    Evaluating Instrument Quality: Rasch Model – Analyses of Post Test of Curriculum 2013 Training

    The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the quality of post test utilized by LPMP Central Kalimantan Indonesia in curriculum 2013 training for X grade teachers. It uses Rasch analysis to explore the item fit, the reliability ( item and person), item difficulty, and the Wrigh map of post test. This study also applies Classical Test Teory (CTT) to determine item discrimination and distracters. Following a series of iterative Rasch analyses that adopted the “data should fit the model” approach, 30 items post test of curriculum 2013 training was analyzed using Acer Conquest 4 software, software based on Rasch measurement model. All items of post test of curriculum 2013 training are sufficient fit to the Rasch model. The difficulty levels (i.e. item measures) for the 30 items range from –1.746 logits to +1.861 logits. The item separation reliability is acceptable at 0.990 and person separation reliability is low at 0.485. The wright map indicates that the test is difficult for the teachers or the teachers have low ability in knowledge of curriculum 2013. The post test items cannot cover all the ranges of the teachers\u27 ability levels. Items discrimination of post test of curriculum 2013 training grouped into fair discrimination (item 2, 4, 5, 8, 11, 18) and poor discrimination (1, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10,12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30). Some distracters from item 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29 and 30 are problematic.     GDIF and DDIF analysis for posttest instrument of curriculum 2013 training

    The objective of this study was to analyze Gender Differential Item Functioning (GDIF) and District Differential Item Functioning (DDIF) in the post-test instrument of curriculum 2013 training in Central Kalimantan Indonesia. Data were secondary from Educational Quality Assurance Institution Central Kalimantan, which includes responses of 665 tenth grade teachers (414 females and 251 males; and 395 teachers from the new district and 269 teachers from the old district in Central Kalimantan Indonesia). The performed analysis of Differential Item Functioning (DIF) was applied to 30 multiple-choice items based on the Rasch model of Item Response Theory (IRT) using Conquest 4 software. The results showed that two items (item25 and item 30) exhibited gender-related DIF and five items ( item 6, item15, item 22, item 24, and item 26) indicated district-related DIF. Female teachers tend to perform relatively better on analyzing a learning activity item. Otherwise, the concept of curriculum 2013 learning outcome (indicators of competence achievement) item to be relatively harder for female teachers. New district teachers tend to perform relatively better on lesson plan of curriculum 2013 and knowledge assessment (than old district teachers). The development of learning materials integrated with local content and the concept of competence for the attitude dimension of the learning process items seem to be relatively harder for new district teachers (than old district teachers).     Feasibility Analyses of Integrated Broiler Production

    The major obstacles in the development of broiler raising is the expensive price of feed and the fluctuative price of DOCs. The cheap price of imported leg quarters reduces the competitiveness of the local broilers. Therefore, an effort to increase production efficiency is needed through integration between broiler raising and corn farmers and feed producers (integrated farming). The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of integrating broiler raising with corn cultivation and feed production. Besides that, a simulation was conducted to analyze the effects of DOC price changes, broiler price and production capacity. The analyses showed that integrated farming and a mere combination between broiler raising and feed factory of a 10,000 bird capacity is not financially feasible. Increasing the production to 25,000 broiler chickens will make the integrated farming financially feasible. Unintegrated broiler raising is relatively sensitive to broiler price decreases and DOC price increases compared to integrated farming

    Implementation the international financial reporting standards as a moderating variable of the relationship of corporate governance with earnings management

    In general, this research is aimed at providing empirical evidence concerning the analysis of the adoption of IFRS as a moderating variable in the relation of corporate governance with earnings management. In particular, there are two objectives in this research, first, to provide empirical evidence concerning the analysis of the adoption of IFRS as a moderating variable in the relation between the independent of commissioners to the number of board of commissioners and earnings management; second, to analyze the adoption of IFRS as a moderating variable in the relation between the dual position audit committee members and earnings management. The research was conducted on companies listed on the Stock Exchanges of Germany, Denmark, France, and the Netherlands from 2002 to 2013. It primarily employed agency theory. Moreover, it employed primary variables including adoption of IFRS, corporate governance, in particular the proportion of independent commissioners to the board of commissioners, dual positions of audit committee members and earnings management. The test results in this research conclude that: the results of testing of the model of accrual earnings management with the samples of companies listed on the stock exchanges of Germany, France, the Netherlands and Denmark indicated that the adoption of IFRS strengthened negative relation of the proportion of independent commissioners to the number of board of commissioners with accruals earnings management, so that the hypothesis 1 was acceptable. The hypothesis 2 stating the adoption of IFRS strengthen negative relation between the multi position of audit committee members and accrual earnings management was acceptable.peer-reviewe

