    Get PDF
El corpus utilizado corresponde a poemas seleccionados del texto Proyecto de obras completas (2013).This article aims to make a new proposal for the analysis of the poetry of Rodrigo Lira (1949-1981) from the textuality articulates the historical-political dimension and the «trauma» cultural experience at a specific moment of chilean society, namely, post military coup. From an interdisciplinary approach that considers the contribution of cultural studies and psychoanalysis, the hypothesis holds that in the poetry of the author's versions of political historical trauma understood as discursive tensions correspond to a process of proposal / discursive and ideological resistance. The corpus used correspond to select poems form the text Proyecto de obras completas (2013).http://ref.scielo.org/39zjr

Sub-graph based Multicast Protection in WDM Networks: A Multi/Many-Objective Evolutionary Algorithms approaches

In this paper is addressed the multicast routing-and-protection, and wavelength assignment (MRPWA) problem which is critical for the success of applications point-multipoint in WDM networks. Basically, it is proposed the design of the primary and protection multicast routes, where the resources protection are based on sub-graph protection strategy subject to the quality requirements of the QoP protection: dedicated (1 + 1), shared (M: N) and better effort (without protection). In this way, NSGA-II and NSGA-III, evolutionary algorithms, are applied to MRPWA considering multi- and many-objectives optimization context, respectively. The evolutionary algorithms optimize simultaneously: (i) the total number of links used, (ii) the number of wavelength converters, (iii) the number of splitter nodes, and (iv) the number of destinations served-and-protected. Considering Hyper-volume measure, the experimental tests on a set of instances indicate that the protection approach based on sub-graph proves to be promising in comparison to the dualtree protection strategy. On the other hand, the evolutionary technique oriented to many-objectives (NSGA-III) is more convenient than the oriented towards multi-objectives (NSGA-II) in the study problem.XIII Workshop Arquitectura, Redes (WARSO)Red de Universidades con Carreras en Informática (RedUNCI

Performance Evaluation of Non-Hitless Spectrum Defragmentation Algorithms in Elastic Optical Networks

Fragmentation in Elastic Optical Networks is an issue caused by isolated, non-aligned, and non-contiguous frequency slots that can not be used to allocate new connection request to the network, due to the optical layer restrictions imposed to the Routing and Spectrum Assignment (RSA) algorithms. To deal with this issue, several studies about Spectrum Defragmentation have been presented. In this work, we analyze the most important Non-Hitless Defragmentation Algorithms found in the literature, with proactive and reactive approaches that include rerouting and non-rerouting schemes, and compare their performance in terms of Blocking Probability, Entropy, and Bandwidth Fragmentation Ratio. Simulations results showed that the Fragmentation Aware schemes outperformed the other algorithms in low traffic load, but the Reactive schemes got better results in high traffic load.Sociedad Argentina de Informática e Investigación Operativa (SADIO

Observation of Sex Chromatin in Exhumed Bones, Evaluation of their Diagnosis Value

Munoz, P (Munoz, Patricia); Roa, I (Roa, Ignacio). Univ Talca, Dept Ciencias Basicas Biomed, Talca, ChileObservation of sexual chromatin has shown to be very helpful in gender forensic diagnosis. In the present study we analyzed the diagnosis performance of the method in, non-treated or treated with conventional bone techniques, exhumed bone pieces. We used long bones of male and female individuals, the method applied is described in Suazo et al. (2010). In the non-treated exhumed pieces, the general accuracy of the method was 75%, while in the treated pieces the method was inapplicable due to the lack of cells in the tissue. Our results suggest that it is possible to determine the sex of aged human bones buried under different conditions through a fast and simple histological method, but the treatment with physical and chemical means eliminates the remaining cells in the bone tissue

Automated Variance-Based Sensitivity Analysis of a Heterogeneous Atomistic-Continuum System

    Get PDF
A fully automated computational tool for the study of the uncertainty in a mathematical-computational model of a heterogeneous multi-scale atomistic-continuum coupling system is implemented and tested in this project. This tool can facilitate quantitative assessments of the model’s overall uncertainty for a given specific range of variables. The computational approach here is based on the polynomial chaos expansion using projection variance, a pseudo-spectral method. It also supports regression variance, a point collocation method with nested quadrature point where the random sampling method takes a dictionary of the names of the parameters which are manually defined to vary with corresponding distributions. The tool in conjunction with an existing platform for verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification offers a scientific simulation environment and data processing workflows that enables the execution of simulation and analysis tasks on a cluster or supercomputing platform with remote submission capabilities

Infering Air Quality from Traffic Data using Transferable Neural Network Models

    Get PDF
This work presents a neural network based model for inferring air quality from traffic measurements. It is important to obtain information on air quality in urban environments in order to meet legislative and policy requirements. Measurement equipment tends to be expensive to purchase and maintain. Therefore, a model based approach capable of accurate determination of pollution levels is highly beneficial. The objective of this study was to develop a neural network model to accurately infer pollution levels from existing data sources in Leicester, UK. Neural Networks are models made of several highly interconnected processing elements. These elements process information by their dynamic state response to inputs. Problems which were not solvable by traditional algorithmic approaches frequently can be solved using neural networks. This paper shows that using a simple neural network with traffic and meteorological data as inputs, the air quality can be estimated with a good level of generalisation and in near real-time. By applying these models to links rather than nodes, this methodology can directly be used to inform traffic engineers and direct traffic management decisions towards enhancing local air quality and traffic management simultaneously.Universidad de Málaga. Investigación en modo 3: Una alternativa para la articulación investigación e intervención en educación superior

    Get PDF
