The article describes the activities financed by the European Union (EU) in the framework of Erasmus Program and their interaction with other programs of interuniversity co-operation developed in the EU countries as well as in the EFTA. Likewise a evaluation ofthis program in the area of Health Sciences, specially in Pharmacy is made. Attainments obtained in the recent years are judged and their future projection into the Sócrates Program studied.El artículo describe, por una parte, las actividades financiadas por la Unión Europea (VE) en el marco del programa Erasmus y su interacción con otros programas de cooperación interuniversitaria desarrollados tanto en los países de la UE como en los de la AELC. Grapholita molesta : characterization of an artificial rearing

Grapholita molesta (Busck) es considerada plaga principal del duraznero en Mendoza. Sus larvas han sido criadas, en condiciones de laboratorio, con dietas naturales por diversos autores. Los objetivos fueron: 1. poner a punto la cría artificial de la especie; 2. diseñar una jaula para el apareamiento y la oviposición de los adultos; 3. evaluar la eficiencia de la jaula y la dieta larvaria mediante grados día, ciclo biológico, peso de pupas, recuperación de huevoadulto, fecundidad, viabilidad y longevidad. La cría artificial de una especie constituye una herramienta para profundizar sus conocimientos bioetoecológicos y, en consecuencia, aplicarlos en su control. En 1996 se fundó una cría con larvas salvajes alimentadas con manzanas verdes pequeñas del cv. Granny Smith. Los adultos se desarrollaron en una jaula especialmente diseñada. En el ciclo biológico, la recuperación huevo-adulto y la fecundidad se obtuvieron valores superiores a los citados por otros autores pero no ocurrió lo mismo con las otras variables. La cría artificial de Grapholita molesta (Busck) se logró desarrollar por 37 generaciones y la alta fecundidad obtenida es una clave fundamental en el éxito de su mantenimiento.The Grapholita molesta (Busck) is considered the principal plague of peach trees in Mendoza. Its larva have been bred in laboratory conditions, with natural diets by different authors. The goals were: 1. to set the artificial breeding for this specie; 2. to design a cage for the mating and adult oviposition; 3. to evaluate the efficiency of the cage and larval diet by means of day egrees, biological cycle, pupae weight, egg-adult recovery, fertility, viability and longevity. The artificial rearing of a species constitutes a fundamental tool to obtain bioetoecological knowledge and in consequence apply it in its control. In 1996 offspring of wild larva which were fed small green Granny Smith apples were founded. The adults developed in a specially designed cage. In the biological cycle, egg-adult recovery and fertility superior values than those mentioned by other authors were obtained, but this didn't reoccur with the other variables. The artificial rearing of the Grapholita molesta (Busck) were able to develop for 37 generations, being the high fertility obtained a fundamental key in the success of their maintenance.Fil: Marín, María Susana. True colour Denisyuk-Type hologram recording in Bayfol HX self-developing photopolymer

True colour Denisyuk-type hologram recording of diffusing objects in Bayfol® HX 102 self-developing photopolymer has been studied. In a first stage, monochromatic Denisyuk holograms of a standard white diffuser (Spectralon) have been recorded using lasers with wavelengths 442, 532 and 633 nm to determine the optimum exposure that gives maximum efficiency. The recording of holograms from a diffusing object has the particularity that intermodulation noise due to interference between waves arriving from different object points reduces effective index modulation. A maximum effective efficiency of 80% has been reached for monochromatic recording. In a second stage, a set of experiments has been carried out to determine the adequate relation of exposure for the recording of a Denisyuk hologram of the standard white diffuser with the three lasers simultaneously to get the maximum efficiency for each wavelength. With the determined optimal exposure, a hologram of a polychromatic diffusing object has been recorded, obtaining a good visual coincidence between hologram and original object

Holographic Optical Elements to Generate Achromatic Vortices with Ultra-Short and Ultra-Intense Laser Pulses

The requirements for the generation of optical vortices with ultra-short and ultra-intense laser pulses are considered. Several optical vortice generation procedures are analysed, specifically those based on diffractive elements, such as computer generated holograms (CGH). Optical vortices achromatization techniques are studied. Volume phase holographic (VPH) elements are considered for highly efficient, broad spectrum, high damage-threshold generation of vortices. VPH compound systems, including a compact one, for achromatic vortex generation are presented. Experimental results of vortice generation with ultra-short and ultra-intense pulses are shown

Estudi de l’abandonament en el primer curs de la titulació de telecomunicacions

Dins de la tasca de coordinació del primer curs del grau de telecomunicacions s'ha observat un grau molt elevat d'abandonament de la titulació. Aquest fet condiciona la tasca i metodologia docent. Amb la intenció d'incrementar la qualitat del nou grau i augmentar les taxes de eficàcia, hem buscat els motius que originen aquest alt grau d’abandonament dins la titulació i hem ideat possibles solucions que posen remei o pal·lien en certa mesura aquest problema. Per això es presenten estratègies i mecanismes per augmentar la qualitat de la docència, es comparen els resultats dels darrers cursos i s’analitzen els resultats de les estratègies posades en marxa.