    JAMIYAH KOMALASARI, Upaya Meningkatkan Pemahaman Peserta Didik Dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris Dengan Model Pembelajaran Aktif Melalui Media Gambar Pada Materi Part of Body Kelas IV SDN 1 Wargabinangun Kecamatan Kaliwedi Kabupaten Cirebon. Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di SDN 1 Wargabinangun Kecamatan Kaliwedi Kabupaten Cirebon masih memprihatinkan. Terkadang siswa kesulitan dalam mengucapkan kosa-kata, apalagi berbicara dengan baik di depan kelas. Sehingga diperlukan kreativitas guru untuk menemukan metode yang tepat agar siswa mampu berbicara bahasa Inggris dengan baik dan benar. Tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah: (a) Untuk mengetahui upaya guru dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, (b) Untuk mengetahui aktivitas belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris melalui media gambar, dan (c) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan model pembelajaran aktif melalui media gambar. Dengan penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif, maka seorang peserta didik akan selalu terlibat secara aktif dalam pembelajaran, sehingga dengan keaktifan ini, materi yang dijelaskan akan selalu diingat dalam pemikiran peserta didik dan konsep yang harus di kuasai peserta didik akan mudah diterimanya karena pembelajaran aktif adalah pendekatan dalam pembelajaran dimana peserta didik menguasai materi pelajaran yang di pelajarinya melalui membaca, menulis, berbicara, mendengar dan melakukan refleksi. Hal ini sesuai dengan prinsip learning by doing yang menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran akan cepat dikuasai peserta didik dengan peserta didik ikut aktif dalam pembelajaran. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan datanya, yaitu : (a) observasi, digunakan untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa, (b) Wawancara, digunakan untuk mengetahui keadaan siswa pra siklus, (c) tes, digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa, dan (d) Studi Pustaka, digunakan untuk mendapatkan data dari dokumen-dokumen yang diperlukan dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah, aktivitas peserta didik pada siklus I 53,4%, pada siklus II 71%, serta pada siklus III 79%. Nilai rata-rata dalam siklus I mencapai nilai 52,98 dan nilai rata-rata pada siklus II mencapai 57,14 serta nilai rata-rata pada siklus III mencapai nilai 61,31. Sedangkan nilai ketuntasan klasikal pada siklus I 28,57%, pada siklus II 42,85% dan pada siklus III 64,28%

    HUBUNGAN ANTARA KONSEP DIRI DENGAN PERFORMANSI KERJA KARYAWAN PRIBUMI PADA PERUSAHAAN ASING

    Setiap karyawan memiliki performansi kerja yang beragam. Performansi kerja karyawan asing dianggap lebih tinggi daripada karyawan pribumi, kondisi inilah yang menjadi salah satu permasalahan serius di bidang ketenagakerjaan, khususnya dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia Indonesia. Performansi kerja karyawan pribumi pada perusahaan asing dapat dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, salah satunya adalah konsep diri. Di sisi lain, karyawan pribumi yang bekerja pada perusahaan asing sering mengalami kesulitan dalam beradaptasi dengan sistem organisasi, peraturan, kebijakan, budaya, bahasa, dan kebiasaan yang berbeda. Sehingga akan mempengaruhi perkembangan konsep diri para karyawan pribumi. Seorang karyawan pribumi pada perusahaan asing dapat meningkatkan performansi kerja dengan mengembangkan perannya dalam perusahaan. Namun, performansi kerja dapat menurun karena kurang mampu dalam beradaptasi dengan lingkungan kerjanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsep diri dengan performansi kerja karyawan pribumi pada perusahaan asing. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah ada hubungan positif antara konsep diri dengan performansi kerja karyawan pribumi pada perusahaan asing. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 60 karyawan yang bekerja di PT. Hanil Indonesia minimal 5 tahun, bekerja di bagian general affair PT. Hanil Indonesia 2nd & 3rd factory, pendidikan minimal SMA. Alat pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala konsep diri dan dokumentasi penilaian perilaku kerja karyawan PT. Hanil Indonesia. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi product moment dari Pearson. Hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment diperoleh r sebesar 0,646 dengan p ≤ 0,01, yang berarti ada hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara variabel konsep diri dengan performansi kerja. Semakin tinggi konsep diri maka semakin tinggi pula performansi kerja karyawan pribumi pada perusahaan asing. Konsep diri pada subjek penelitian ini tergolong tinggi dan performansi kerja pada subjek penelitian ini juga tergolong tinggi. Sumbangan efektif variabel konsep diri terhadap performansi kerja sebesar 41,7% sehingga masih terdapat 58,3% faktor lain yang mempengaruhi performansi kerja di luar variabel konsep diri
