    Morphology, wettability and osseointegration of dental implant surfaces: a systematic review.

    The objective of this study was to perform a systematic review on the effects of morphology and wettability of surfaces on the osseointegration of dental implants. A bibliographic search of articles published in the last tem years was conducted on PubMed database. The following search terms were applied to select the most relevant studies: “wettability” OR “surface energy” OR “BIC” OR “hydrophilic” AND “dental implants”. Several modifications of implant surfaces resulted in na increase of hidropholicty and wetabllity for the osseointegration process. The morfologic aspects at micro- and nano-scale of the implant surfaces can promote the wetabillity and therefore to stimulate platelets and osteogenic cells.     Influence of implant connections on the expansion of dental implants: systematic review with meta-analysis.

    There are different types of implant connections and there is no consensus on the best connection profile for preserving peri-implant bone tissue. Therefore, this systematic review with meta-analysis aimed to analyze the rate of implant loss and level of bone remodeling in implants with different types of connections (Morse taper and external hexagon). The PubMed / Medline, Cochrane Collaboration and SciELO databases were analyzed in order to select the appropriate articles. This review was recorded on the PROSPERO database (CRD42017075429). The data were organized in tables and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using the Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Software, being considered as a significant value of p <0.05. The data collected indicated that the failure rate of Morse taper implants (2.6%) was very close to the failure rate of external hexagon implants (3.0%), as well as no significant difference was found in bone loss rates. marginal, when both types of connections were compared, p = 0.556 over an average period of 12 to 60 months.     Consensus must be found on intravenous fluid therapy management in trauma patients

    Introduction: Trauma is an important cause of death among young people and 30-40% of this mortality rate is due to hypovolemic shock, intensified by trauma's lethal triad: Hypothermia, Acidosis, and Coagulopathy. Nurses are responsible for managing fluid therapy administration in trauma victims. The purpose of this study is to analyse the reasons why intravenous fluid therapy is recommended for trauma patients' hemodynamic stabilization. Methods: This narrative literature review included published and unpublished studies in English, Spanish or Portuguese between 1994 and January 2019. The search results were analyzed by two independent reviewers. Inclusion criteria encompasses quantitative studies involving trauma victims aged over 18 who underwent fluid therapy in a prehospital assessment context. Results&Discussion: 11 quantitative studies were included. 9 involved the use of fluid therapy for hypotension treatment and 2 of the studies analyzed involved the use of warmed fluid therapy for hypothermia treatment. The analysis performed reveals that the administration of aggressive fluid therapy seems to be responsible for the worsening of the lethal triad. In the presence of traumatic brain injury, permissive hypotension is not allowed due to the negative impact on cerebral perfusion pressure. Used as warming measure, warmed fluid therapy does not seem to have a significant impact on body temperature. Conclusions: There is no consensus regarding the administration of fluid therapy to trauma patients. This conclusion clearly supports the need to develop more randomized controlled trials in order to understand the effectiveness of such measure when it comes to control hypovolemia and hypothermia.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

    A alimentação escolar e as compras locais da agricultura familiar: uma análise bibliométrica da literatura

    Objetivo­ – Revisar a literatura atual sobre a qualidade da alimentação escolar e as compras locais da agricultura familiar, na tentativa de identificar clusters de pesquisadores e apontar necessidades de pesquisas nessa temática.Design – Pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, caracterizada como estudo bibliométrico, com abordagem quantitativa. Utilizando o software CiteSpace versão 5.7.R2, analisou-se 2.042 artigos recuperados da Web of Science. Os resultados foram discutidos à luz da literatura.Análise – Analisou-se a rede de co-citation.  Resultados – Por mais de dez anos o cluster “Competitive Food” agrupou o maior número de pesquisadores. Os clusters mais recentes estavam focados na qualidade nutricional da alimentação escolar. O cluster “COMPASS Study” indicou que pesquisadores focalizam estudos longitudinais como possibilidade de integrar pesquisa, avaliação, política e prática preventiva que visem melhorar a saúde dos alunos. O cluster “Rio Grande” indicou que o Brasil demostra maior interesse em relacionar os temas abordados nesta pesquisa. Conclusões e implicações – A centralidade da dimensão nutricional para a qualidade alimentar está sendo deslocada para outros aspectos, tais como, sentimentos do aluno em relação à escola, à comunidade e, o bullying. Dessa forma, a tendência é que os estudos sejam mais abrangentes e as políticas mais inclusivas. No entanto, a contribuição das compras locais da agricultura familiar para a qualidade da alimentação escolar carece ser mais explorada

