Cinema and society: The construction of male and female characters in late francoism ‘landismo’ [Cine y Sociedad: La construcción de los personajes masculinos y femeninos en el ‘landismo’ tardofranquista]
This work is based on the relationship between film theory and its sociological dimension, to formulate an analysis of ‘landismo’, one of the most important social phenomena in the history of Spanish cinema. Specifically, this study synthesises the main narrative strategies employed in a corpus of 19 films that build a recurring image of masculinity and femininity through the main characters. The study concludes an opposed role between men and women inside relationships, which does not prevent the achievement of personal and family stability
Applications of CVD to Produce Thin Films for Solid‐State Devices
Thin films of Pt‐YSZ and Pd‐ZrO2 cermets by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) from metallorganic precursors (MOCVD) were evaluated as electrode in solid‐state devices. Morphology and structural characteristics were studied by X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electronic microscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and transmission electronic microscopy (TEM). Electrochemical performance was determined using Tafel and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy methods. Metallorganic precursors were used (metal‐acetylacetonates), and argon and oxygen were used as the carrier and reactive gases, respectively. The particle average size was less than 20 nm, with high and uniform particle dispersion according to TEM measurements
Decoherence of Histories and Hydrodynamic Equations for a Linear Oscillator Chain
We investigate the decoherence of histories of local densities for linear
oscillators models. It is shown that histories of local number, momentum and
energy density are approximately decoherent, when coarse-grained over
sufficiently large volumes. Decoherence arises directly from the proximity of
these variables to exactly conserved quantities (which are exactly decoherent),
and not from environmentally-induced decoherence. We discuss the approach to
local equilibrium and the subsequent emergence of hydrodynamic equations for
the local densities.Comment: 37 pages, RevTe
Microwave irradiation synthesis to obtain La0.7-xPrxCa0.3MnO3 perovskites : electrical and electrochemical performance

The results are discussed in terms of the potential as cathode material to be applied in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) applications at temperatures from 600 to 800 °C. Results derived from TGA showed that Pr promotes the uncoupling oxygen and oxygen vacancies favoring the fuel combusting. Also, TEC analysis revealed adequate stability between the YSZ electrolyte and the La0.7-xPrxCa0.3MnO3 to avoid cracking or failing, especially with high amount of Pr. The transition in morphology from irregular to regular shapes improves the BET and Barret- Joyner- Halenda (BJH) surfaces and promotes the triple phase boundary (TPB) connectivity. The electrical conductivity correlated to the availability in oxygen vacancies showed maximum conductivities in the order of 10−2 S cm−1. Activation energy (Ea) was found to be reduced with a minimum quantity of Pr (0.071 eV). EIS results indicate that the oxygen vacancies in the LPCM/YSZ system were better promoted with the highest amount of Pr = 0.63 (η = 0.9 V, 800 °C and 0.06 V of amplitude) in comparison with the minimum, Pr = 0.35 (η = 1.2 V, 800 °C and 0.06 V of amplitude).PostprintPeer reviewe

Experimental data in support of characterization of the CePO4 dispersion into transparent PMMA/PU IPNs by the sequential route
© 2018 This article is focused on the complementary data referring to the article “Dispersion of upconverting nanostructures of CePO4 using rod and semi-spherical morphologies into transparent PMMA/PU IPNs by the sequential route”. It contains the XPS data of CePO4 photographs and DSC thermograms of transparent PMMA/PU IPNs as well as with CePO4 dispersed in different wt.%, Confocal laser scanning micrographs, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), optical images of surface, and visual inspection (photographs) before and after aging of hybrid materials
Dispersion of upconverting nanostructures of CePO4 using rod and semi-spherical morphologies into transparent PMMA/PU IPNs by the sequential route
Upconverting luminescent poly (methylmethacrylate) (PMMA)/poly (urethane) (PU) interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) nanohybrids were prepared using a sequential polymerisation incorporating different wt.% of cerium phosphate (CePO 4 ) nanoparticles. The effect of miscibility/compatibility of the different PMMA/PU ratios, the addition and dispersion of rod and semi-spherical nanostructures in as well as the performance of selected IPNs under accelerated aging were studied using morphological, emission, thermal and mechanical studies. Structural studies revealed that there were physical interactions between C[dbnd]O groups and CePO 4 in PMMA/PU IPNs. The addition of a higher wt.% of nanostructures was found to decrease the transparency of the IPNs. Resulting PMMA/PU/CePO 4 IPN nanohybrids are photoluminescent under UV-light, supporting the prolongate of lifetime while maintaining the mechanical properties after being subjected to accelerated weathering. The addition of semi-spherical particles resulted in a more stable materials after accelerated weathering than nanorods
Mean-field theory of Bose-Fermi mixtures in optical lattices
We determine the phase diagram of a mixture of ultracold bosons and polarized
fermions placed in an optical lattice using mean field theory. In the limit of
strong atom-atom interactions, there exist quantum phases that involve pairing
of fermions with one or more bosons, or bosonic holes, respectively. We obtain
the analytic form of the phase boundaries separating these composite fermion
phases from the bosonic superfluid coexisting with Fermi liquid. We compare the
results with numerical simulations and discuss their validity and relevance for
current experiments.Comment: 4 pages, 2 eps figures, new section on experimental requirements and
