Um percurso profissional no desenvolvimento e gestão de sistemas aeronáuticos
Este documento constitui o Relatório de atividades nos termos do Despacho
nº 20/2010 para obtenção do Grau de Mestre em Engenharia Eletrotécnica e de
Computadores, perfil Decisão e Controlo, para Licenciados “Pré-Bolonha”.
Nele é apresentado o meu percurso académico e profissional, com o relato
das responsabilidades e tarefas desempenhadas em cada função e o desenvolvimento
da respetiva experiência profissional. Em particular, optou-se por desenvolver
o tópico da certificação aeronáutica no contexto do projeto A400M.
Ao longo do percurso profissional apresentado pode ser observado o desenvolvimento
de competências alargadas na área de gestão de equipas e projetos,
desenvolvimento e integração de sistemas críticos complexos, gestão de
configuração e certificação de sistemas aeronáuticos, auditoria de processos operacionais
e industriais e desenvolvimento e gestão de estratégias comerciais. Este
percurso termina, de forma muito natural, na utilização das competências adquiridas
ao ensino e aplicações de sustentabilidade de produção agrícola.This document presents the Activity Report in accordance with Order Nº.
20/2010 for obtaining a Master's degree in Electronic's Engineering, Control Systems'
minor, by a "pre-Bologna" graduated student.
It presents my academic and professional experience, with a detailed report
of functions, responsibilities and tasks performed in each step of my professional
career development. In particular, the topic of aeronautical certification is presented
in a separate section, based on the A400M project.
The presented professional path shows evidence of extended knowledge
and skills development in the areas of project and people's management, critical
systems' development and integration, configuration management, aeronautical
systems' certification, audit of industrial and operational processes and strategic
management. This career path ends with the application of the life-long acquired
skills in the area of training and permaculture design for sustainable agriculture
Sweet peppers discrimination according to agronomic production mode and maturation stage using a chemical-sensory approach and an electronic tongue
Supplementary data to this article can be found online at https://doi.org/10.1016/j.microc.2020.105034.The demand for organic foods has increased worldwide, in particular due to the association with healthier, more nutritious and tasty products, being a clear trend on sweet peppers consumption. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the effects of agronomic production mode (conventional and organic) and maturation stage (associated to green, turning and red colours) on the chemical-sensory attributes of peppers grown in open field. It was found that organic peppers had a better visual/tactile aspect (greater firmness and more intense colours) but lower chemical quality (lower titratable acidity and total soluble solids). On the other hand, red peppers (higher maturation stage) had lower visual-tactile quality but higher chemical quality. From sensory analysis, conventional peppers had better overall aspect, colour intensity-homogeneity and brightness. Then again, the maturation stage of peppers mostly influenced the sensory visual attributes, being turning colour peppers the less appreciated, although organic red peppers were less succulent and had a lower global quality. Even so, the chemical-sensory parameters could be used to discriminate peppers taking into account the agronomic production mode and the maturation stage/colour (79±12% of correct classifications for the repeated K-fold cross-validation procedure). However, a trained sensory panel is required, which can be a major drawback considering their scarcity. This limitation was successfully overcome by using a potentiometric electronic tongue, which allowed discriminating the peppers with a higher predictive sensitivity (85±9%), showing that this device could be used as an accurate taste sensor for the qualitative analysis of sweet peppers.The authors are grateful to the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT, Portugal) and FEDER under Program PT2020 for financial support to CIMO (UIDB/00690/2020) and to CEB (UIDB/04469/2020) units and to BioTecNorte operation (NORTE‐01‐0145‐FEDER‐000004) funded by the European Regional

