Scan matching by cross-correlation and differential evolution

Scan matching is an important task, solved in the context of many high-level problems including pose estimation, indoor localization, simultaneous localization and mapping and others. Methods that are accurate and adaptive and at the same time computationally efficient are required to enable location-based services in autonomous mobile devices. Such devices usually have a wide range of high-resolution sensors but only a limited processing power and constrained energy supply. This work introduces a novel high-level scan matching strategy that uses a combination of two advanced algorithms recently used in this field: cross-correlation and differential evolution. The cross-correlation between two laser range scans is used as an efficient measure of scan alignment and the differential evolution algorithm is used to search for the parameters of a transformation that aligns the scans. The proposed method was experimentally validated and showed good ability to match laser range scans taken shortly after each other and an excellent ability to match laser range scans taken with longer time intervals between them.Web of Science88art. no. 85

Technical Audit of Public Water Supply

Diplomová práce se zabývá technickým auditem veřejného vodovodu. První část je věnována současnému stavu problematiky v České republice a v zahraničí. Dále jsou v práci popsány metodiky vytvořené na ÚVHO FAST Brno, které slouží k hodnocení technického stavu vybraných částí vodovodní infrastruktury. V praktické části diplomové práce použita aplikace TEA Water pro zpracování technického auditu vodovodu brněnských vodáren a kanalizací a. s.Thesis deals with the technical audit of public water supply. The first part is devoted to the current state of the problem in the Czech Republic and abroad. The thesis describes the methodology developed by ÚVHO FAST Brno, which is used to evaluate technical condition of selected parts of the water supply infrastructure. In the practical part of the thesis, the aplication TEA Water is used in the preparation of a technical audit for the part of the water supply of Brno.

Physical Security in an Industrial Company

Práce je zaměřena na řešení fyzické bezpečnosti organizace působící v segmentu metalurgie. V analytické části jsou identifikovány nedostatky v jednotlivých oblastech fyzické bezpečnosti dle norem ČSN ISO/IEC řady 27 000. Návrhová část je shodně rozčleněna do jednotlivých kapitol obsahujících doporučení k modernizaci, nápravě nedostatků či úpravám systémů. Náplní teoretické části je zejména objasnění pojmů a postupů užitých v návrhu. Hlavní přínos práce spatřuji v návrhu změn, po jejichž správné realizaci bude fyzická bezpečnost podniku na vysoké úrovni.The diploma thesis focuses on physical security solutions in an organization acting in a metallurgy segment. The analytical part identifies the weaknesses in individual areas of physical security according to ČSN/ISO 27 000 regulation. The practical part is divided into individual chapters bringing suggestions for corrections, modernization and modifications of the system. The theoretical part deals mainly with clarification of the terminology and proceses used in the practical part. I see the benefit of my work in the practical suggestions for the changes. If they are implemented correctly, the physical security of the organization will be of high quality.

Práce se zabývá analýzou stávající metodologie implementace IS a vytvořením nové efektivnější metodiky zabraňující opakování identifikovaných nedostatků. I přes různorodost jednotlivých zákazníků a jejich požadavků při zavádění a úpravách IS, je nutné k tvorbě projektů přistupovat procesně. Implementační metodologie je tedy definována popisem jednotlivých procesů zavedení IS.The Master thesis deals with the analyzing of the actual metodology of information system (thereinafter IS) implementation and the creation of a new more effective methodology that would prevent the repetition of the indentified deficiency. Despite the diversity of individual customers and their requests concerning the IS implementation and modification, it is necessary to apply the procedural approach during the generation of projects. The implementation methodolgy is thus defined by the description of the particular processes of IS implementation.

Information system for a Project Management

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vytvoření informačního systému pro řízení projektů pro společnost zabývající se vývojem software na zakázku. Hlavní část systému je vytvořen jako desktopová aplikace, další části jsou ve formě webové aplikace a webové služby. Systém využívá .NET Framework, WPF a .NET Core MVC technologie. Import 22/07/2015Diplomová práce je rozdělena na dvě části – teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část se zabývá spokojeností zaměstnanců a aspekty, které se spokojeností souvisí. Je zde vymezen pojem spokojenost zaměstnanců a rozebrány faktory, které tuto spokojenost ovlivňují. Dále je teoretická část zaměřena na personální řízení, motivaci a hodnocení pracovníků. V praktické části se věnujeme společnosti, ve které byl výzkum realizován a je zde obsažen samotný výzkum, vyhodnocení a interpretace získaných dat. Influence of transformer lamination from amorphous steel on permeability disturbance by transformers

Vliv plechů z amorfní oceli na prostupnost rušení transformátory Tato diplomová práce zachycuje rozdíl mezi současně používanými materiály a amorfními plechy, sloužící jako jádra transformátorů. Testování zkušebních vzorků probíhá při frekvenci 50-2500Hz. Měřením pak získáme materiálové charakteristiky a vyhodnotíme jejich průběh na zpětné působení na síť.Influence of transformer lamination from amorphous steel on permeability disturbance by transformer This diploma work is about difference between current materials and amorphous plates which are used as pivots of transformers. Samples are tested by frequence 50-2500 Hz. By using more suitable materials we avoid the unallowable electromagnetic interruption better and we get more positive continuance of the retroactivity on the net.

Novel point-to-point scan matching algorithm based on cross-correlation

The localization of mobile robots in outdoor and indoor environments is a complex issue. Many sophisticated approaches, based on various types of sensory inputs and different computational concepts, are used to accomplish this task. However, many of the most efficient methods for mobile robot localization suffer from high computational costs and/or the need for high resolution sensory inputs. Scan cross-correlation is a traditional approach that can be, in special cases, used to match temporally aligned scans of robot environment. This work proposes a set of novel modifications to the cross-correlation method that extend its capability beyond these special cases to general scan matching and mitigate its computational costs so that it is usable in practical settings.