    Tese (doutorado)—Universidade de Brasília, Instituto de Geociências, 2013.Esse trabalho apresenta ferramentas e técnicas de elevado desempenho para avaliação de potenciais hidroelétricos em bacias hidrográficas. O tema sobre avaliação de potencial hidroelétrico tem sido estudado há décadas, porém, a ampliação da oferta de dados espaciais, aumento da acurácia e o uso de geotecnologias para tratamento de dados e informações possibilitam novas abordagens de estudos. Foram estudadas formas de avaliação integrada da fisiografia da bacia hidrográfica, meio ambiente e recursos hídricos, e, meio antrópico. A proposição consiste na aplicação de geotecnologias para aperfeiçoar consultas e análises tanto do potencial estimado (remanescente e individualizado) como do inventariado, baseando na estruturação da informação espacial para aplicação de ferramentas automatizadas em processos. O levantamento das pesquisas mundiais mais atuais para avaliação de potenciais hidroelétricos indica uma visão de estudo espacial da bacia hidrográfica mais sistêmica do que análises de potencial ao longo de trechos de cursos d‘água, aplicadas atualmente ao levantamento do potencial estimado brasileiro. Diferentemente da grande maioria dos países desenvolvidos ou em desenvolvimento, 75% da energia elétrica brasileira tem fonte de geração hidroenergética. Estima-se que apenas 32% do potencial hidroelétrico brasileiro se encontra explorado, restando cerca de 88,2 GW de potencial a explorar. Porém, grande parte desse potencial encontra-se em áreas protegidas, conhecidas como unidades de conservação. Em áreas mais urbanizadas, a construção de um reservatório pode exercer fortes influências sobre bens e serviços da sociedade. As metodologias para essas estimativas podem apresentar limitações por insuficiências de informações ou ferramentas e técnicas aplicadas. O maior conhecimento dos limites aceitáveis entre os sítios com potenciais de hidroenergia, os impactos socioeconômicos e a proteção da biodiversidade podem ser aprofundados com o desenvolvimento de ferramentas e técnicas para consultas mais transparentes e análises mais detalhadas desde as fases iniciais dos estudos. A metodologia desenvolvida consiste na análise do modelo digital de elevação para identificação de quedas d‘água, na regionalização de dados hidrológicos e na análise integrada com informações do meio ambiente, infraestrutura existente e fatores econômicos. Foram aplicados métodos de abstração, conversão e estruturação de dados baseados em estatística espacial, álgebra de mapas, análises multivariadas de dados e sistema de apoio à decisão por análise multicritério. As ferramentas e técnicas utilizadas na área de estudo, podem ser aplicadas a outras regiões do território brasileiro. A base de dados geográficos da fisiografia, da hidrologia, do meio ambiente e da infraestrutura, utilizada nesse trabalho, tem propriedades discretas e contínuas e pode ser aplicada a estudos com abrangência regional ou nacional. O resultado final são propostas de estruturação da informação associadas aos processos em sistemas de informação geográfica para aperfeiçoamento das avaliações integradas de potenciais hidroelétricos. _______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis research seeks to introduce high-performance tools and techniques to the evaluation of hydroelectric potential in watersheds. The evaluation of hydroelectric potential has been studied for decades, however, the expansion of the spatial data, accuracy increasing and the use of Geotechnologies for data and information processing enable new approaches. An evaluation approach purposed the integration of the watershed physiographic feature, the environment and water resources, and anthropic issues. The proposal consists in the application of geotechnology to optimize queries and analyses of both the estimated potential (remnant and individualized) and inventoried, based on structuring of spatial information for implementation of automated tools in processes. The survey of the world's most updated research for evaluation of potential hydroelectric indicates a vision of the watershed space study more systemic than potential analyses along stretches of watercourses, currently applied to lift the estimated potential. Unlike the vast majority of developed or developing countries, 75% of the electric energy generation in Brazil is hydropower sourced. It is estimated that only 32% of the Brazilian hydroelectric potential is exploited, leaving approximately 88.2 GW of potential to explore. However, much of this potential is located in protected areas, known as conservation units. In more urbanized areas, the construction of a reservoir can exert strong influences on infrastructure and services of society. The methodologies for these estimates may introduce limitations for inadequacies of information or tools and applied techniques. The greater knowledge of acceptable limits between the sites with hydropower potential, socioeconomic impacts and protection of biodiversity can be fleshed out with the development of tools and techniques to get more transparent and more detailed analyses since the initial phases of the studies. The developed methodology consists in the analysis of digital elevation model for identification of waterfalls, on regionalization of hydrological data and integrated analysis of environment, existing infrastructure and economic factors. Abstraction conversion and structuring data methods were applied, based on spatial statistics, algebra of maps, multivariate data analysis and decision support system for multi-criteria analysis. The tools and techniques used in the study area can be applied to other regions of the Brazilian territory. The models of spatial database of physiographic features, hydrology, environment and infrastructure, used in this work, show discrete and continuous properties and can be applied to regional or national studies. The final results are proposals for structuring information associated to processes in geographic information systems to improve integrated assessments of hydroelectric potential
