Microbiota cérvico-vaginal de ovelhas mestiças e sua susceptibilidade aos antibióticos

No full text

Determination of the quark coupling strength vertical bar V-ub vertical bar using baryonic decays

No full text
In the Standard Model of particle physics, the strength of the couplings of the b quark to the u and c quarks, vertical bar V-ub vertical bar and vertical bar V-ub vertical bar, are governed by the coupling of the quarks to the Higgs boson. Using data from the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, the probability for the Lambda(0)(b) baryon to decay into the p mu(-)(nu) over bar (mu) final state relative to the Lambda(+)(c)mu(-)(nu) over bar (mu) final state is measured. Combined with theoretical calculations of the strong interaction and a previously measured value of vertical bar V-ub vertical bar, the first vertical bar V-ub vertical bar measurement to use a baryonic decay is performed. This measurement is consistent with previous determinations of vertical bar V-ub vertical bar using B meson decays to specific final states and confirms the existing incompatibility with those using an inclusive sample of final states

Using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb−1, collected by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, the effective lifetime in the Bs 0→J/ψη decay mode, τeff, is measured to beτeff=1.479±0.034 (stat)±0.011 (syst) ps. Assuming CP conservation, τeff corresponds to the lifetime of the light Bs 0 mass eigenstate. This is the first measurement of the effective lifetime in this decay mode

The observation of the decay 㧫 12→J/\u3c8\u39bK 12 is reported, using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3fb 121, collected by the LHCb detector in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8TeV. The production rate of 㧫 12 baryons detected in the decay 㧫 12→J/\u3c8\u39bK 12 is measured relative to that of 㦻0 baryons using the decay 㦻0→J/\u3c8\u39b. Integrated over the b-baryon transverse momentum pT<25GeV/c and rapidity 2.0<4.5, the measured ratio is [Formula presented][Formula presented]=(4.19\ub10.29 (stat)\ub10.15 (syst)) 710 122, where f\u39ejavax.xml.bind.JAXBElement@67eb61c6javax.xml.bind.JAXBElement@119b9f1d and f\u39bjavax.xml.bind.JAXBElement@129b214cjavax.xml.bind.JAXBElement@3a65d854 are the fragmentation fractions of b→㧫 12 and b→㦻0 transitions, and B represents the branching fraction of the corresponding b-baryon decay. The mass difference between 㧫 12 and 㦻0 baryons is measured to be M(㧫 12) 12M(㦻0)=177.08\ub10.47 (stat)\ub10.16 (syst)MeV/c2

Observation of B-c(+) -> (DK+)-K-0 Decays

sing proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1), recorded by the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, the B-c(+) -> (DK+)-K-0 decay is observed with a statistical significance of 5.1 standard deviations. By normalizing to B-c(+) -> (D) over bar (0)pi(+) decays, a measurement of the branching fraction multiplied by the production rates for B-c(+) relative to B+ mesons in the LHCb acceptance is obtained, R-D0K = (f(c)/f(u)) x B(B-c(+) -> (DK+)-K-0) = (9.3(-2.5)(+2.8) +/- 0.6) x 10(-7), where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. This decay is expected to proceed predominantly through weak annihilation and penguin amplitudes, and is the first B-c(+) decay of this nature to be observed

First Experimental Study of Photon Polarization in Radiative B-s(0) Decays

Get PDF
The polarization of photons produced in radiative B-s(0) decays is studied for the first time. The data are recorded by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1) at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8 TeV. A time-dependent analysis of the B-s(0) ->phi gamma decay rate is conducted to determine the parameter A(Delta) which is related to the ratio of right-over left-handed photon polarization amplitudes in b -> s gamma transitions. A value of A(Delta) = -0.98(-0.52)(-0.20)(+0.46)(+0.23) is measured. This result is consistent with the standard model prediction within 2 standard deviations

Observation of the Decay Xi(-)(b) -> pK(-)K(-)

Get PDF
Decays of the Xi(-)(b) and Omega(-)(b) baryons to the charmless final states ph(-)h'(-), where h((')) denotes a kaon or pion, are searched for with the LHCb detector. The analysis is based on a sample of proton-proton collision data collected at center-of-mass energies root s = 7 and 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1). The decay Xi(-)(b) -> pK(-)K(-) is observed with a significance of 8.7 standard deviations, and evidence at the level of 3.4 standard deviations is found for the Xi(-)(b) -> pK(-)pi(-) decay. Results are reported, relative to the B- -> K+K-K- normalization channel, for the products of branching fractions and b-hadron production fractions. The branching fractions of Xi(-)(b) -> pK(-)pi(-) and Xi(-)(b) -> p pi(-)pi(-) relative to Xi(-)(b) -> pK(-)K(-) decays are also measured
