An Obstacle Detection System Using Depth Images

Vzhledem k neustálým nehodám způsobených na parkovišti, ale i na cestách, při pohybu ve skladech s vysoko zdvižným vozíkem nebo ovládání robotů, kteří mapují prostředí a nechceme ho poškodit nárazem, je třeba asistenční systém pomáhající odhalit překážku. V této bakalářské práci byl navržen systém, který ze sekvence hloubkových obrazů získaných z kamery (Orbbec Astra) nalezne a zobrazí řidiči překážky před, respektive za vozidlem. Principem řešení problému, je prahování vstupního obrazu, nalezení překážky pomocí změn jasu v hloubkovém obrazu a nakonec zviditelnění překážky, které upozorní řidiče na možnou kolizi. Aplikace využívá knihovnu OpenCV, ze které byly použity některé funkce při detekování objektu. Během návrhu bylo snahou vytvořit systém, který by se dal použít v reálném čase a dalo se tak včas vyhnout překážkám, které stojí vozidlu v cestě.Due to the constant accidents caused in parking lots, on the roads, when moving the high-lift trucks in warehouse or controlling robot which maps surroundings and we don’t want to damage this robot, the parking assistance system helping the driver detect obstacles is necessary. In this thesis, we designed the system that finds and displays obstacles in front or behind the car to the driver from sequence of images from camera with depth image (Orbecc Astra). The principle of solving the problem is the thresholding of the input image, finding obstacles by changing the brightness in the depth image and, in the end, making obstacles more visible to warn driver about a possible collision. The application uses the OpenCV library from which we used some features to detect obstacles. Optimized tomography methods for plasma emissivity reconstruction at the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak

The soft X-ray (SXR) emission provides valuable insight into processes happening inside of high-temperature plasmas. A standard method for deriving the local emissivity profiles of the plasma from the line-of-sight integrals measured by pinhole cameras is the tomographic inversion. Such an inversion is challenging due to its ill-conditioned nature and because the reconstructed profiles depend not only on the quality of the measurements but also on the inversion algorithm used. This paper provides a detailed description of several tomography algorithms, which solve the inversion problem of Tikhonov regularization with linear computational complexity in the number of basis functions. The feasibility of combining these methods with the minimum Fisher information regularization is demonstrated, and various statistical methods for the optimal choice of the regularization parameter are investigated with emphasis on their reliability and robustness. Finally, the accuracy and the capability of the methods are demonstrated by reconstructions of experimental SXR profiles, featuring poloidal asymmetric impurity distributions as measured at the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak

Representation of journalists in videogames

Diplomová práce Obraz novináře ve videoherních titulech si klade za cíl zjistit, jakým způsobem jsou novináři zobrazováni v mainstreamových videoherních titulech. Analýza je provedena na základě pěti případových studií videoherních titulů, ale jsou do ní zapojeny poznatky i z jiných her zkoumaných sérií. Práce podrobně zkoumá devět videoherních žurnalistů, kteří spadají do různých kategorií: investigativní novináři, zpravodajští fotožurnalisté, paparazzi fotografové, rozhlasoví a televizní reportéři i moderátoři televizních pořadů. U jednotlivých postav je kromě jejich chování analyzován i jejich zevnějšek, neboť i ten je u utváření videoherních postav naprosto v rukou herních vývojářů. Analýza prokázala, že se vývojáři uchylují k využívání stereotypů, ale vždy k tomu přistupují ze zřejmých důvodů. Často se však stereotypům také vyhýbají a dokáží i věrně popsat žurnalistické praktiky a chování. Novinářská praxe je věrněji zobrazována v případě, že je novinář kladnou postavou a protagonistou dané videohry. Pokud je však padouchem a vedlejší postavou, je novinařina představena negativně, stereotypně a zkratkovitě.The Representation of Journalists in Videogames aims to find out how do videogame developers represent journalists in the mainstream videogames. The analysis is based on five case studies of various videogames but it also includes sequels and prequels of the selected games. The author of this thesis analyzes nine videogame journalists which can be differentiated into several categories: investigative reporters, photojournalists, paparazzis, radio and TV reporters and hosts of various television shows. Their behavior is not the only aspect this thesis analyzes because their visual appearance is also fully in the hands of the game developers. This thesis proves that the videogame journalists are sometimes depicted stereotypically but if so, it is always for a reason. Videogame developers do not always use this sort of depictions and can even accurately describe journalistic practice and behavior. Journalism is always better described if the journalist is a heroic protagonist of their videogame. Tool for parsing and analysing of web pages

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá parsováním textu z HTML stránek a jejich analýze a rozboru. Byly použity techniky z Natural Language Processingu, neboli Zpracování Přirozeného Jazyka. Byla napsána knihovna v programovacím jazyce Python, za použitím nejnovějších technologií, postupů a knihoven. Byl zpracován popis těchto knihoven a tříd, jejich použití a příklady. Aplikace dále byla otestována unit testy. Aplikace obsahuje GUI (Graphical User Interface) pro snadnější používání a demonstraci funkcionalit.This bachelor’s thesis is dealing with parsing of text in HTML pages and its analysis. Practices from Natural Language Processing were used. There were written libraries (or packages) in programming language Python, with use of modern practices, techniques and libraries. The usages and examples of these libraries and classes were made. All these libraries were tested using Unit tests. Application contains GUI (Graphical User Interface) for wasier usefulness and demonstration of functionality.

