Rozpoznawalność kryptowalut w świetle badań empirycznych

The growing interest in cryptocurrencies has become a springboard for debate between their proponents and opponents. The aim of this paper was to compare the recognition of international currencies to that of the digital cryptocurrencies in operation globally. It also presented the author’s fidings related to the recognition of cryptocurrencies among the respondents. The study begins by emphasising the leading role of bitcoin among the currently used cryptocurrencies, and then highlights the areas of contact of the respondents as well as their knowledge about cryptocurrencies. The results demonstrate that while the recognition of cryptocurrencies (both spontaneous and supported) is lower than the recognition of international currencies, bitcoin is the most recognized cryptocurrency.Wzmożone zainteresowanie kryptowalutami stało się bodźcem do podjęcia dyskusji pomiędzy ich zwolennikami i oponentami. Celem artykułu było porównanie rozpoznawalności funkcjonujących na świecie walut międzynarodowych i cyfrowych kryptowalut oraz przedstawienie wyników badań własnych autora, dotyczących rozpoznawalności kryptowalut wśród respondentów. Opracowanie rozpoczęto od podkreślenia wiodącej roli bitcoina wśród obecnie wykorzystywanych kryptowalut, następnie przedstawiono miejsca styku respondentów oraz ich wiedzę na temat kryptowalut. Z wyników przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że rozpoznawalność kryptowalut (zarówno spontaniczna, jak i wspomagana) jest mniejsza niż rozpoznawalność walut międzynarodowych, a bitcoin jest najbardziej znaną kryptowalutą

Using virtual reality technologies in the real estate sector

Modern virtual reality (VR) technology has a growing impact on further areas of the new digital economy. This is possible due to the declining prices of electronic components, the rapid implementation of new technologies in the market of goods and services and the increasing availability of advanced devices that use the emerging new technology. The purpose of this article is to present the potential of using VR technology in the real estate market. The article identifies solutions that are already successfully operating in the market as well as examples of possibilities for the future use of this technology. The main advantage of using VR in the real estate market is innovation and a multi-sensory form of presenting offers. The presented results of the studies concern the potential of VR technology (the impression that the technology exerts on users, ease of use, functionality of the equipment, the reality of the evoked feelings, possible areas of application). Estudo sobre Produção de Biogás a partir dos Dejetos de um Módulo fe Aquaponia e Automação do Biodogestor

Tese apresentada ao Programa de Pós-Graduação Interdisciplinar em Energia e Sustentabilidade da Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana, como requisito parcial à obtenção do título de Doutor em Energia e Sustentabilidade.No Instituto Federal do Paraná, campus Foz do Iguaçu, os cursos de Desenvolvimento de Sistemas e Aquicultura trabalham no projeto de automação da aquaponia, um sistema de cultivo de plantas integrado com a criação de peixes, com objetivo de reduzir a complexidade de gestão utilizando um sistema que permita acesso a informações úteis à tomada de decisão. A estrutura existente conta com um módulo de aquaponia com capacidade para 50 a 80 peixes tilápia e com produção de 40 pés de alface. O descarte dos dejetos provenientes da piscicultura é considerado fonte de poluição do ambiente. Dessa maneira, a geração de biogás a partir dos dejetos da produção de peixe, é uma alternativa sustentável à produção, bem como ecológica. Com a automação espera-se facilitar o acompanhamento da produção de biogás observando os valores referentes a temperatura, pressão e pH obtidos a partir de sensores instalados no biodigestor. Além da produção de biogás, este projeto visa colaborar com a preservação do meio ambiente e com o processo sustentável de produção de peixes e hortaliças, além de se tornar uma maneira ecológica para produção de energia. Além do descarte ecologicamente correto, um dos objetivos específicos deste projeto é de avaliar a possibilidade de autossustentação do sistema. Para esta avaliação foi necessário estimar a produção de biogás e calcular a demanda energética do sistema. A partir de análise dos resíduos, foi estimada uma produção de cerca de 0,08 a 0,09 Nm3 de biogás por dia e a demanda energética do sistema composta por bomba d’água e modulo de automação é de 8,8kWh

Efetividade de um treinamento de escolares no controle do aedes aegypti baseado em um sistema web gamificado / Effectiveness of a students’ training in the control of aedes aegypti based on a gamified web system

