In the present era newly, unexplained diseases are emerging in the world with unknown pathology which has become challenging to all the physician, scientist and health agencies to deal with such disease to ensure the treatment. Now a physician has to know about its prevention, diagnosis and management. As Ayurveda says, even-though the disease is affecting the whole world with its severity, one need not be afraid of disease if physician is assured of proper medicaments for treatment. Considering this disease is mainly affecting respiratory system and further involves other systems also, which can be correlated with vitiation of Pranavaha Srotas and Rasavaha Srotas in its pathogenesis. So starting with Nidanaparivarjana, Samana and Sodhana is ideal for this condition. We all know that strong immunity is necessary to fight against any kind of foreign bodies or disease. Hence there is a need to approach in improving immunity through Ayurveda by giving Rasayana treatment

The outbreak of novel corona virus provides an opportunity to revisit the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda for its prevention. As there is a severity of novel corona virus is high in global level hence there is a high consciousness in society about healthy living and its prevention. A novel corona virus that emerged in late 2019 and resulting COVID-19 disease, which has been labeled a public health emergency of international concern by the WHO. Now a physician has to know about its prevention, diagnosis and management. As Ayurveda says, even-though the disease is affecting the whole world with its severity, one need not to be afraid of disease if physician is assured of proper medicaments for treatment. Considering this disease is mainly affecting respiratory system and further involves other systems also, which can be correlated with vitiation of Pranavaha Srotas and Rasavaha Srotas in its pathogenesis. So starting with Nidana, Purvaroopa, Roopa, Upasaya and Samprapti the whole COVID-19 disease can be analysed

Now a days lifestyle disorders are challenging issues in front of the world. It is all because of our changed lifestyle. Many researches were conducted already and many are going now to find the solution for the lifestyle disorders. And ultimately all researches results that change in dietary habits, following proper code and conduct for eating food is most effective treatment. And since from thousands of years, Ayurveda believes that Aahar itself is Mahabheshaj[1] for all the disease only when it is properly cooked and consumed according to rules. Proper maintenance of Jatharagni is also mainly depend on proper Aahar only.[2] Traditional way of eating and serving the food plays important role in treatment of these disorders

Applied aspects of Yoga Darshana with special reference to Charaka Samhita

It is said that Ayurveda is itself a Darshana. Hence the ultimate aim of the Ayurveda is same as Darshana i.e. Moksha Prapti. Aachrya Charaka says that “Yogomoksha Pravartaka” it means Yoga is one of the important Marga for Moksha Prapti. The detail description of Yoga is given by Yoga Darshana. Ayurveda and Yoga Darshana will carry lots of similarity in their basic principles. There are many scattered references of applied aspects of Yoga Darshana in Charaka Samhita. The present study will give a glance on these scattered references

Application of Platelet Rich Fibrin and Osseomold Bone Graft in Different Intrabony Defects – 2 Case Reports

ABSTRACT:    Aims & objectives: The motto behind any periodontal treatment is arrest of periodontal disease and regeneration of lost periodontium. Various treatment strategies have been employed in treatment of intrabony defects, but the best way to obtain regeneration is probably by mimicking the actual occurring events that takes place in the formation of the periodontal tissues at embryonic stage. Conventional open flap debridement falls short of regenerating tissues destroyed by the disease and current regenerative procedures offer a limited potential towards attaining complete periodontal regeneration.Platelet rich fibrin (PRF), a second generation platelet concentrate is widely used in osseous regeneration.Case description: The present study aimed to explore the clinical and radiographical effectiveness of autologous PRF along with the osseomold bone graft in treatment of 2 different cases of intrabony defects in chronic periodontics subjects. Conclusion: Among the 2 subjects, case-1 had 2-wall defect and case-2 patient had 3-wall defect. Both the subjects reported to the department with a complaint of food impaction and with clinically accessible >7-8mm pocket.  Pocket depth was assessed at 1st week, 6months and 9months respectively and radio graphically bone gain was accessed at 3 month and 6 months

Design and development of a target-costing model for machining

In today\u27s intensely competitive and highly volatile business environment, consistent development of low cost and high quality products meeting the functionality requirements is a key to a company\u27s survival. Companies continuously strive to reduce the costs while still producing quality products to stay ahead in the competition. Many companies have turned to target costing to achieve this objective. Target costing is a structured approach to determine the cost at which a proposed product, meeting the quality and functionality requirements, must be produced in order to generate the desired profits. It subtracts the desired profit margin from the company\u27s selling price to establish the manufacturing cost of the product. Extensive literature review revealed that companies in automotive, electronic and process industries have reaped the benefits of target costing. However target costing approach has not been applied in the machining industry, but other techniques based on Geometric Programming, Goal Programming, and Lagrange Multiplier have been proposed for application in this industry. These models follow a forward approach, by first selecting a set of machining parameters, and then determining the machining cost. Hence in this study we have developed an algorithm to apply the concepts of target costing, which is a backward approach that selects the machining parameters based on the required machining costs, and is therefore more suitable for practical applications in process improvement and cost reduction. A target costing model was developed for turning operation and was successfully validated using practical data

    Diaphragmatic Palsy

The diaphragm is the primary muscle of respiration, and its weakness can lead to respiratory failure. Diaphragmatic palsy can be caused by various causes. Injury to the phrenic nerve during thoracic surgeries is the most common cause for diaphragmatic palsy. Depending on the cause, the symptoms of diaphragmatic palsies vary from completely asymptomatic to disabling dyspnea requiring mechanical ventilation. On pulmonary function tests, there will be a decrease in the maximum respiratory muscle power. Spirometry shows reduced lung functions and a significant drop of lung function in supine position is typical of diaphragmatic palsy. Diaphragmatic movements with respiration can be directly visualized by fluoroscopic examination. Currently, this test is being replaced by bedside thoracic ultrasound examination, looking at the diaphragmic excursion with deep breathing or sniffing. This test is found to be equally efficient, and without risks of ionizing radiation of fluoroscope. Treatment of diaphragmatic palsy depends on the cause. Surgical approach of repair of diaphragm or nonsurgical approach of noninvasive ventilation has been tried with good success. Overall prognosis of diaphragmatic palsy is good, except when it is related to neuromuscular degeneration conditions
