    This work was inspired by the social phenomenon of marine pollution on the coast of Padang City. Marine pollution is something that is very damaging to the environment, the waste generated by human activities on land and at sea greatly impacts sea animals and even humans themselves. The sea is a container for humans to produce a livelihood and even a source of food, if humans take products from the sea then humans must protect and protect the sea, the meaning must be balanced. The creators want to make it happen in the form of a dance work that focuses on marine pollution and the balance that occurs between humans and the sea. This work was displayed at the Boestanul Arifin Adam Auditorium with six female dancers. The makeup used is fantasy makeup, while the clothes worn by the dancers are white and blue clothes, white pants. The methods used for this work are research, work embodiment tools, studio work and performance concepts.     Dukungan suami sangat penting untuk keberhasilan pemberian ASI Eksklusif, karena suami dapat memberikan ketenangan jiwa dan kenyamanan ibu untuk menyusui bayinya sehingga dapat meningkatkan produksi ASI. ASI Eksklusif (menurut WHO) adalah pemberian ASI saja pada bayi sampai usia 6 bulan tanpa tambahan cairan ataupun makanan lain. ASI dapat diberikan sampai bayi berusia 2 tahun (Kristiyansari, 2009). ASI Eksklusif adalah pemberian hanya ASI saja tanpa makanan dan minuman lain. ASI Eksklusif dianjurkan sampai 6 bulan pertama kehidupan (Depkes RI, 2005). Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan melalui serangkaian tahap antara lain dengan penyuluhan atau edukasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan terhadap ibu nifas dan suami. Beberapa kegiatan yang akan dilakukan yaitu:Pemeriksaan tanda-tanda vital pada ibu nifas, Pemeriksaan gizi, kebersihan diri/ personal hygiene, Pendidikan kesehatan tentang ASI Eksklusif kepada suami, Pendidikan kesehatan tentang gizi dan kebersihan diri, Pemberian reward bagi para ibu nifas, Door prize usai kegiatan Penyuluhan dan Pemberian reward bagi para kader. Fungsi dan tujuan pemberian ASI Fungsi dari pemberian ASI adalah karena ASI mengandung banyak nutrisi yang paling sesuai bagi kebutuhan tubuh bayi, serta mudah diterima dan dicerna oleh sistem pencernaannya yang masih sangat rentan. Jika diberi makanan tambahan lain sebelum bayi berusia 6 bulan, maka pencernaan bayi belum mampu mencerna dengan baik makanan tersebut, bahkan risiko munculnya penyakit pencernaan akan lebih besar

    Analysis of the Relationship Between Nurses' Knowledge of Infusion Therapy with the Incidence of Phlebitis and Patient Comfort

    Phlebitis is a complication of infusion therapy. The aspect that affects the incidence of phlebitis and comfort is the nurse's skill of infusion therapy in inserting needles in the right location, right fluid, and right standard operating procedure. Nurses' skills in the infusion insertion were influenced mainly by knowledge. The research objective was to determine the relationship the nurse's knowledge of infusion therapy with the incidence of phlebitis and comfort. This type of research-correlational analytic with cross-sectional approach. The number of samples was 60 nurses who worked in inpatients ward and 60 patients who received infusion by a nurse. The results found that 51.7% of respondents had poor knowledge, the incidence of phlebitis was 46%.7, and as much as 48.3% of respondents felt comfortable with the insertion of an infusion done by the nurse. The results of further analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between knowledge of nurses about infusion therapy with incidence of phlebitis (p = 0.000), and there is a significant association between knowledge of the nurses and patients' comfort (p = 0.000). It was recommended for nurses to improve knowledge and skills so that the infusion complications and discomfort may be prevented

    Energi radiasi matahari merupakan energi yang sedang giat dikembangkan saat ini. Indonesia merupakan negara yang sangat berpotensi untuk mengembangkan sel surya dikarenakan letak posisi Indonesia berada di wilayah garis khatulistiwa (tropis).  Sel surya merupakan alat yang mampu merubah energi sinar matahari menjadi energi listrik. Teknologi sel surya yang telah dikembangkan saat ini adalah Dye Sensitized Solar Cell. Sel surya ini menggunakan bahan kaca Indium Tin Oxide, bahan dye adalah titanium dioxide, bahan cairan elektrolit yaitu perasan air lemon yang bersifat asam sitrat. Pengukuran dye sensitized solar cell dilakukan selama 30 menit sekali. Pengukuran dye sensitized solar cell menghasilkan tegangan terendah sebesar 195,6 mV pada waktu 11.30 WIB dan tegangan tertinggi sebesar 540,5 mV pada waktu 14.00 WIB dengan kondisi suhu 33 oC

    Teknik Menyusui yang benar adalah cara memberikan ASI kepada bayi dengan perlekatan dan posisi ibu dan bayi dengan benar. Cara menyusui sangat mempengaruhi kenyamanan bayi saat menghisap ASI. Bidan  / perawat perlu memberikan bimbingan pada ibu dalam minggu pertama setelah  persalinan  (nifas) tentang cara - cara menyusui yang benar (Mulyani, 2015). Teknik menyusui merupakan hal yang penting dalam memulai proses menyusui. Pada minggu pertama persalinan  ibu  mengalami fase dimana mengakibatkan ibu lebih sensitif, ibu memerlukan pendampingan dari tenaga kesehatan maupun orang yang terdekat disekitarnya agar dapat membantu ibu memulai proses menyusui dengan benar.     Antioxidant Activities of Ficus elastica Leaves Ethanol Extract and Its Compounds

