Point particle kinematics and light propagation in de Sitter spacetime

V této práci se zabýváme de Sitterovou speciální relativiou, která se odehrává v de Sitterově časoprostoru namísto Minkowského časoprostoru. Začínáme studií grupy symetrie de Sitterova časoprostoru. Snažíme se použít tyto poznatky k rozvinutí kinematiky v de Sitterově časoprostoru. Dále přezkoumáváme spojení mezi elektrodynamikou na pevně zvoleném časoprostoru a elektrodynamikou v makroskopickém médiu v plochém časoprostoru. Toto aplikujeme na de Sitterův časoprostor a hledáme index lomu sdruženého média.In this thesis we study de Sitterian special relativity, which takes place in de Sitter spacetime instead of Minkowski spacetime. We start with study of the symmetry group of de Sitter spacetime. We try to use these results to develop kinematics in this spacetime. We also review connection between electrodynamics on fixed background spacetime and electrodynamics in macroscopic media in flat spacetime. We apply this on de Sitter spacetime and find refractive index of associated macroscopic media.

Software for Stereotactic Navigation System in Epileptosurgery

Tato práce je zaměřena na návrh a implementaci poloautomatického nástroje pro plánování implantace hloubkových elektrod v oboru epileptochirurgie. Navržené řešení je implementováno jako rozšíření do platformy 3D Slicer. Volumetrická data znázorňující omezující podmínky a seznam cílů navigace jsou použity jako vstupy pro automatické zpracování. Systém navrhuje seznam kandidátů na řešení, která mohou být interaktivně ohodnoceny. Toto je první iterace implementace, která obsahuje základní funkcionalitu zahrnující dávkové zpracování vstupních dat, automatické ohodnocení navigační trajektorie a uživatelské rozhraní pro interaktivní ohodnocení navrhovaných řešení.The thesis is focused on the design and implementation of semi-automatic navigation planner for implantation of deep brain electrodes in epileptosurgery. The solution is implemented as an extension into 3D Slicer platform. It uses volumetric data model of restricted areas and list of navigation targets as inputs to automatic processing. The system suggests the list of solution candidates which can be interactively evaluated. This is the first iteration of the implementation which incorporates basic functionality including batch processing of the input data, automatic evaluation of navigation paths and user interface for interactive evaluation

THE QUALITY OF UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE TRAINING OF A TEACHING ASSISTANT

The article deals with the results of research, monitoring the attitudes of specific pedagogical staff – teaching assistants (TA) – in the Czech Republic to their undergraduate and postgraduate education. It includes statements of more than 800 respondents. It evaluates the qualifications, teaching assistants´ skills of working with children of the target group (disablements and social disadvantages). It provides a comparison of attitudes of both teaching assistants´ groups (acting as teaching assistants in two mentioned groups of pupils). It answers the questions: Which qualifications are regarded by TA as the most important? Which skills have not been provided by existing training programs and courses? How do they assess the conditions of executing the profession in schools? The research confirmed the difference between legislatively determined mandatory minimum of educational curriculum for TA and their real needs. It makes proposals to modify training programs

Single phase current-source active rectifier for traction: control system design and practical problems

This research has been motivated by industrial demand for single phase current-source active rectifier dedicated for reconstruction of older types of dc machine locomotives. This paper presents converters control structure design and simulations. The proposed converter control is based on the mathematical model and due to possible interaction with railway signaling and required low switching frequency employs synchronous PWM. The simulation results are verified by experimental tests performed on designed laboratory prototype of power of 7kVA

About the Theory of Assimilation Processes: Construction of Slovak Minority Communities This contribution focuses on the problems of ethnic identity and assimilation processes in minority background, and concentrates on the problems of Slovak minorities. The author presents the classification of assimilation factors, which he designed on the basis of theoretical aspects of ethnicity. These assimilation factors have a vast influence on members of a minority in minority communities. This approach is guided by the results of the author’s field research and review of relevant literature, especially in the areas of the Republic of Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Croatia. The paper contains new information that can contribute to the theory of assimilation processes. The research of these issues and the outlined factors of ethnic assimilation and their contexts certainly cannot be considered definitive.   O teorii procesów asymilacyjnych: Kształtowanie się Słowackiej mniejszości narodowej Artykuł koncentruje się na problematyce tożsamości etnicznej i procesów asymilacyjnych zachodzących na gruncie wspólnot mniejszościowych, skupiając uwagę na mniejszości słowackiej. Autor przedstawia swoją klasyfikację czynników asymilacyjnych, opierającą się na teorii etniczności. Pokazuje, jak sprzyjające czynniki asymilacji oddziałują na członków wspólnot mniejszościowych. W swoim ujęciu zagadnienia uwzględnia wyniki przeprowadzonych przez siebie badań terenowych oraz literaturę przedmiotu, zwłaszcza w odniesieniu do Słowacji, Węgier, Rumunii, Serbii i Chorwacji. Artykuł zawiera nowe dane, które mogą przyczynić się do poszerzenia teorii procesów asymilacyjnych. Přestože pagingová služba RDS (Radio Data System) se u nás masivně nerozšířila, jádro informačního systému se však rozvíjelo. Nyní představuje tento systém operativní zdroj informací. Přijímač koncovému uživateli předává informace ve formě textové, grafické nebo hlasové, současně provádí i řídící a přepínací funkce. Systém doplňkových služeb RDS využívá větší počet různých služeb. Research of Geometric Accuracy of Circular Holes Machined by Wire EDM Technology

The geometric accuracy of the machined surface after WEDM can generally be understood as complying with the requirements of shape, position, orientation and runout accuracy. Its level is usually quantified by the respective deviations from the nominal value. Even though WEDM technology is one of the most accurate finishing machining technologies, when manufacturing curved shapes or rotational surfaces there are certain deviations from the desired geometric shape or dimension. Therefore, the aim of the applied experimental research was to contribute to the database of existing knowledge, which can clearly define the extent of the influence for a specific combination of workpiece material EN S355J0 and wire electrode material parameters CuZn37 through a clear formulation of individual laws in relation to geometric precision of curved surfaces after WEDM. The subsequent aim was, based on the analysis of the obtained results, to determine the primary causes of the occurrence of geometric deviations, and to propose recommendations for their elimination

Školní řády - hledisko právní, obsahové a strukturální

V Pedagogické orientaci č. 1/2000 byla uveřejněna podnětná stať Pavla Vacka, řešící psychologické souvislosti vývoje dítěte a jeho vztahu k normám zde reprezentovanými školními řády. Vacek vedle analýzy školních řádů dospívá ke konstatování jednoho ze základních rozporů našeho školství, který charakterizuje jako „rozpor mezi všeobecně deklarovanými principy, které jsou akceptovány jako nezbytný základ humanistické a demokratické školy a na druhé straně pak setrvačnost postupů a metod typických pro školu socialistickou" (Vacek, 2000) Na jeho stať navazujeme tímto článkem. Neboť obdobnými slovy lze charakterizovat i dosavadní přístup řady zpracovatelů k obsahu a formě školních řádů. Namísto obsahově vyvážené a formálně specifické normy, která by měla vedle podřízenosti obecně závazným normativně právním aktům respektovat i skutečné potřeby a život daného vzdělávacího zařízení, je příprava a tvorba školního řádu chápána jako „nutné zlo". Náš příspěvek se tedy zabývá právními aspekty tvorby a působnosti školních řádů a z nich vyplývajících pedagogických konsekvencí