Conhecimento de geometria de estudantes da licenciatura em Educação Básica
Este estudo quantitativo tem como objetivo avaliar o
desenvolvimento do conhecimento de geometria de mais de duas centenas de
estudantes do ensino superior a frequentar o curso de Educação Básica em
três ESE. Através de um teste com 21 questões, passado antes e após a
formação em Geometria, avaliaram-se os estudantes num conjunto de
categorias. Os resultados revelam que, embora os estudantes manifestem
conhecimentos de conceitos elementares à partida, com percentagens em
torno dos 70%, e evolução nas três escolas, com aumentos médios de 5%,
revelam, ainda, aspetos críticos relativos a conceitos básicos contemplados
no teste.ABSTRACT: This quantitative study aims to assess the development of geometry
knowledge of over two hundred students attending Basic Education course in
three Schools of Education. Through a test with 21 questions, handed over
before and after training in Geometry, students are assessed in a set of
categories. The results reveal that although students demonstrate knowledge
of elementary concepts at the outset, with percentages of success above 70%,
and evolution at the three schools, with an average increase of 5%, also

Estudo de conservação sob atmosfera controlada na qualidade da cereja cv. Satin
A cereja é muito apreciada e apresenta um tempo de comercialização muito curto devido a ser um fruto altamente perecível. Técnicas de conservação pós-colheita são essenciais para manter a qualidade da cereja até serem consumidas. Baixas temperaturas são utilizadas para retardar o processo de deterioração da fruta e como complemento a aplicação de atmosferas controladas permite retardar o processo de amadurecimento e envelhecimento. A diminuição de oxigénio e o aumento de dióxido de carbono e azoto inibe o amadurecimento, mantendo o sabor e a qualidade da fruta.
Neste trabalho experimental, cerejas da cultivar Satin foram conservadas em câmaras de refrigeração no produtor e nas instalações do CATAA com equipamento de atmosferas controladas. Quatro atmosferas controladas com diferentes combinações de oxigénio e dióxido de carbono foram testadas e o seu efeito na qualidade das cerejas foi avaliado. Ao longo do tempo de conservação as cerejas foram analisadas a diferentes níveis: qualidade (peso, dureza, cor e sólidos solúveis totais), microbiológico e organolético.
Os resultados de temperatura e humidade no produtor e no CATAA, foram comparados e indicam que ambas as situações apresentam ótimas condições de conservação. No entanto, complementar a conservação com atmosferas controladas sugere que a qualidade da cereja é mantida por mais tempo, através da minimização do envelhecimento e processo de amadurecimento.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

A cerejeira (Prunus avium L.) é uma espécie pertencente à subfamília das Prunóideas e a produção de cereja apresenta elevada importância económica na região
da Beira Interior, que, embora não seja a região com maior área de produção é a principal região de produção de Portugal. A cereja apresenta um elevado teor de
compostos bioativos como vitamina C, fibra, antocianinas, quercetina e carotenóides relacionados com a prevenção de doenças cardiovasculares, diabetes e cancro
(McCune et al., 2011; Wang et al., 2016). No entanto, este fruto não climatérico deteriora-se rapidamente após a colheita apresentando alterações na cor da pele,
acastanhamento do pedúnculo, desidratação, amolecimento da polpa, diminuição da acidez e apodrecimento (Dugan & Roberts, 1997; Wang et al., 2016). A
refrigeração, combinada com a utilização de atmosferas controladas, visa o atraso da deterioração e o consequente prolongamento da vida útil alargando o período
de oferta. Esta técnica consiste no armazenamento a baixa temperatura num ambiente com uma concentração elevada de CO2, uma concentração baixa de O2 e
uma humidade relativa elevada (Andrade et al., 2019). Os valores indicados na bibliografia relativos à concentração de CO2 variam entre 5% e 20% (Gross et al.,