Por ser o vetor da dengue, o combate ao mosquito Aedes aegypti tem sido uma emergência global, ademais também envolve o adoecimento por Zica e Chikungunya. Entre as estratégias de controle dessas doenças destacam-se as tentativas de interrupção do ciclo de vida do mosquito. Este estudo objetivou testar a efetividade de uma mobilização de escolares do ensino fundamental, por meio de um treinamento baseado em um sistema web gamificado como estratégia de apoio ao controle do mosquito Aedes aegypti. Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico do tipo intervenção. Os escolares receberam treinamento na escola a partir uma lista de checagem gamificada com ações para eliminação dos criadouros. Após o treinamento, os escolares foram convidados a realizar a limpeza do quintal de seus domicílios. Um dia antes e um dia após a realização das ações web gamificadas pelos escolares nos quintais de suas casas, as equipes do Centro de Controle de Zoonoses realizaram inquérito de campo para promover a comparação antes e depois da intervenção. Para análise foram utilizados testes de associação de variáveis e os resultados apresentados em frequências absolutas e relativas. Dos 125 participantes 47,2% eram crianças do sexo masculino, sendo a maioria de brasileiros (97,6%; p <0,0001), 22,4% matriculados no 3º ano do Ensino Fundamental, 56% moravam com pai e mãe. A renda familiar de 75% das famílias dos escolares variou entre 1 e 3 salários-mínimos. Destaca-se que em 5,6% dos domicílios havia algum tipo de criadouro antes da intervenção e 3,2% (p=0,355) continuaram com criadouros após a intervenção. Concluiu-se que o estudo relevou a importância da gamificação como potencial estratégia tecnológica para a motivação e engajamento da população para o controle de criadouros do Aedes aegypti e aspectos metodológicos para a condução de estudos de intervenção a partir de aglomerados domiciliares