Preparation and use of mortars based on low-energy hydraulic binders

Diplomová práce se zabývá přípravou, použitím a vlastmi malt na bázi nízkoenergetických hydraulických pojiv. V teoretické části je uvedena charakterizace nízkoenergetických pojiv, jejich výroba a možnosti použití. Dále je popsán způsob návrhu hydraulického pojiva a postup prováděných zkoušek na odebraných vzorcích. Praktická část je zaměřena na aplikaci zkušebních metod zaměřených na ověření vlastností čerstvých a ztvrdlých malt připravených z různých druhů nízkoenergetických hydraulických pojiv. Testovaná pojiva jsou komerčními produkty, avšak pro srovnání bylo testováno i nově vyrobené nízkoteplotní hydraulické pojivo, které bylo vyrobeno z tuzemských surovin. Tyto použité suroviny jsou považovány v současnosti za odpad, který vzniká při těžbě vápence.The diploma thesis deals with the preparation, use and property of mortars based on low-energy hydraulic binders. The theoretical part describes the characterization of low-energy binders, their production and their use. Further described is a method of designing a hydraulic binder and procedure of tests performed on samples taken. The practical part is focused on the application of test methods aimed at verifying the properties of fresh and hardened mortars prepared from different types of low-energy hydraulic binders. Tested binders are commercial products, but for comparison were tested a newly built low-temperature hydraulic binder, which has been produced from domestic raw materials. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá přehledem používaných převodovek v dnešní konstrukci traktorů. Práce je zaměřená na převodovky čtveřice nejvíce prodávaných značek. Je zde jednoduchým a srozumitelným způsobem popsána činnost jednotlivých převodovek s konkrétním příkladem použití v jednotlivých třídách traktorů.This bachelors thesis is about gearboxes used in todays construction of tractors. This work is focused on four most sold brands of tractors. In a simple a comprehensive way function of each gearbox is described with concrete examples of use.

Screening of the physioterapeutic effect in patients after the robotically assisted radical prostatectomy

The main objective of this bachelor thesis was to find out whether the regular pelvic floor muscles exercise had a reducing effect on urinary incontinence and the use of incontinence pads at pacients after the robotically assistated radical prostatectomy who underwent the therapy in Rehaspring centre. Methods: We used the data provided from one rehabilitation facility to develop this research. Probands came at various time intervals after the operation for the therapy to one physiotherapist in the Rehaspring rehabilitation facility in Čelákovice. They completed the Rehaspring concept protocol, the ICIQ-SF questionnaire and we examined their pelvic floor muscles using the ultrasound at each therapy. We monitored the lift of pelvic floor muscles in the standing position. We obtained the number of incontinence pads by the phone call or by email. We observed the measured values in three periods. Totally 39 probands were included in this study, but only 22 men met the entry criteria and the numbers of incontinence pads were provided only by 12 men. The average age was 68.54±5.6 years. We used the analysis of variance, Mann-Whitney test and paired t-test for the statistical evaluation. The significance level for all tests was set up at an alpha level of 0.05 and the graphical elaboration was realized...Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, zdali pravidelné cvičení svalů pánevního dna mělo vliv na snížení inkontinence moči a počtů inkontinenčních vložek u pacientů po roboticky asistované radikální prostatektomii, kteří absolvovali terapii v Rehaspring centru. Metodika: K vypracování tohoto výzkumu jsme použili data, která nám byla poskytnuta z jednoho rehabilitačního zařízení. Probandi přicházeli v různých časových intervalech po operaci na terapie k jednomu fyzioterapeutovi do rehabilitačního zařízení Rehaspring do Čelákovic. Na každé terapii vyplnili protokol Rehaspring konceptu, ICIQ-SF dotazník a pomocí ultrazvuku jsme jim vyšetřili svaly pánevního dna a sledovali lift svalů pánevního dna vestoje. Počty inkontinenčních vložek jsme získali pomocí telefonního hovoru či přes email. Naměřené hodnoty jsme pozorovali ve třech obdobích. Do této studie bylo zařazeno 39 probandů, avšak vstupní kritéria splňovalo pouze 22 mužů a počty inkontinenčních vložek nám poskytlo jen 12 probandů. Průměrný věk byl 68,54±5,6 let. Ke statistickému vyhodnocení jsme použili analýzu rozptylu, Mann-Whitneyho test a párový t-test. Hladina významnosti u všech testů byla stanovena na α= 0,05 a grafické zpracování bylo realizováno pomocí statistického softwaru R. Vehicle Semi-active Damper Unit

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou semi-aktivního tlumení a jeho použitím u nákladních vozidel. První část této diplomové práce se zabývá rešerší existujících tlumících systémů, především u nákladních vozidel. Následně jsou porovnávány různé způsoby regulací tlumení. Po této analýze byly vytvořeny dvě verze přestavby sériového tlumiče na semi-aktivní. V závěru této práce jsou obě verze porovnány.This diploma thesis deals with the issue of semi-active damping and its use in trucks. The first part of this thesis deals with a research of existing damping systems, especially for trucks. Subsequently, different ways of damping control are compared. After this analysis, two versions of the conversion of the series dumper to semi-active were created. At the end of this work, both versions are compared.
