el desarrollo tecnológico actual, es necesario que cada alumno pueda personalizar su ePortafolio creando un Entorno Personal de Aprendizaje en el que los estudiantes sean capaces de incorporar las herramientas que crean convenientes para demostrar sus competencias.Development of self-regulation is recognized as a key factor for academic achievement in Higher Education (Warburton & Volet, 2012). ePortfolio uses technological resources for collecting the tasks performed by the students with a particular aim. It is a really appropriate tool because of its focus on the process and not only on the final result. In this paper, key features for self-regulation are organized around three stages according to Zimmerman's model(Zimmerman, 2000). It has to be stressed the great importance of metacognitive activities as self-assessment and peer-assessment for reflection, identification of successes and mistakes and selection of learning strategies. With the current technological development, it's mandatory that every student can create their Personal Learning Environment in order to incorporate the tools they consider more convenient to demonstrate their skills

Análisis de prensa de los casos de dopaje de Marta Domínguez y Alberto Contador: ¿héroes o villanos?

Alberto Contador (cyclist) and Marta Domínguez (athlete), two of the most relevant Spanish sportsmen, were involved since 2010 to 2012 in two cases related to doping. This text will analyze, using quantitative and qualitative techniques, the treatment that both cases have received by two Spanish newspapers (i.e., El Mundo and El País) and how these sportsmen have been different portrayed according to issues such as economics, politics, presumption of innocence, privacy and sport nationalism as consequence of the public impact that both cases have had in the international image portrayed by the Spanish sport.Dos de los deportistas españoles más importantes, Alberto Contador (ciclista) y Marta Domínguez (atleta), estuvieron involucrados entre 2010 y 2012 en dos casos relacionados con el dopaje. Este texto analizará, de forma cualitativa y cuantitativa, el tratamiento que han recibido ambos casos por dos periódicos españoles (El Mundo y El País) y cómo estos deportistas han sido retratados por estos medios de comunicación de manera diferente en relación a cuestiones tales como la implicación económica, la política, la presunción de inocencia, su vida privada y el nacionalismo deportivo como consecuencia de la repercusión pública que ambos casos han tenido y la imagen internacional que se ha proyectado del deporte español

A System of Indicators for Socio-Economic Evaluation and Monitoring of Global Change: An Approach Based on the Picos de Europa National Park

National Parks are spaces that are of great interest for evaluating and monitoring global environmental change as these parks encompass natural, cultural, and rural features, along with ecological processes, which are subject to social or economic changes that are much more difficult to track outside of these spaces. To do this, it is necessary to have a sufficient set of data and indicators to monitor the effects of global change in the short, mid, and long term. The majority of indicators have been developed to monitor the bio-geophysical environment; socio-economic indicators of global change for National Parks are much more limited. The aim of this paper is to present a system of indicators for socio-economic evaluation and monitoring of global change for the Picos de Europa National Park. This park has two unique features: it has one of the two systems of socio-economic indicators developed for the Spanish National Parks, and it is practically the only one of Spain’s 16 National Parks with human populations living within its boundaries. Many of the indicators specifically developed for this park can be used for other national parks that have similar characteristics.This research was funded by Fundación Biodiversidad 2010/00171/001. Henkilöstötuottavuuden raportoinnin kehittäminen Palmiassa