Puppen in Bedrohungsszenarien – so lautet der Themenschwerpunkt der ersten Ausgabe der interdisziplinären online-Zeitschrift "denkste: puppe / just a bit of: doll" zu Mensch-Puppen-Diskursen (Akronym: de:do). Die Bezeichnung ‚Puppe’ steht dabei für anthropomorphe ,Wesen’ und Artefakte in all ihren unterschiedlichen Erscheinungsformen und der Begriff der Bedrohung wird hier weit gefasst. Ausgangspunkt der Entscheidung für diesen Fokus war die Annahme, dass Puppen und puppenaffinen Artefakten sowohl in Zeiten existenzieller Bedrohung als auch in Phasen innerpsychischer Beunruhigung und Irritation eine besondere Bedeutung zukommt. Die hier einbezogenen Beiträge stammen aus unterschiedlichen Fachdisziplinen und eröffnen in der bewusst nicht disziplinär ausgerichteten Zusammenstellung reizvolle multiperspektivische Mensch-Puppen-Diskurse. Dabei sind nicht nur die hier angesprochenen Themenbezüge, sondern auch die jeweiligen methodischen Zugänge ausgesprochen heterogen. So werden Puppen-Narrative aufgegriffen, die beispielsweise innerhalb der Literaturwissenschaft an die lange Tradition von Puppen-Erzählungen anknüpfen, aber auch solche, die aktuell in den Diskursen über Zukunftsszenarien und neue Technologien mittels verschiedener medialer Formate und/oder künstlerischer Aktionen für Diskussionsstoff sorgen. Ein erster thematischer Fokus liegt auf der Bedeutung von Puppen im Zuge der Erfahrung von Bedrohung und Verlusten im Kontext von Krieg, Flucht und Verfolgung in politisch unsicheren Zeiten. Hier werden aus verschiedenen fachdisziplinären Perspektiven unterschiedliche Facetten von Bedrohungsszenarien angesprochen. So geht es aus theaterwissenschaftlicher Sicht um zwei Inszenierungen aus dem Bereich des Objekt- und Materialtheaters, in denen bedrohliche Kriegsdarstellungen mittels Plastikpuppen bzw. amorphen Materials aufbereitet werden. Aus psychologischer Perspektive kommen Rollen und Funktionen von Puppen als Übergangsobjekte im Kontext von Umbrüchen, Krieg und Gewalt zur Sprache. In zwei literaturwissenschaftlichen Beiträgen wird jeweils ein Roman aus der Kinder- und Jugendliteratur analysiert, in denen in einem Fall eine Puppe zur psychischen Stabilisierung der literarischen Protagonistin beiträgt und im anderen Fall das Schicksal der Puppe die Geschichte von Abschied und letztendlicher Vernichtung ihrer Besitzerin erzählt und symbolisiert. Und schließlich geht es um den Stellenwert von Puppen und Teddys in verschiedenen Kinderzeitschriften, die – in den politisch unsicheren Zeiten zwischen und nach den beiden Weltkriegen – Identifikationsfiguren und Interaktionspartner für Kinder sein können. Ein zweiter Fokus thematisiert Puppen und ihre Narrative im Kontext verschiedener aversiver Erfahrungen sowie in Zeiten psychischer Irritation. So geht es zum einen um die literaturwissenschaftliche Sicht auf die Bedeutung und Wirkung von Puppen in zwei ‚klassischen’ Puppenerzählungen: „"Nussknacker und Mausekönig" von E.T.A. Hoffmann und "Romeo und Julia auf dem Dorfe" von Gottfried Keller. Zum anderen werden in verschiedenen Beiträgen Entgrenzungs-, Transformations- und Identitätsfragen in Mensch-Puppen-Bezügen aus medien- und kunstwissenschaftlicher sowie kinderliterarischer Perspektive angesprochen, in denen Puppen in Gestalt von Androiden, Kunstwesen oder anthropomorphen Figuren agieren und dabei selber Irritationen auslösen oder Versuche darstellen, Antworten auf beunruhigende Fragen zu finden. Über den Themenschwerpunkt hinaus finden sich zudem eine Reihe weiterer Beitragsformen zu verschiedenen puppenbezogenen Themen und Praxen, die noch einmal das breite Spektrum unterschiedlicher Puppen-Narrative und Zugangsformen dokumentieren: So beschäftigt sich ein freier Beitrag mit dem Puppenspiel als strukturiertes Therapieangebot für Kinder, bei den Miszellen findet sich eine Skizze zu Marlene Dietrich und ihren Puppen sowie ein kurzer Essay zu einer biographischen Erinnerung, ein Interview mit der Begründerin des Berliner Puppentheaters bubales veranschaulicht Möglichkeiten der dramatischen und poetischen Umsetzung von Puppen-Themen, im Diskussionsforum wird ein kritischer Blick auf "Barbie als Diskursmaschine" geworfen und eine Rezension zum Ausstellungskatalog "From Her Wooden Sleep von Ydessa Hendels" lotet Chancen und Grenzen der künstlerischen Arbeit mit Puppen-Artefakten aus.Dolls / Puppets in Threat Scenarios – this is the topic focus of the first issue of the interdisciplinary online magazine "denkste: puppe / just a bit of: doll" on human-doll discourses (acronym: de: do). The term ’doll’ stands for anthropomorphic ’beings’ and artifacts of all kinds and the concept of threat is broadly defined. This focus was stimulated by the assumption that dolls and doll-related artifacts are of particular importance in times of existential threat as well as in phases of inner psychic anxiety and irritation. Yet, the basically ambiguous character of the doll does not necessarily determine a clear effect, so that its usability always involves a certain blurriness and ambivalence. In threatening and adverse situations dolls can act as companions and significant (transitional) objects, thus allowing psychic stabilization, security, and attachment as well as enabling (inner) autonomy, agency, and developmental processes. But dolls can also be a crucial component of threat scenarios themselves and act frightening in this function. All this applies not only to material and real existing dolls and puppets, but also to dolls as literary and / or media figures as well as to doll narratives of any kind. The articles included here come from different disciplines and open up an appealing and deliberately non-disciplinary oriented human-doll discourse from multiple perspectives. Accordingly, the relevant themes as well as the respective methodological approaches are highly heterogeneous. Thus, some contributions follow the long tradition of doll narratives in literature while others discuss currrent topics and discourses on future scenarios and new technologies by means of various doll-related media formats and / or art performances. A first thematic focus is on the significance of dolls in experiencing threats and losses in the context of war, flight and persecution in times of political uncertainty. Here, different facets of threat scenarios are addressed from different disciplinary perspectives. From the field of object and material theater two productions are introduced in which menacing war scenes are processed by means of plastic dolls or amorphous material. From a psychological perspective, dolls are discussed in their roles and functions as transitional objects within the context of upheaval, war and violence. Furthermore, two literary contributions analyze novels from children’s and youth literature. One story deals with a doll which contributes to the psychological stabilization of the literary protagonist. The other story tells of a girl and her doll which symbolizes the final farewell and eventual annihilation of the (Jewish) girl. Finally, the role of dolls and teddy bears in various children’s magazines is exemplified, which serve as identification figures and interaction partners for children in the politically unstable times between and after the two World Wars. A second focus deals with dolls and their narratives in the context of various aversive experiences as well as in times of psychological irritation. Two contributions analyze the meaning and effect of dolls in two ’classical’ doll narratives from a literary perspective: "Nussknacker und Mausekönig" by E.T.A. Hoffmann and "Romeo und Julia auf dem Dorfe" by Gottfried Keller. Further contributions address questions of ego dissolution, transformation and identity processes in human-doll relations from various perspectives such as media, art and children’s literature. Here, dolls appear as androids, artistic or anthropomorphic figures which cause irritation themselves or attempt to find answers to disturbing human-doll questions. In addition to the main topic, there are also a number of other sections and types of contributions on various doll-related topics and practices which once again document the wide range of doll narratives and possible forms of access: For example, a free contribution deals with doll play as a structured therapy for children, the miscellaneous section includes a portrait of Marlene Dietrich and her dolls as well as a short essay on a biographical reminiscence, an interview with the founder of the Berlin Puppet Theater bubales illustrates the possibilities of dramatic and poetic realization of puppet and doll narratives, a critical view on "Barbie as a discourse machine" is presented in the discussion forum and a review of the exhibition catalog "From Her Wooden Sleep by Ydessa Hendels" explores opportunities and limits of artistic work with doll artifacts

