MyIPB Mobile - REST services aggregator for mobile application centered on student

Recently COVID-19 emerged and was soon declared as a pandemic due to the high rate of infection. As a result of the public policies arising from COVID-19, millions of people have their daily lives changed. In the case of students, the learning process was impacted. To address this problem, information technology comes into action with solutions such as electronic and mobile learning. In this context, there are several Learning Management System (LMS) that can assist in the learning process, such as Moodle, Blackboard, and Sakai. However, not all LMS have a mobile application to assist students and teachers in accessing their content, thus losing a powerful mechanism to support the learning process. This work proposes three architectures to aggregate and provides a mobile application to LMSs, one that uses the Serverless model and two that uses the Self-hosted model. Each one is composed of a backend and a mobile application. As a result, a performance test is executed on the Serverless architecture to verify the best way to implement the features in terms of performance

O PROJETO DA QUALIDE TOTAL EM SERVIÇOS COMO EMPREENDIMENTO DE FOMENTO À APRENDIZAGEM: ESTUDO DE CASO DA SEÇÃO DE CONSERVAÇÃO E MANUTENÇÃO DA UNESP EM ILHA SOLTEIRA.

Este artigo visa à apresentação do Projeto de Qualidade Total implantado na Seção de Conservação e Manutenção da UNESP - Câmpus de Ilha Solteira e seus desdobramentos enquanto empreendimento de otimização da gestão de pessoas e processos, inovador na aplicação do conhecimento setorial como estratégia que busca a excelência em serviços na atividade meio da Universidade, através do fortalecimento da aprendizagem organizacional em nível setorial. Para realização deste trabalho, foram implantados espaços de discussão com o grupo de servidores lotados na seção de conservação e manutenção – SCM, no qual pode-se observar as variáveis e paradigmas enfrentados pela seção e no contexto epla universidade pública. Através da fundamentação teórica das áreas de engenharia e educação pode-se implantar as ferramentas da qualidade na seção e nos processos de trabalho através da gestão participativa

O paradigma da manufatura enxuta na indústria de fundição

The lean manufacturing paradigm has been used in an extensive manner at some industrial sectors, like automobile industry, which its assembly lines of components, presents better adaptability to the lean concepts. This paper starts with the proposition of applying lean manufacturing concepts in productive processes, and contributes a lot to turn corporations more competitive. The foundry industry, small to medium sized plant, has the difficulty of implementing improvements in its internal logistics systems, and, it has to deal with the problem of temperature processes dependency, such as the casting and the cooling processes. Focus on line balancing and lay out improvement, this work researched the lean manufacturing paradigm application, in a foundry industry in Brazil, with special attention to line balancing. Este trabalho parte da proposição de que a aplicação dos conceitos de manufatura enxuta nos processos produtivos vem em muito contribuir para tornar as empresas mais competitivas. A indústria de fundição de pequeno e médio porte, além da dificuldade em implementar melhorias em seus sistemas logísticos internos, tem ainda que lidar com fatores como processos dependentes da temperatura, tanto na fusão como no resfriamento das peças. Com o foco na melhoria do balanceamento de linhas de produção e melhoria do lay out industrial, este trabalho pesquisou junto a uma indústria de fundição do Brasil, a aplicabilidade do conceito de manufatura enxuta, em especial o balanceamento de linhas de produção. Femtosecond laser-assisted deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty in phototherapeutic keratectomy versus the big-bubble technique in keratoconus

AIM: To compare the functional and anatomic results of femtosecond laser (FSL)-assisted deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK) associated with phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) and FSL-assisted DALK performed using the big-bubble technique in keratoconus. METHODS: During the first phase of the study, an electron microscopy histopathology pilot study was conducted that included four unsuitable donor corneas divided into two groups: in FSL group, FSL lamellar cuts were performed on two corneas and in FSL+ PTK group, PTK was performed at the stromal beds of two corneas after FSL lamellar cuts were made. During the second phase of the study, a randomized clinical trial was conducted that included two treatment groups of patients with keratoconus: group 1 (n= 14 eyes) underwent FSL-assisted DALK associated with PTK and group 2 (n= 12 eyes) underwent FSL-assisted DALK associated with the big-bubble technique. The main outcome measures were the postoperative visual acuity (VA) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) measurements, confocal microscopic findings, and contrast sensitivity. RESULTS: In the pilot study, histopathology showed a more regular stromal bed in the FSL+ PTK group. In the clinical trial, group 1 had significantly worse best spectacle-corrected VA and contrast sensitivity (P< 0.05 for both comparisons). The residual stromal bed measured by OCT was significantly (P< 0.05) thicker in group 1. Confocal microscopy detected opacities only at the donor-receptor interface in group 1. Assessment of quality of prescription by dental students