Influenza virus type/subtype and different infection profiles by age group during 2017/2018 season
DDI-INSA em colaboração com a Rede Portuguesa de Laboratórios para o Diagnóstico da GripeBackground: Influenza has a major impact in hospitalization during each influenza season. We analysed the influenza type/subtype distribution by age group and medical care wards (ambulatory, hospital, intensive care unit).
Material and Methods: During 2017/2018 season, 14 hospitals from Portugal mainland and Atlantic Island (Azores and Madeira) reported to the National Influenza Centre 13747 cases of respiratory infection, all tested for influenza type and/or subtype. Epidemiological data: age, sample collection, hospital dwelling service and patient outcome were reported.
Results: From the 13747 reported cases, 3717(27%) were influenza positive of which 2033 (55%) were influenza B, 722 (19%) A unsubtyped, 505 (14%) AH3, 442 (12%) AH1pdm09 and 15(0,1%) mixed infections. Influenza A was detected in 71% (204/208) of toddlers(<5 years) although in the remaining age groups influenza B was detected in more than 50% of the confirmed flu cases. Influenza B was the predominant virus in hospitalized and ICU influenza cases between 5-14 years (69% and 75%, respectively) and played a major role in elderly (65+ years) hospitalized and ICU cases(57% and 67%, respectively). AH1pdm09 virus was detected in 30% of the influenza confirmed ICU patients, 2.1 times more than in hospitalized cases in other wards and 3.3 times more than influenza AH1pdm09 cases in ambulatory care. Influenza mixed infection were detected sporadically,mainly in hospitalized and ICU patients. From 2080 known outcomes, 40(1.9%) patients deceased, influenza was confirmed in 11(28%) of these cases.
Conclusions: Cocirculation of different influenza virus type/subtype may indicate different infection profiles by age groups and should guide influenza preventive/treatment measures.N/
SARS-CoV-2 introductions and early dynamics of the epidemic in Portugal
Genomic surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 in Portugal was rapidly implemented by
the National Institute of Health in the early stages of the COVID-19 epidemic, in collaboration
with more than 50 laboratories distributed nationwide.
Methods By applying recent phylodynamic models that allow integration of individual-based
travel history, we reconstructed and characterized the spatio-temporal dynamics of SARSCoV-2 introductions and early dissemination in Portugal.
Results We detected at least 277 independent SARS-CoV-2 introductions, mostly from
European countries (namely the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, and Switzerland),
which were consistent with the countries with the highest connectivity with Portugal.
Although most introductions were estimated to have occurred during early March 2020, it is
likely that SARS-CoV-2 was silently circulating in Portugal throughout February, before the
first cases were confirmed.
Conclusions Here we conclude that the earlier implementation of measures could have
minimized the number of introductions and subsequent virus expansion in Portugal. This
study lays the foundation for genomic epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 in Portugal, and highlights the need for systematic and geographically-representative genomic surveillance.We gratefully acknowledge to Sara Hill and Nuno Faria (University of Oxford) and

ATLANTIC EPIPHYTES: a data set of vascular and non-vascular epiphyte plants and lichens from the Atlantic Forest
Epiphytes are hyper-diverse and one of the frequently undervalued life forms in plant surveys and biodiversity inventories. Epiphytes of the Atlantic Forest, one of the most endangered ecosystems in the world, have high endemism and radiated recently in the Pliocene. We aimed to (1) compile an extensive Atlantic Forest data set on vascular, non-vascular plants (including hemiepiphytes), and lichen epiphyte species occurrence and abundance; (2) describe the epiphyte distribution in the Atlantic Forest, in order to indicate future sampling efforts. Our work presents the first epiphyte data set with information on abundance and occurrence of epiphyte phorophyte species. All data compiled here come from three main sources provided by the authors: published sources (comprising peer-reviewed articles, books, and theses), unpublished data, and herbarium data. We compiled a data set composed of 2,095 species, from 89,270 holo/hemiepiphyte records, in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, recorded from 1824 to early 2018. Most of the records were from qualitative data (occurrence only, 88%), well distributed throughout the Atlantic Forest. For quantitative records, the most common sampling method was individual trees (71%), followed by plot sampling (19%), and transect sampling (10%). Angiosperms (81%) were the most frequently registered group, and Bromeliaceae and Orchidaceae were the families with the greatest number of records (27,272 and 21,945, respectively). Ferns and Lycophytes presented fewer records than Angiosperms, and Polypodiaceae were the most recorded family, and more concentrated in the Southern and Southeastern regions. Data on non-vascular plants and lichens were scarce, with a few disjunct records concentrated in the Northeastern region of the Atlantic Forest. For all non-vascular plant records, Lejeuneaceae, a family of liverworts, was the most recorded family. We hope that our effort to organize scattered epiphyte data help advance the knowledge of epiphyte ecology, as well as our understanding of macroecological and biogeographical patterns in the Atlantic Forest.