Aus urheberrechtlichen Gründen gegenüber der Printausgabe modifizierte Version (betr. S. 207–232: Abbildungen 2, 7, 8, 16, 19)Das Kurt Weill Fest Dessau ist längst kein Start-up mehr. 1993 gegründet, lockt es jährlich Tausende von BesucherInnen in die Geburtsstadt des Komponisten. Will man den Markenkern der Veranstaltung beschreiben, so könnte man auf die Fähigkeit der Akteure verweisen, mentale Brücken zu bauen. Dergleichen zeigt sich schon an der Programmauswahl. Natürlich, die Musik Weills steht im Mittelpunkt. Aber die „Programmierer“ waren und sind stets offen für eine bunte Palette von Stilen und Genres. Brücken bauen will das Fest fernerhin zwischen der klassischen Moderne und dem heutigen Geschehen, schließlich darf sich Dessau nicht nur Weill-, sondern auch Bauhaus-Stadt nennen. Albert Weill, der Vater des Komponisten, wirkte als Kantor der 1938 zerstörten Synagoge von Dessau. Es gehört demnach zu einem zentralen Anliegen der Festivalmacher, Brücken zu den jüdischen Gemeinden in Dessau wie Umgebung zu schlagen. Zeichen dafür ist der Bau einer Albert-Weill-Synagoge auf dem Platz ihrer verwüsteten Vorgängerin. Nicht zuletzt aber ist der Brückenschlag zwischen Kunst und Wissenschaft zu erwähnen, dem sich das Weill Fest besonders verpflichtet fühlt. Dazu zählt die Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses, die etwa im Rahmen der Reihe Entdeckungen stattfand, eines Großprojekts, dem sich der vorliegende Band widmet. Wie nachhaltig dessen Konzept ist, zeigt so manche Karriere: Viele der jungen Wissenschaftler*innen, die sich bei den Entdeckungen erste Lorbeeren verdienten, lehren heute an Universitäten oder Hochschulen

Dolls/puppets as soulmates – biographical traces of dolls/puppets in art, literature, work and performance

