Design of a test platform for studying radiation effects on SPI FRAM and I² C CMOS non-volatile memories

Electronic components are often exposed to external radiation that may interfere with their normal operation. This becomes particularly relevant for high-scale of integration parts and when said components are used in harsh environments such as in satellites and space ships, aviation, military applications or in heavy and automotive industries. Several design and construction techniques have been developed to overcome, or at least minimize, the impact of external factors on electronic components, so ESD (Electro-Static Discharge), EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) or RFI (Radio-Frequency Interference) protection is usually built-in into mission-critical electronic components like microcontrollers, FPGAs or memory chips. The Computer Architecture Department at FDI is carrying out the READAR-II project with the aim of developing techniques to improve the resistance of different types of components used in space missions. In particular, and as a first step, the study on semiconductor-based memories. This BSc. Thesis goal lies within the READAR-II research project objective and focuses on building a test platform to evaluate the radiation effects on non-volatile memories

Análisis de las publicaciones de investigadores del Subsistema de la Investigación Científica de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México 1981-2003

Se presenta una visión general de las redes de académicos construidas por medio del análisis de sus artículos científicos, indizados por la empresa Thomson Reuters (antes ISI Thomson). Se presentan los resultados más importantes relacionados con la estructura de las colaboraciones científicas entre académicos de la UNAM, el Subsistema de la Investigación Científica (SIC) y diversas entidades académicas nacionales que no forman parte de ninguna entidad de la UNAM. Se analiza la interacción de las entidades académicas del Subsistema, así como las interacciones entre los diversos subsistemas: subsistema de la investigación científica (SIC), subsistema de humanidades (SH), subsistema de Facultades y Escuelas (SFE) y el correspondiente de la Secretaría General (SSG). La base de datos analizada comprende 71 878 artículos de México, indizados por ISI Thomson, de los cuales 38% corresponden al SIC. Los artículos que contiene la base están fechados entre 1981 y 2003.A general academic networks view is presented. This network has been build from the author's interaction through their scientific papers, indexed by Thomson Reuters (previously ISI Thomson). Accent is place in the interaction of main academic subsystems: Scientific Research; Schools and Faculties; Humanities Research and General Secretary Office. The data base under analysis encompass 71878 papers with one Mexico's coauthor at least, all papers are indexed by ISI Thomson. Papers publication date goes from 1981 to 2003

Redes variables en el tiempo: visualización con Pajek

Un tema de interés en el análisis de redes es el relacionado con la ocurrencia de cambios en una red. Nos interesa saber que pasa cuando se establecen nuevas relaciones entre los actores; cuando se rompen algunas de ellas; cuando se incluyen otros actores; cuando se excluye o cuando sale de la red un actor. También nos interesa conocer los cambios que ocurren en la red en el transcurso del tiempo y el significado de estos cambios. En este ensayo mostramos la potencialidad del uso de Pajek en el análisis de redes variables en el tiempo, para ello nos referiremos a la parte del análisis funcional de la red de poder mexicana que hacen Schmidt y Gil-Mendieta (2002), donde analizan a 37 personajes de la vida política de México desde el año de 1920 hasta el año de 1990, haciendo cortes cada diez años.Our interest is to analyse a network trough time, how new relationships, new actors, the exclusion of actors, the exclusion of relationships impact the network from one period to another. This paper is based in the work of Schmidt and Gil (2002), where they analyse 37 Mexican political actors from 1920 to 1990, we use Pajek in order to visualize the network in periods of ten years

On the revocation of malicious users in anonymous and non-traceable VANETs

For the proper performance of Vehicular Ad-hoc NETworks (VANETs) it is essential to protect the service against malicious nodes aiming at disrupting the proper operation by injecting fake, invalid data into the network. It is common to define a traditional identity-based authentication for vehicles, which are loaded with individual credentials. However, the use of these credentials in VANETs may allow vehicle tracking and thus violate users’ privacy, a risk that can be overcome by means of anonymity schemes. This comes at the expenses, however, of on the one hand preventing VANET authorities from identifying malicious users and revoking them from the network, or on the other hand to avoid anonymity of users in front of the CA thus to allow their revocation. Influence of COVID on the Educational Use of Social Media by Students of Teaching Degrees

The situation caused by SARS-CoV-2 has resulted in the intensive use of technology in all fields, including education and interactions between students. This research seeks to identify changes in the way social media have been used for educational purposes by students of teaching degrees both before and after lockdown. Based on an online survey administered to a sample of 524 students from different Spanish universities in which it has been observed how their use has generally been very similar, although significant differences have been detected according to the kind of university. In this capacity, the use of social media for academic purposes has increased in universities offering traditional classroom based courses, while it has remained the same in virtual universities which, due to their particular idiosyncrasies, have not been directly affected

Efectos de la inversión extranjera directa sobre el crecimiento económico en Colombia: evidencia empírica 2000-2010

In this article the effect of FDI on economic growth in Colombia is analyzed, and shown that these flows caused effects, both direct and indirect, in the national economy between 2000-2010. Thus, the econometric exercise was possible to deduce that affect FDI flows and moderately positive growth of the Colombian economy, and this led to the conclusion that given the conditions of the national economy and the global economic climate in this period, FDI contributed to percentage increase in GDP, in the same way, to deepen the aggregate and sectoral economic times it brings.En este artículo se analiza el efecto de la inversión extranjera directa sobre el crecimiento económico en Colombia, y se muestra que estos flujos causaron efectos, tanto directos como indirectos, en la economía nacional entre el periodo 2000-2010. Así, con el ejercicio econométrico fue posible deducir que los flujos de IED afectaron positiva y moderadamente el crecimiento de la economía Colombiana, y esto permitió concluir que dadas las condiciones de la economía nacional y del clima económico mundial en este periodo, la IED contribuyó al incremento porcentual del PIB y, de la misma manera, a profundizar las coyunturas económicas agregadas y sectoriales que esta trae consigo

