    Eksplorasi Pengalaman Stress Pada Individu Yang Berperilaku Bruksisme (Studi Kualitatif Dengan Pendekatan Fenomenologis)

    Penelitian ini bermaksud mengeksplorasi pengalaman stres dari seorang yang berperilaku bruksisme melalui sudut pandang pengalaman stres yang dialami masing-masing subjek. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara semi terstruktur. Subjek penelitian berjumlah tiga orang yang merupakan seorang dengan kebiasaan berperilaku bruksisme saat tidur (sleep bruxism). Peneliti menggunakan teknik purposive yaitu teknik pemilihan subjek dengan menetapkan kriteria tertentu kriteria tertentu yang harus dipenuhi oleh individu yang akan dijadikan subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa pengalaman stres masing-masing subjek dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal yang mengakibatkan bermacam dampak. Ketiga subjek memunculkan reaksi berupa coping, yaitu katarsis, emotion-focused coping dan problem-focused coping. Pengalaman stres masing-masing subjek juga dipengaruhi oleh self concept dan lingkungan sosial dari masing-masing individu

    Kriteria Zona Industri Pendukung Pengembangan Kawasan Agropolitan di Kabupaten Tuban

    Kabupaten Tuban merupakan kabupaten yang memiliki potensi sektor pertanian yang cukup besar, dengan kontribusi sebesar 24,6% dalam PDRB. Dalam RTRW Kabupaten Tuban terdapat arahan pengembangan kegiatan pengolahan hasil pertanian, serta terdapat arahan pengembangan KSK Agropolitan di lima kecamatan yaitu Kecamatan Palang, Kecamatan Semanding, Kecamatan Plumpang, Kecamatan Widang dan Kecamatan Jatirogo. Agroindustri merupakan salah satu kegiatan dalam sistem agribisnis yang dikembangkan dalam kawasan agropolitan, sehingga dalam kawasan agropolitan tersebut diharapkan terdapat zona untuk kegiatan agroindustri. Karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kriteria zona industri dalam mendukung pengembangan kawasan agropolitan di Kabupaten Tuban. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam menyusun kriteria zona industri tersebut adalah analisis deskriptif menggunakan pedoman dan standar, literatur, maupun studi kasus yang relevan. Hasil akhir penelitian ini didapatkan delapan kriteria zona industri pendukung pengembangan kawasan agropolitan di Kabupaten Tuban yang divisualisasikan menggunakan software ArcGIS 10.2, yaitu kriteria kondisi fisik dasar, kriteria bahan baku, kriteria pasar, kriteria tenaga kerja, kriteria aksesibilitas (yang terdiri dari sub kriteria jaringan jalan dan jarak ke pusat kabupaten), kriteria sarana dan prasarana (yang terdiri dari sub kriteria ketersediaan jaringan listrik, jaringan air bersih, jaringan telekomunikasi, ketersediaan fasilitas perekonomian, dan ketersediaan rumah potong hewan), kriteria aglomerasi, serta kriteria penggunaan lahan

    TGRS Observations of Positron Annihilation in Classical Novae

    The TGRS experiment on board the Wind spacecraft has many advantages as a sky monitor --- broad field of view (~2 pi) centered on the south ecliptic pole), long life (1994-present), and stable low background and continuous coverage due to Wind's high altitude high eccentricity orbit. The Ge detector has sufficient energy resolution (3-4 keV at 511 keV) to resolve a cosmic positron annihilation line from the strong background annihilation line from beta-decays induced by cosmic ray impacts on the instrument, if the cosmic line is Doppler-shifted by this amount. Such lines (blueshifted) are predicted from nucleosynthesis in classical novae. We have searched the entire TGRS database for 1995-1997 for this line, with negative results. In principle such a search could yield an unbiased upper limit on the highly-uncertain Galactic nova rate. We carefully examined the times around the known nova events during this period, also with negative results. The upper limit on the nova line flux in a 6-hr interval is typically <3.8 E-3 photon/(cm2 s) at 4.6 sigma. We performed the same analysis for times around the outburst of Nova Vel 1999, obtaining a worse limit due to recent degradation of the detector response caused by cosmic ray induced damage.Comment: 5 pp. inc. 3 figs.     Epipelagic mesozooplankton distribution and abundance over the Mascarene Plateau and Basin, south-western Indian Ocean

