Pattern transfer fidelity in capillary force lithography with poly(ferrocenylsilane) plasma etch resists

The influence of processing conditions and polymer architecture on pattern transfer in capillary force lithography (CFL) using poly(ferrocenylsilane) etch resists is investigated. Zero-shear-rate viscosities measured at different temperatures and for polymers with different molar masses are related to the quality of CFL patterns, assessed based on atomic force microscopy experiments. An optimal range of viscosities corresponding to appropriate molar masses and processing temperatures is established. In this range, polymers possess enough mobility allowing for reasonably quick surface pattern formation. Yet, the polymers are not too mobile and preserve their shape when quenched to below Tg prior to serving as etch resist masks

A técnica de julgamento ampliado à luz do princípio do contraditório

This research seeks to analyze the observance of constitutional principles, especially the adversarial procedure, by the technique of extended trial, following the inductive method, with bibliographic analysis. This technique applies to appeals, rescissory actions and interlocutory appeals, but does not apply to the incidents of assumption of jurisdiction and the resolution of repetitive claims, in addition to the necessary remittance and in judgments rendered by the plenary or special courts. Therefore, the application of the technique and the guarantee of oral argument will depend on each court's internal rules, provided they observe the constitutional principles. Thus, in order to avoid discussions on violations of constitutional principles, especially of the adversary principle, the parties and any third parties must always be guaranteed the possibility of oral argument, with the aim of influencing the judges to render an impartial decision.A presente pesquisa busca analisar a observância dos princípios constitucionais, principalmente do contraditório, pela técnica de julgamento ampliado, seguindo o método indutivo, com análise bibliográfica. Referida técnica aplica-se nos recursos de apelação, ação rescisória e no agravo de instrumento, mas não se aplica aos incidentes de assunção de competência e ao de resolução de demandas repetitivas, além da remessa necessária e nos julgamentos proferidos pelo plenário ou corte-especial. Portanto, a aplicação da técnica e a garantia da sustentação oral vai depender do regimento interno de cada tribunal, desde que observe os princípios constitucionais. Assim, de modo a evitar discussões sobre violações dos princípios constitucionais, em especial do contraditório, deve-se sempre garantir às partes e a eventuais terceiros a possibilidade da realização de sustentação oral, com o objetivo de influenciar os julgadores a proferirem uma decisão imparcial

Expanding the scope of the crystallization-driven self-assembly of polylactide-containing polymers

We report the crystallization-driven self-assembly of diblock copolymers bearing a poly(L-lactide) block into cylindrical micelles. Three different hydrophilic corona-forming blocks have been employed: poly(4-acryloyl morpholine) (P4AM), poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and poly(N,N-dimethylacrylamide) (PDMA). Optimization of the experimental conditions to improve the dispersities of the resultant cylinders through variation of the solvent ratio, the polymer concentration, and the addition speed of the selective solvent is reported. The last parameter has been shown to play a crucial role in the homogeneity of the initial solution, which leads to a pure cylindrical phase with a narrow distribution of length. The hydrophilic characters of the polymers have been shown to direct the length of the resultant cylinders, with the most hydrophilic corona block leading to the shortest cylinders