La importancia del recreo escolar en la Actividad Física de los y las adolescentes

This end-of-master project show the incidence of physical activity (AF) in the recess periods at school, as well as the impact of this period on the healthy development of students and their process of creation and development at an integral level. To verify this improvement, we used a multi-method approach as a methodological strategy in that we were combined quantitative data (questionnaire ad hoc and observation) and qualitative data (focal group). For this process, information was collected during a week at the school and after an intervention with the focus group and the questionnaires, the motor behavior of the students was re-analyzed during the recess periods one week more. Results: Although it was a punctual experience and short temporarily, the results indicate there have been differences in the performance of AF by the students, finding important differences in the practice of boys and girls. The materials and weather conditions have been found as the main barriers to practice AF.Este trabajo de fin de máster presenta la incidencia de la Actividad Física (AF) en los periodos de recreo de un centro escolar, así como la incidencia de este periodo en el desarrollo saludable del alumnado y en su proceso de creación y desarrollo a nivel integral. Para constatar esta mejora, se utilizó un enfoque multimétodo como estrategia metodológica en el cual se combinaron datos cuantitativos (cuestionario ad hoc y observación) y datos cualitativos (grupo focal). Para ello se recogió información durante una semana en el centro y tras una intervención con el grupo focal y los cuestionarios se volvió a analizar el comportamiento motor del alumnado en los periodos de recreo. Resultados: aunque se ha tratado de una experiencia puntual y corta temporalmente, los resultados apuntan que se han observado diferencias en la realización de AF por el alumnado, encontrando importantes diferencias en cuanto a la práctica de los chicos y las chicas. Como principales barreras de realización de AF se han encontrado los materiales y las condiciones climatológicas

Desarrollo de una aplicación de demostración pick&place con un robot industrial

[EN] In this Master's Thesis, it has been developed the entire process of creating a demonstration of an industrial robotic application, specifically designed for the industrial bakery subsector, within the agro-food sector, but could be extrapolated to multiple industrial sectors where it could be necessary to make a classification of the objects that enter the production lines available downstream from the location of the robot used. This application aims to focus and demonstrate the great possibilities that incorporate the use of robotics and automation in the industrial manipulation sector, currently performed in a large proportion by human workers, implying a high risk of possibility of food contamination by contact. The introduction of robotics not only corrects this aspect but also enables a more efficient and flexible production, since many more data on the state of the products can be obtained thanks to the sensors incorporated in the production chain. Even the same system is a method of quality control, since the use of artificial vision cameras can detect the state of the individual product, making food traceability a simple aspect of the production chain. In addition, it allows to reduce considerably the risks of work accident, since the robots can carry out repetitive actions and dangerous for the operators. The project is focused on the creation of a hamburger breading application for the brand Dulcesol (collaborator of the Institute of Automatic and Industrial Informatics), allowing with it the voluntary choice, both instantaneous and programmed in time, of the percentage of product that passes on each side of the production line. During the course of the project, it has been carried out all the necessary work for the implementation of a robotic application, from the modeling of the tools or grippers used to the demonstration of the application operation within the technical characteristics of the equipment used, through the installation of the necessary equipment and the own programming of the application.En el laboratorio de automatización para el sector alimentario (LASA) del instituto ai2 se desarrollan tecnologías para la manipulación de alimentos en constante colaboración con empresas de nuestro entorno. Para ver el potencial del grupo, resulta necesario poner en valor los acuerdos alcanzados con empresas colaboradoras, que por ejemplo, suministran y ceden diversos equipos. En breve se espera contar con un robot manipulador industrial cedido por la empresa Stäubli y se pretende que el/la alumno/a se encargue de preparar una aplicación de demostración. Las tareas a desarrollar en la tesina serán: - Estudiar la problemática, necesidades y posibilidades de la manipulación robotizada de alimentos - Conocer el equipamiento y aprender su operación y programación - Diseñar la aplicación de demostración - Estudiar el layout más adecuado - Seleccionar y encargarse de la adquisición de los componentes necesarios - Programar la aplicación - Preparar su puesta a punto. Redes dinámicas Neo-artesanales. Aplicaciones de la teoría de redes sociales para el estudio del arte popular en México

El arte popular en México enfrenta grandes desafíos en relación al comercio desleal internacional. La cultura material como la conocemos y con ella tradiciones culturales, materiales y tradiciones centenarias o milenarias, corren el riesgo de desdibujarse de nuestra vida cotidiana e imaginario colectivo y personal. Algunas instituciones dan los primeros pasos en la construcción de bases de datos que permitan contar con un padrón de artesanos. De manera aislada o en pequeños grupos investigadores interesados en el tema aportan sus conocimientos en busca de diversas soluciones del problema. Creemos que la solución del problema necesariamente pasa por la construcción de una red de académicos, que funcionara como un poderoso instrumento de planeación en el diseño eficaz de un plan nacional de preservación de nuestros valores intangibles, de nuestra muy rica y variada cultura material y de nuestros artesanos y sus conocimientos.Popular art in Mexico faces great challenges with disloyal international trade.