Objective: The main objective of this study was to evaluate changes in prescribing pattern of Dentistry students throughout academic course. Methods: A case of non-complicated dental extraction was presented to all students that had completed their pharmacology coursework (from 4th semester to the last semester). The students were grouped according to year of study and were asked to prescribe paracetamol for pain control. A maximal score of 5 points was calculated from three subscores for identification of professional and patient (1.0 point), drug concentration, dosage, and quantity (1.5 points); and drug information, instructions, and warnings (2.5 points). The data were expressed as medians [95% confidence intervals (CIs)] and were compared using the Kruskal-Wallis test followed by Dunn's post hoc test. A

Liquid crystal phase and waterlike anomalies in a core-softened shoulder-dumbbells system

Using molecular dynamics we investigate the thermodynamics, dynamics and structure of 250 diatomic molecules interacting by a core-softened potential. This system exhibits thermodynamics, dynamics and structural anomalies: a maximum in density-temperature plane at constante pressure and maximum and minimum points in the diffusivity and translational order parameter against density at constant temperature. Starting with very dense systems and decreasing density the mobility at low temperatures first increases, reach a maximum, then decreases, reach a minimum and finally increases. In the pressure-temperature phase diagram the line of maximum translational order parameter is located outside the line of diffusivity extrema that is enclosing the temperature of maximum density line. We compare our results with the monomeric system showing that the anisotropy due to the dumbbell leads to a much larger solid phase and to the appearance of a liquid crystal phase. the double ranged thermodynamic and dynamic anomalies.Comment: 14 pages, 5 figure

Gestão de estoques para controle de perdas: estudo em uma rede supermercadista

The study aims to analyze how the inventory management for loss control is performed in the context of a supermarket chain located in the city of Ituiutaba/MG. The case study was adopted as the research procedure. For the data survey questionnaires and interviews were used, in addition to the observation of reports and financial statements of the company. The data analysis employed a descriptive approach and content analysis for the interviews and documents considered. The results of the research allowed us to observe that some departments present considerable losses, as is the case of the horticulture, butchery and bakery departments. However, the losses measured by the chain between 2017 and 2021 were below the national indicators disclosed by the Brazilian Supermarket Association. In general, it can be seen that the company uses accounting information for effective loss control. In addition, the employees, together with the commercial director and the loss prevention manager, work on loss control in the quest to achieve the goals and improve the results of inventory management.O estudo tem como objetivo analisar a forma como é realizada a gestão de estoques para controle de perdas, no contexto de uma rede supermercadista localizada no município de Ituiutaba/MG. Adotou-se como procedimento de pesquisa o estudo de caso. Para o levantamento dos dados foram utilizados questionários, entrevistas, além da observação de relatórios e demonstrações contábeis da empresa. Para a análise dos dados empregou-se abordagem descritiva e análise de conteúdo para as entrevistas e documentos considerados. Os resultados da pesquisa permitiram observar que alguns departamentos apresentam perdas consideráveis, como é o caso do hortifrúti, açougue e padaria. Todavia, as perdas aferidas pela rede entre 2017 e 2021 estiveram abaixo dos indicadores nacionais divulgados pela Associação Brasileira de Supermercados. De modo geral, pode-se verificar que a empresa utiliza de informações contábeis para o efetivo controle de perdas. Além disso, os colaboradores, em conjunto com o diretor comercial e a gestora de prevenção de perdas, trabalham no controle de perdas na busca por atingir os objetivos e melhorar os resultados da gestão de estoques