Es geht um die Frage nach Wirkungen früher Puppenerfahrungen in der späteren künstlerischen Arbeit und damit nach den möglichen (biographischen) Wurzeln und Zusammenhängen von Puppenmotiv und Puppen-Narrativen im künstlerisch-literarischen Werk. Puppenbezüge in Werk- und Schaffensprozessen können frühe Erfahrungen biographischer Brüche und Verletzungen transformieren bzw. sie künstlerisch produktiv integrieren, sie können aber auch Ausdruck für Kontinuität und Intensivierung früher Prägungen und Vorlieben sein. In den vorliegenden Beiträgen geht es um puppenbezogene künstlerische Ausdrucksformen, die als Beiträge hier formal unterschiedlich aufbereitet werden: als wissenschaftsbasierter Text, Selbstbericht, Miszelle, Rezension, Interview und: Kunstwerk. Untersucht und thematisiert werden Puppen-Sammlungen, die Herstellung besonderer Puppen, literarische Puppentexte, Inszenierungen und Bilder. Außerdem wurden weitere Beiträge einbezogen, die Puppen als Varianten „künstlicher Menschen“ in unterschiedlichsten Themenbezügen behandeln. In vielen Beiträgen deutet sich an, dass die Affinität zum „Phänomen Puppe“ in seinen verschiedenen künstlerischen Umsetzungsformen auf biographisch geprägte Spuren verweist: als Ausdrucks- und Darstellungsmittel steht die Puppe somit auch für etwas Besonderes der Menschen, die sich künstlerisch auf sie beziehen und mit ihr interagieren und „spielen“.This fourth issue of denkste: puppe / just a bit of: doll (de:do), a multidisciplinary online journal for human-doll discourses, takes up the thematic focus on dolls/puppets as soulmates – biographical traces of dolls/puppets in art, literature, work and performance. It is about the impact of early doll experiences in later artistic work and thus about the possible (biographical) roots and connections of doll motifs and doll narratives in artistic-literary work. Doll/puppet references in work and creative processes can transform early experiences of biographical breaks and harm or integrate them in an artistically productive way, but they can also be an expression of continuity and intensification of early experience and preferences. The present contributions deal with doll/puppet-related artistic forms of expression, which are formally presented in different ways: as science-based text, self-report, miscellaneous, review, interview and: work of art. Doll/puppet collections, the making of particular puppets, literary puppet texts, performances and images are examined and addressed. In addition, further contributions were included, which deal with dolls as variants of "artificial humans" in the most diverse thematic contexts. Most of the contributions indicate that the affinity to the “phenomenon of the doll” in its various artistic forms of realization refers to biographically shaped traces: as a means of expression and representation the doll thus also stands for something special about the human beings who refer to it artistically and interact and "play" with it

Grsf1-induced translation of the SNARE protein use1 is required for expansion of the erythroid compartment

Induction of cell proliferation requires a concomitant increase in the synthesis of glycosylated lipids and membrane proteins, which is dependent on ER-Golgi protein transport by CopII-coated vesicles. In this process, retrograde transport of ER resident proteins from the Golgi is crucial to maintain ER integrity, and allows for anterograde transport to continue. We previously showed that expression of the CopI specific SNARE protein Use1 (Unusual SNARE in the ER 1) is tightly regulated by eIF4E-dependent translation initiation of Use1 mRNA. Here we investigate the mechanism that controls Use1 mRNA translation. The 5'UTR of mouse Use1 contains a 156 nt alternatively spliced intron. The non-spliced form is the predominantly translated mRNA. The alternatively spliced sequence contains G-repeats that bind the RNA-binding protein G-rich sequence binding factor 1 (Grsf1) in RNA band shift assays. The presence of these G-repeats rendered translation of reporter constructs dependent on the Grsf1 concentration. Down regulation of either Grsf1 or Use1 abrogated expansion of erythroblasts. The 5'UTR of human Use1 lacks the splice donor site, but contains an additional upstream open reading frame in close proximity of the translation start site. Similar to mouse Use1, also the human 5'UTR contains G-repeats in front of the start codon. In conclusion, Grsf1 controls translation of the SNARE protein Use1, possibly by positioning the 40S ribosomal subunit and associated translation factors in front of the translation start site

Einmal mehr erweisen sich Puppen als Miniaturen und im Kontext miniaturisierter Welten als hybride Objekte, aufgeladen mit vielerlei Symbolik und Bedeutungsüberschuss. Die Zusammenschau der höchst unterschiedlichen Beiträge im vorliegenden Heft vermittelt eine Ahnung von möglichen Spannungsverhältnissen – zwischen ’klein’ und ’groß’, ’Sichtbarem’ und ’Verstecktem’, ’Realität’ und ’Fiktion’, ’Mimesis’ und ’Poetik’. As ’small formats’, they generate images and narratives of their own kind which are open in function and effect: they oscillate between representation, condensation and transformation of reality, expressing longings and/or control needs of their creators and triggering enchantment, amazement or alienation while enabling a holistic access to the world and insight into inner contexts. Arguing in this line, dolls/puppets prove to be miniatures and – in the context of miniaturized worlds –hybrid objects, charged with all sorts of symbolism and excess of meaning. The synopsis of the highly diverse contributions in this issue gives us an idea of possible tensions – between ’small’ and ’large’, ’visible’ and ’hidden’, ’reality’ and ’fiction’, ’mimesis’ and ’poetics’. The heterogeneous range of topics underlines the subtle significance of the doll/puppet as a special trademark of the ’small form’ in many disciplines.