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli pohtia henkilöstötuottavuuden raportoinnin kehittämistä ja hyödyllisyyttä toimeksiantajayritykselle. Tarkoituksena oli mahdollisuuksien selvittäminen henkilöstötuottavuuden seuraamiseksi ja tunnuslukujen saatavuuden kartoittaminen. Tavoitteena oli myös arvioida käytännön tunnuslukujen kautta henkilöstötuottavuutta kahden eri Palmian koulu- ja päiväkotipalveluiden aluepäällikön alueiden välillä. Toimeksiantajayrityksellä ei ollut käytössä selkeää mallia henkilöstötuottavuuden seuraamiseksi. Opinnäytetyö tehtiin kehittämishankkeena, ja se koostuu teoriaosuudesta sekä tunnuslukujen vertailusta ja raportoinnin kehittämismahdollisuuksista. Raportissa oli alkuun johdanto, joka käsitti työn sisällön ja aihepiirin esittelyn. Sen jälkeen käsiteltiin teoriaosuus, jossa oli tietoa henkilöstötuottavuudesta, organisaation rakenteesta ja kehitysvaiheista, työhyvinvoinnin merkityksestä henkilöstötuottavuuteen sekä esiteltiin raportissa käytettävät tunnuslukujen kaavat. Raportin lopussa oli vertailua kahden eri alueen tunnusluvuista ja arviointi henkilöstötuottavuuden raportoinnin mahdollisuuksista toimeksiantajayrityksessä. Raportissa huomioitiin näkökulma toimeksiantajayrityksen liiketoimintamallin tilanteesta. Raportin prosessin edetessä tuli esille, ettei esimiesten tarvitsemia tunnuslukuja henkilöstötuottavuuden seuraamiseksi ole helposti saatavana. Myös vertailulukujen saaminen toimialan muilta yksityisiltä yrityksiltä ei ole mahdollista yritysten salassapitovelvollisuuden vuoksi. Julkiselta sektorilta luvut on mahdollista saada, mutta vertailu on työlästä, koska toiminnoissa on eroja.The aim of the present study was to develop the ways of reporting personnel productivity and its usefulness for the client company. The purpose was to identify possible solutions for following up personnel productivity and to find out the availability of the key indicators. The client company did not have a clear model for monitoring personnel productivity. The theoretical part was based on literature of personnel productivity. It dealt with organizational structure and stages of development, the meaning of well-being in work life and different calculation formulas. This study was a development project and consisted of a theoretical part and a comparison of indicators and reporting of development opportunities. At the end of the report was to compare the indicators in two different areas and assessment of personnel productivity reporting possibilities of the client company. These figures were obtained from the company's financial reports. During the process, it became clear that the needed indicators for the managers to follow were not readily available. Additionally, it proved to be problematic to get the figures from other companies due to confidentiality which prevented the comparison between different companies. The comparison of indicators is possible and report showed that it is useful to start develops of monitoring of personnel productivity

Racismo en el fútbol profesional español (1ª y 2ª división). Temporadas 2004-05 y 2005-06. (Racism in the Spanish professional football (1st and 2nd division). Seasons 2004-05 and 2005-06).

<b>Resumen</b><p align="justify">En la presente investigación se analizan los incidentes racistas ocurridos en los partidos de liga del fútbol profesional español en 1ª y 2ª división durante las temporadas 2004-05 y 2005-06. Para realizar dicho análisis se han empleado tres fuentes oficiales: 1. Actas de la Comisión Nacional contra la Violencia en los Espectáculos Deportivos, 2. Informes trimestrales realizados por la Oficina Nacional del Deporte perteneciente a la Dirección General de la Policía, y 3. Actas arbitrales. Los resultados muestran cómo el número total de incidentes racistas se mantuvo prácticamente constante en ambas temporadas aunque en 2ª división el número de incidentes se duplicó. En cuanto a la tipología de los incidentes recogidos, el 79% hace relación a conductas e insultos racistas mientras que el 21% restante se refiere a la exhibición de simbología de carácter racista. También se muestran datos de los clubes cuyos seguidores han ocasionado más incidentes racistas; cuántos de esos incidentes fueron protagonizados por grupos ultras; así como el número de personas implicadas y las propuestas de sanción realizadas por la Comisión Nacional contra la Violencia. Por último se reflejan los colegiados que recogieron en sus actas arbitrales incidentes racistas y/o xenófobos.</p><b> Abstract</b><p align="justify"> This investigation analyzes the racist incidents occurred during spanish proffesional football games of the 1st and 2nd division in the seasons 2004-05 and 2005-06. To conduct such analysis it was used three official sources: 1. Minutes of the National Committee against Violence in Public Spectacles, 2. Quarterly reports elaborated by the Sport National Bureau belonging to the Police National Department, and 3. Referees’ minutes. Results show how the total number of racist incidents was practically the same in both seasons, however in the 2nd division the number of incidents was twice as compared to the 1st division. Regarding the typology of the incidents analyzed, 79 % were related to racist behaviors and insults, and 21 % to exhibition of racist symbology. In addition, this study shows the clubs which supporters have been involved in more racist incidents and the number of these incidents related with groups of hooligans. Number of people involved and sanctions proposals elaborated by the National Committee against Violence were also included. Finally, it is the list with the names of the referees that have written racist or xenophobic incidents in their minutes.</p