    The crescent shaped Mascarene Plateau (southwestern Indian Ocean), some 2200 km in length, forms a partial barrier to the (predominantly westward) flow of the South Equatorial Current. Shallow areas of the Mascarene Plateau effectively form a large shelf sea without an associated coastline. Zooplankton sampling transects were made across the plateau and also the basin to the west, to investigate the role the partial interruption of flow has on zooplankton biomass and community structure over the region. Biomass data from Optical Plankton Counter (OPC) analysis, and variability in community structure from taxonomic analysis, appear to indicate that the obstruction by the plateau causes upwelling, nutrient enrichment and enhanced chlorophyll and secondary production levels downstream. The Mascarene Basin is clearly distinguishable from the ridge itself, and from the waters to the south and north, both in terms of size-distributed zooplankton biomass and community structure. Satellite remote sensing data, particularly remotely-sensed ocean colour imagery and the sea surface height anomaly (SSHA), indicate support for this hypothesis. A correlation was found between OPC biovolume and SSHA and sea surface temperature (SST), which may indicate the physical processes driving mesozooplankton variability in this area. Biomass values away from the influence of the ridge averaged 24 mg m-3, but downstream if the ridge biomass averaged 263 mg m-3. Copepods comprised 60% of the mean total organisms. Calanoid copepods varied considerably between regions, being lowest away from the influence of the plateau, where higher numbers of the cyclopoid copepods Oithona spp., Corycaeus spp. and Oncaea spp., and the harpacticoid Microsetella spp. were found

    Toxicological evaluation of Thymelaea hirsuta and protective effect against CCl4-induced hepatic injury in rats

    The aerial part of Thymelaea hirsuta (TH) is used as decoction in the treatment of different pathologies in folk medicine in Morocco. The present investigation was carried out to evaluate the potential of toxicity of an aqueous extract of TH and its hepatoprotective activity against CCl4-induced hepatic injury in rats. In the acute study, there were no signs of toxicity observed after oral administration of single dose of the extract (5g/kg body weight). In the sub-chronic dose study, (given by gavages (4 ml/kg) to Wistar rats daily at: 0.0 g/kg, 0.5g/kg, 1 g/kg or 2 g/kg body weight for 4 weeks) no variation on biochemical parameters; serum glucose, creatinine and urea levels was observed compared to the control group. However, the serum levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALAT) and aspartate aminotransferase (ASAT) were markedly decreased (P &lt; 0.05 and P&lt;0.001 respectively) as compared to the controls. There were no significant differences in red blood cells count (p&lt;0.05), in Hemoglobin and Hematocrit serum levels but a significant increase in white blood cells count (p&lt;0.001) and in platelets (p&lt; 0.05) for all doses tested. Histopathological examination of the liver, spleen and kidneys tissues at the end of the study showed normal architecture. The elevated serum enzymatic activities of ALAT and ASAT, due to carbon tetrachloride treatment (1 ml/kg CCl4 every 72 h during 15 days) were restored towards normalization by the plant extracts. The biochemical observations were supplemented with histopathological examination of liver sections.     Interference alignment testbeds

    Interference alignment has triggered high impact research in wireless communications since it was proposed nearly 10 years ago. However, the vast majority of research is centered on the theory of interference alignment and is hardly feasible in view of the existing state-of-the-art wireless technologies. Although several research groups have assessed the feasibility of interference alignment via testbed measurements in realistic environments, the experimental evaluation of interference alignment is still in its infancy since most of the experiments were limited to simpler scenarios and configurations. This article summarizes the practical limitations of experimentally evaluating interference alignment, provides an overview of the available interference alignment testbed implementations, including the costs, and highlights the imperatives for succeeding interference alignment testbed implementations.     Laue diffraction lenses for astrophysics: From theory to experiments