    Background: The excessive free radicals condition called oxidative stress can harmful for the body. To prevent and cure it, the antioxidant agents are required. Nowadays, the natural product extracted from plants have been widely used in folk medicine as antioxidant for the treatment of many diseases. Ficus elastica (rubber tree) has some compounds that has several biological activities, i.e., quercitrin, myricitrin, morin, and eleutheroside B. The F. elastica works against the free radicals and can be potential as antioxidant agent. The purpose of this study was to evaluate antioxidant properties of F. elastica ethanolic extract (FEE), quercitrin, myricitrin, morin, and eleutheroside B.Materials and Methods: The antioxidant activities of FEE and standard compounds were evaluated by free radical-scavenging activity of 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil (DPPH), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), 2,2’-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline- 6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) activities using spectrophotometry method.Results: FEE has the lowest of DPPH scavenging activity (IC50=13.82 µg/mL) than other compounds. In ABTS scavenging activity, FEE has moderate activity with IC50 value 23.29 µg/mL. In FRAP activity, FEE has moderate activity with value 241.58 µM Fe(II)/µg, while in H2O2 scavenging activity, FEE also show moderate activity with IC50=83.97 µg/mL compared to other compounds.Conclusion: In summary, FEE and the pure compounds (quercitrin, myricitrin, morin, and eleutheroside B) have potential as antioxidant agent.Keywords: free radical, morin, myricitrin, quercitrin, rubber tree, scavenging activitie

    Potentials of rose (Rosa damascena) petals and receptacles extract as antioxidant and antihyaluronidase

    Free radicals affect aging by unspecific lead breakdown to macromolecules, like DNA, lipids, and proteins. The degradation of the extracellular matrix affects skin aging and correlated with the hyaluronidase enzyme. Rose (Rosa damascena) petal extract and rose receptacle extract can scavenge free radicals, thus hindering the aging process. This study examines phenolic and flavonoid content, the antioxidant, anti-hyaluronidase potential owned by rose petal extract (RPE), and rose receptacle extract (RRE) inhibiting skin aging. In this study, Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) scavenging activity assay was done to analyze the antioxidant activity while the hyaluronidase inhibitory assay analyzed antiaging activity. The characteristic of RPE and RRE were measured the phenolics and flavonoids content. The phenolics content of  RPE and RRE were 9.66 μg GAE/mg RPE and  4.31  μg GAE/mg RRE, respectively, while the flavonoids content of  RPE and RRE respectively 1.22 μg QE/mg RPE and 0.59 μg QE/mg RRE. The median inhibitory (IC50) of H2O2 scavenging of RPE (207.99 µg/mL) was more active than RRE (348.24 µg/mL). RPE's anti-hyaluronidase (IC50: 51.68 µg/mL) is as effective as RRE (IC50: 51.98 µg/mL). Antioxidant and antiaging activities possessed by RPE and RRE are promising natural agents for aging therapy

    Objective: Inflammation can be induced by microbiological, chemical, physical factors and plays roles in inflammatory diseases. Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) has been widely used to provide a diverse array of biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, also antioxidant. The Turmeric extract (TE) anti-inflammatory potential was conducted using a Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW264.7 macrophage cell line by inhibiting inflammatory mediators especially IL-6, PGE-2, IL-1β, COX-2, TNF-α, iNOS, also NO level. Methods: The TE safe concentration in LPS-induced macrophage cell line was measured using MTS assay for further assay. The inflammatory markers (IL-6, PGE-2, COX-2, IL-1β, TNF-α, iNOS, NO) were measured using ELISA assay and NO by the nitrate/nitrite colorimetric assay in LPS-induced RAW264.7 cell line. LPS induced inflammatory marker by increasing inflammatory marker (IL-6, PGE-2, COX-2, IL-1β, TNF-α, iNOS, NO). Results: TE with 100 to 25 µg/ml, caused a significant reduction of cells viability, reaching only 30.27 % live cells. TE with lower concentrations (7.5; 5; 2.5 µg/ml) had no cytotoxic effect on macrophage cells (viability 117.31-131.08 %). LPS induction caused an increase in inflammatory cytokines IL-1β, PGE-2, IL-6, COX-2, TNF-α as well as iNOS and NO. Turmeric extract caused the reduction of the inflammatory cytokines in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusion: The research resulted that TE has anti-inflammatory activity by decreasing IL-6, PGE-2, COX-2, IL-1β, TNF-α, iNOS, and NO level on LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells

    Preeclampsia is a pregnancy complication characterized by proteinuria, hypertension, hypoxia as well an increased systemic inflammatory response. It affects 5 to 10% of all births and is a leading factor in fetal and maternal morbidity and death. Ficus elastica L. leaves are known to have natural compounds with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. This research assessed the potential of F. elastica leaf extract (FEE) as anti-inflammatory agent in a hypoxic-induced human endothelial cell line (EA.hy926) as preeclampsia model. F. elastica leaves were extracted using 70% ethanol. Cytotoxic assay of the FEE in different concentrations (3.13 to 100 µg/ml) against EA.hy926 was done using MTS assay. The FEE’s anti-inflammatory activity was measured with ELISA for the TNF-α and IL-10 parameters. The FEE did not cause cytotoxicity to the EA.hy926 cells, with viability above 80% at the highest concentration. The FEE could decrease the pro-inflammatory TNF-α level and increase the IL-10 level as anti-inflammatory markers in the preeclampsia model at significance level p < 0.05. This study suggests that FEE is a safe alternative herbal medicine for preeclampsia treatment
