DDOS ATTACK DETECTION USING HYBRID (CCN AND LSTM) ML MODEL

    Get PDF
LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) and CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks) are two types of deep learning algorithms; by combining the strengths of LSTM and CNN, researchers have developed deep learning models that can effectively detect SDN (Software-Defined Network) attacks including Distributed Denial of Service. These models effectively analyze network traffic, encompassing temporal and spatial characteristics, resulting in precise identification of malicious traffic. In this research, a hybrid model composed of CNN and LSTM is used to detect the DDoS attack in SDN network. Where the CNN component of the model can identify spatial patterns in network traffic, such as the characteristics of individual packets, while the LSTM component can capture temporal patterns in traffic over time, such as the timing and frequency of traffic bursts. The proposed model has been trained on a labeled network traffic dataset, with one class representing normal traffic and another class representing DDoS attack traffic. During the training process, the model adjusts its weights and biases to minimize the difference between its predicted output and the actual output for each input sample. Once trained, the hybrid model classifies incoming network traffic in the dataset as either normal or malicious with an initial accuracy of (78.18%) and losses of (39.77%) at the 1st epoch till it reaches an accuracy of (99.99%) with losses of (9.29×10-5) at the epoch number 500. It should be mentioned that the hybrid model of CNN and LSTM for DDoS detection is implemented using Python Anaconda platform with an ETA 28ms/step

Marshall Olkin exponential Gompertz distribution: Properties and applications

    Get PDF
Generalizing distribution is an important area in probability theory. Many distributions are not suitable for modeling data, that are either symmetric or heavily skewed. In this paper, a new compound distribution termed as Marshall Olkin Exponential Gompertz (MOEGo) is introduced. Several essential statistical properties of MOEGo distribution were studied and investigated. The estimation of distribution parameters was performed using the maximum likelihood estimation method. Two real data (symmetric and right-skewed) were adopted to illustrate the flexibility of MOEGo distribution. This flexibility enables the use of MOEGo distribution in various application areas

Persuasion to suggest 3D advertising through websites

Research Summary Advertising is a form of visual communication between the designer and the provider of the visual message addressed to the recipient. From the imagination of the designer and his ideas in addition to modern design techniques the designer must follow a mechanism of thoughtful persuasion It aims to achieve by modern design techniques contained in modern design programs that give inspiration and bring the shape closer to reality or reality to capture the interests and desires of the recipient. The researchers found a research topic worthy of study that identifies the research problem with the following question (What is the mechanism of persuasion to suggest a three-dimensional design of the ad published through the websites)? The objectives of the research included a statement of the mechanism of persuasion to suggest 3D and its effectiveness In advertising design. The theoretical framework of the mabahith was distributed to two researchers. The first dealt with persuasion and communication in the declaration. The second topic is the three-dimensional advertising design and computer software as the development of technology and science accompanied the development of work style and production. By computer through some programs and tools, which vary and increase to achieve the desired function, which allows the possibility of creating multiple and innovative variations as well as achieve the aesthetic aspect of the subject. They reached the most important indicators resulting from the theoretical framework and identified in the third chapter the research procedures based on the descriptive method and the society and the sample. The fourth chapter included the results and conclusions and the results of the questionnaire and recommendations and proposals

The diversity of the formal and persuasive context of the advertising poster based on digital technology

The advertisement is a visual message and one of its forms, it is a link between the sender and the recipient, thus it takes upon itself to persuade the recipient and take it in the acquisition of the good or service due to the effect it shows in the diversity of the formal and persuasive context of the advertisement and the features in it that result from the imagination, creativity and innovation of the designer in addition to the use of programs Therefore, the designer has to follow elaborate and deliberate steps to achieve persuasion, take the interest of the recipient and achieve his desire, as the two researchers identified the research problem by asking the following question (what is the diversity of the formal and persuasive context embodied in the design structure in digital advertising) by adopting the technical aspect and following the advanced scientific method in designing Advertisements, especially printing technology, and the formal and persuasive consistency of digital advertising. The recipient is no longer that person who can easily reach his desire and draw his attention and push him to buy through simple and quick designs. The advertisement has become an elaborate creative and persuasive process. Here comes the role of the designer who opened the way to dependence on advanced digital programs and high artistic methods through formal and persuasive diversity through style and colors, and the exploitation of design spaces in a thoughtful digital manner. The recipient is no longer that person who can easily reach his desire. He caught his attention and made him buy with simple and fast designs. Technology has entered as a basic factor in designing advertisements to save time and effort and produce impressive and influential designs by relying on good foundations and contexts, as the advertisement has become an elaborate creative and persuasive process. Thus, the research was limited to three topics, the first topic, where the problem, importance and goal of the research was reviewed and terminology defined, and the second topic included the theoretical framework, while the third topic singled out the procedures used for the descriptive and analytical research approach, the research community and the sample analysis. As for the fourth topic, the findings, conclusions, recommendations, proposals and sources were reviewed

Aims: The study aims to estimate the carriage of Staphylococci spp on nares and hands among dental staff and their antibiotic resistance pattern. Materials and Methods: 100 samples were collected from the nose and hands of dental workers (dentists and assistants) in the teaching hospital of the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul from the period 17th Dec. 2020 to 9th Feb.2021. The isolates were diagnosed based on phenotypic traits, microscopy, biochemical test, and the use of the vitek – 2compact device to confirm the species, 66 isolates showed that they were able to ferment mannitol, 32 isolates from the hands, and 34 isolates from the nose while the other isolates showed an inability to ferment mannitol sugar. All Staphylococcus isolates were Gram-positive, catalase 100%, coagulase (18.75%) for hand isolates, and (52.9%) for nosal isolates. Using the vitek 2-compact (40) isolates of fermented mannitol were diagnosed and the results were as follows (20) isolates Staph.aureus 14; (70%) from nose and 6(30%) from hand, 5 isolates of Staph. lugdunensis ;4 (80%) from nose ,1 (20%) from hand .4 isolates Staph. Saprophyticus; 2 (50%) from nose, 2(50%) from hand,2 isolates of Staph. hominis; (100%) from hand,3 isolates of Staph. warneri 2;(66.67%) from nose, 1(33.33%) from hand and one isolate of Staph.sciuri 1,(100) from hand and one isolate of Leuconostoc mesenteroides from hand, four isolates the device couldn't diagnose. The sensitivity of the different isolates to oxacillin was determined with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) using vitek2-compact device as oxacillin indicates methicillin in the device. The isolates differed in their resistance to the antibiotic oxacillin where the highest resistance was the percentage to each of Staph.lugdunensis and Staph.sciuri the resistance rate reached 100% followed by Staph.aureus were the resistance rate reached 80% then Staph.warneri 66.67% , Staph.hominis 50% and Staph. Saprophyticus 25% . The sensitivity of different isolates to antibiotics was determined by using Kirby –Bauer method using seven types of antibiotics Staphylococcus isolates showed resistance to both oxacillin and methicillin at percentage 100% except for Staph. Saprophyticus where the resistance was 50%