    Based on the laws of X-ray diffraction in crystals, Laue lenses offer a promising way to achieve the sensitivity and angular resolution leap required for the next generation of hard X-ray and gamma-ray telescopes. The present paper describes the instrumental responses of Laue diffraction lenses designed for nuclear astrophysics. Different possible geometries are discussed, as well as the corresponding spectral and imaging capabilities. These theoretical predictions are then compared with Monte-Carlo simulations and experimental results (ground and stratospheric observations from the CLAIRE project)

    Transient Gamma Ray Spectrometer Measurements of Gamma-Ray Lines from Novae. I. Limits on the Positron Annihilation Line in Five Individual Novae

    The Transient Gamma Ray Spectrometer (TGRS) on board the WIND spacecraft has spent most of the interval 1995-1997 in a high-altitude orbit where gamma-ray backgrounds are low. Its high-resolution Ge spectrometer is thus able to detect weak lines which are slightly offset from stronger background features. One such line is predicted from nucleosynthesis in classical novae, where beta-decays on a time-scale of a few hours in an expanding envelope produce positrons that annihilate to generate a line which is blueshifted by a few keV away from the background annihilation line at 511 keV. The broad TGRS field of view contained five known Galactic novae during 1995 January - 1997 June, and we have searched the spectra taken around the times of these events for the blueshifted nova annihilation line. Although no definite detections were made, the method is shown to be sensitive enough to detect novae occurring on ONeMg-rich white dwarfs out to about 2.5 kpc.Comment: 27 pp. + 10 figs., or offprint mailed by request to [email protected]

    Cost-effectiveness analysis of umeclidinium bromide/vilanterol 62.5/25 mcg versus tiotropium/olodaterol 5/5 mcg in symptomatic patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: A Spanish National Healthcare System perspective

    Background: A head-to-head study demonstrated the superiority of once-daily umeclidinium bromide/vilanterol (UMEC/VI) 62.5/25 mcg on trough forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1) versus once-daily tiotropium/olodaterol (TIO/OLO) 5/5 mcg in symptomatic patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This analysis evaluated the cost effectiveness of UMEC/VI versus TIO/OLO from a Spanish National Healthcare System perspective, using data from this study and Spanish literature. Methods: This analysis was conducted from the perspective of the Spanish National Healthcare System with a 3-year horizon as base case. A disease progression model using a linked risk equation approach was used to estimate disease progression and associated healthcare costs, and quality-adjusted life years (QALYs). The Evaluation of COPD Longitudinally to Identify Predictive Surrogate Endpoints (ECLIPSE) study was used to develop the statistical risk equations for clinical endpoints, and costs were calculated using a health state approach (by dyspnea severity). Utilities for QALY calculation were estimated using patient baseline characteristics within a regression fit to Spanish observational data. Treatment effect, expressed as change from baseline in FEV1 was obtained from the head-to-head study and used in the model (UMEC/VI minus TIO/OLO difference: + 52 mL [95% confidence interval: 28, 77]). Baseline patient characteristics were sourced from Spanish literature or the head-to-head study if unavailable. A scenario analysis using only the intent-to-treat (ITT) population from the head-to-head study, and sensitivity analyses (including probabilistic sensitivity analyses), were conducted. Direct healthcare costs (2017 Euro) were obtained from Spanish sources and costs and benefits were discounted at 3% per annum. Results: UMEC/VI was associated with small improvements in QALYs (+ 0.029) over a 3-year time horizon, compared with TIO/OLO, alongside cost savings of €393/patient. The ITT scenario analysis and sensitivity analyses had similar results. All probabilistic simulations resulted in UMEC/VI being less costly and more effective than TIO/OLO. Conclusion: UMEC/VI dominated TIO/OLO (more effective and less expensive). These results may aid payers and decision-makers in Spain when making judgements on which long-acting muscarinic antagonist/long-acting β2-agonist (LAMA/LABA) treatments can be considered cost effective in Spain.This study was funded by GSK (study number HO-17-17500).
