Controllability and stability capacity of a roll pair motion research

    Get PDF
The process of deriving the equation of the perturbed motion of a roll pair during the processing of leather material is discussed in the article, taking into account the influence of dynamic factors. It is shown that one of the reasons for the unstable stress state on the contact surfaces in the roller mechanism are dynamic factors arising from inaccuracies in the manufacture of its individual parts, assembly defects, and the occurrence of an oscillatory process in the roller mechanism, as well as due to the non-uniform thickness of the processed material at its gripping during starting and stopping the machine. Methods for determining optimal controls are shown; they provide asymptotic stability of the unperturbed motion of a roll pair and the torque applied to the upper roll as a function of generalized coordinates. It is shown that the width of the contact strip of the clamp, which depends on the radii of the rolls and the hardness of the coatings, has a significant effect on the efficiency of the rolls. The larger the shaft radius, the lower the actual pressure per unit contact area. It is shown that the squeezing efficiency increases with the improvement of the conditions for the removal of the squeezable liquid from the rolls (with their horizontal arrangement), with an increase in its temperature and a decrease in viscosity. Efficiency decreases with increasing material speed and thickness. It is shown that the width of the contact strip of the clamp, which depends on the radii of the shafts and the stiffness of the coatings, has a significant impact on the efficiency of the shafts. The larger the shaft radius, the lower the actual pressure per unit contact are

Study of Electrical and Photoelectric Phenomena in Structures Based on Manganese Silicon Contact with Manganese High Silicon Membrane

The physical properties of the manganese silicide layer formed on the silicon surface have been studied. The layer of manganese silicides was obtained by the solid phase reaction method on the silicon surface, in which a very pure manganese metal, a chemically refined monocrystalline silicon surface, was obtained. After the formation of manganese silicides on the surface of silicon, its crystal lattice structure, morphology and phase composition were studied using electron and electron microscope devices, electron microscope JXA-840 and electron microscope XL 30SFED. It has been shown that the formation of a layer of manganese silicon on silicon depends on the dynamic process of stable and unstable conditions

Determination of the Zone of Destruction of Soil and Rock Mass at Explosive Loads

    Get PDF
This paper studies the behavior of grounds and rock mass under explosive loads using a new worked out model of deformation of ground and rock mass accounting structural destruction of grounds. Here mechanical characteristics of grounds are the functions on the degree of structural destruction (on the second invariant of the deviator of deformation). The problem on excitation propagation from hemispherical cavity cut from ground half-space, to the sides of this cavity a load is applied, imitating the action of explosion. The problem is solved numerically - by the method of finite differences according to the scheme offered by Wilkins M.L. Solution of problem defines the dimensions of the craters and outburst ground as well as the zones of destruction of ground and rock mass

Study of Dynamic Bahavior of Ground Dams with Account of Moisture Content Under Seismic Actions

Ground dams as it is well known have a complex geometry and physical non-uniformity. Dams with inner (central) little-water-saturated obstacle in the form of a so-called core which is formed from little-water-saturated clayey soil are more frequent in Central Asia. Slope zones around this core are of water-saturated stone filled soils. Water infiltration, that is moisture content of soil leads to the change of strength parameters of the core material. Stress-strain state of ground dams is studied in this paper with account of moisture content of clayey parts of the dam on seismic action with records of real velosigrams. Dam material is modeled by elastic and elastic-plastic bodies. As this problem is a non-stational one, it is solved by finite-difference method. Based on the results of design a dynamic behavior of characteristic points of the dam (slope, crest and central parts) were defined at the moment of action of seismic load and zone of formation of plastic deformation

Total Site Integration of Light Hydrocarbons Separation Process

Ukraine is the largest consumer of hydrocarbons per unit of production in Europe (Ukraine policy review, 2006). The most important point is a reduction of energy consumption in chemical and metallurgical industries as a biggest consumer. This paper deals with energy savings potential of light hydrocarbons separation process. Energy consumption of light hydrocarbons separation process processes typical of Eastern European countries were analysed. Process Integration (PI) was used to perform a preliminary analysis of different units and fulfil the retrofit project of Total Site Integration (TSI). A new heat exchanger network (HEN) were developed and the equipment was calculated with use of the Pinch principles. A complex method was developed and applied to integrate several units at the enterprise site demonstrating the possibility to use heat pumps. Heat pump integration increases heat recovery and offers a solution in order to increase energy savings and project profitability. The heat transfer area and number of heat exchangers for a retrofitted heat exchanger network have been identified. The estimated payback period for integration Heat Pump of Gas Separation Enterprise is about 127 days and the pathways of plant modernization have been also proposed

The results of the construction of inter-operational conveying devices for the creation of an automatic line for the mechanical processing of a leather semi-finished product between several technological machines for leather processing are considered in the article. At the same time, on this line, all processing machines must be feed-through ones. The dimensions and principles of operation of the mechanism of conveying devices are shown. The main mechanisms of this conveyor are string conveyors, cutting and pressure rollers. The results of the experiments are presented. The task of this proposed conveying device is to increase labor productivity by automating the process of transportation and partial straightening of the sheet material during transportation, as well as communicating the desired speed to the sheet material after partial straightening. It is shown that with the wrong choice of the diameter of the work rolls, the design of the machine, changes in the angular speed of the spreader shaft affect the quality of the extraction and straightening of the folds of the leather semi-finished product

Selecting Control Parameters of Mechanical Systems with Servoconstraints

The research results on the derivation of equations of motion (a mathematical model) of a mechanical system constrained by holonomic constraints of the first and second kind, which contains only tangential components of the constraint of the second kind, are presented in the article. These tangential components are taken as control parameters. Besides, the controllability of the plate, considered in the Appel problem, is investigated

MATHEMATICAL CALCULATION ON DURABILITY OF SOME CONSTRUCTIONS IN BUILDING

In article problems on durability of building constructions are investigated. Using the empirical formula for weight of an arch, under the influence of force, and the extremum theory, critical value of gravity is defined. Further for a homogeneous core which one end is fixed by the hinge, and on the second end force, and depending on a building material and a kind of its form is inserted, there is the greatest value of durability
