    Akibat adanya Pandemi Covid-19, aktifitas masyarakat dari rumah meningkat, maka anggota kelompok PKK Mandalle digiatkan pemeliharaan berbagai jenis tanaman hias lokal maupun import. Terdapat banyak jenis tanaman Hias “berumbi” atau “berbatang bonggol” yang sangat popular dan nilai ekonomi yang cukup tinggi, seperti jenis Alocasia_sp maupun Aglonema_sp. Pelatihan bertujuan membekali masyarakat pengetahuan  teknis perbanyakan dengan cacah bonggol menggunakan Media Non-Tanah (Soilless). Pelatihan dilakukan dengan ijin Satgas Covid19 Kabupaten Pangkep. Pasca pelatihan dilakukan pendampingan anggota kelompok mengenai pasca pembiakan tanaman yaitu Transplanting tanaman kedalam Pot yang baru serta pemeliharaan tanaman yang baik. Tingkat keberhasilan rata-rata lebih dari 80% dimana setiap anggota yang diberi bekal minimal 5 buah bonggol Cacah mampu menumbuhkan setidaknya 4 atau bahkan 5 bonggol menjadi tanaman hias yang ditransplanting dan dipelihara.  Pelatihan Pembiakan Umbi/bonggol tanaman Hias system cacah dan Metode Tanpa Tanah (Soilless) mampu memberi pengetahuan bagi masyarakatdan diharap berlanjut pada masa yang akan datang.   &nbsp

    The focus of this research is the application of the cooperative script learning model and students' science learning outcomes. The approach in this research is a qualitative approach. This type of research is PTK. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of the cooperative script learning model to improve the learning outcomes of grade V students in the science subject of SDN 12 Biccuing, Lalabata District, Soppeng Regency. The subjects in this study were all 5th grade students of SDN 12 Biccuing with a total of 22 people and 1 teacher. Data collection techniques are observation and tests. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the application of the cooperative scipt learning model could improve science learning outcomes in cycle I by 48% and increased in cycle II by 76%. It can be concluded that the cooperative script learning model can improve students' science learning outcomes

    PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN CAMAT TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI DI KANTOR KECAMATAN BUNGAYA KABUPATEN GOWA

    Kepemimpinan berperan sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan Camat terhadap kinerja pegawai di Kantor Kecamatan Bungaya Kabupaten Gowa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi adalah keseluruhan pegawai negeri sipil lingkup kantor Kecamatan Bungaya Kabupaten Gowa yang berjumlah 22 orang. Data dikumpulkan dari kuesioner, wawancara, dan telaah dokumen. Analisis data menggunakan uji validitas, uji realibilitas, uji normalitas, uji linieritas, uji hipotesis dan analisis regresi linier dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Gaya Instruksi berpengaruh positif dengan tingkat korelasi lemah namun tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan nilai regresi yang menunjukkan angka positif sebesar 0,243 dan nilai signifikansi 0,2760,05. Gaya Konsultasi berpengaruh positif dengan tingkat korelasi sangat lemah dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan nilai regresi yang menunjukkan angka positif sebesar 0,014 dan nilai signifikansi 0,9510,05. Gaya Partisipasi berpengaruh positif dengan tingkat korelasi sangat lemah dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan nilai regresi yang menunjukkan angka positif sebesar 0,069 dan nilai signifikansi 0,7620,05. Gaya Delegasi berpengaruh positif dengan tingkat korelasi kuat dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai di Kantor Kecamatan Bungaya Kabupaten Gowa dengan nilai regresi yang menunjukkan angka positif sebesar  0,674 dan nilai signifikansi 0,0010,05 dimana setiap penambahan 1 gaya delegasi maka akan menambah 0,674 kinerja pegawai. Maka dari itu, Gaya Delegasi harus dipertahankan, dimana Camat memberi ruang kepada para pegawai agar bertanggung jawab sendiri akan tugas yang dibebankan kepadanya, hal ini dapat memicu kreativitas dari para pegawai

    Batik discharge and discharge-resist printing on lyocell, linen (flax), polyester and polyester/cotton blend fabrics / Muhammad Ismail Ab Kadir

    Batik fabric is printed using physical resist printing method i.e. the use of wax as physical resist agent. Discharge printing is opposite to resist printing. The use of chemical whether as resist or discharge agents to create batik motifs will produce fabrics known as 'fabrics with batik motifs ' i.e. not a true batik according to the definition. The purpose of this research was to produce batiks on ' new' fibers /fabrics of lyocell , linen , polyester and 65/35 polyester/cotton blend fabrics by the application of discharge and discharge-resist printing styles. The techniques used were canting , block and hand screen printing. Discharge printing style was applied on both lyocell , linen , polyester and 65/35 polyester/cotton blend fabrics whilst , discharge-resist printing style was carried out polyester and 65/35 polyester/cotton blend fabrics. The dischargeability of dyestuffs (reactive and disperse) was determined prior to the application of discharge and discharge-resist styles. The fixation methods applied on the printed fabrics were dry heat and ironing. The printed fabrics were then evaluated base on discharge effects and fastness properties to washing , rubbing (crocking), perspiration and light. Tensile strength of unprinted and printed fabrics was also compared. The discharge and discharge-resist styles provide alternative techniques to batik producers in varying their products and designs as well as their method of printing. The ' impossible' to print batik designs on polyester and 65/35 polyester/cotton blends and introduction of new fibers /fabrics of lyocell and linen will create a new market potential for batik producers which can cater different classes of society due to the differences in quality of fibers /fabrics

    This study aims to design and manufacture a practical module for a small-scale off-grid solar power system with a power capacity of 320Wp. This module consists of the main components of an off-grid type solar power system such as solar panels, Solar Charger Controller (SCC), batteries, inverters, ac/dc loads and power meter measuring instruments integrated in one module. The method used is laboratory research methods and literature study. The literature study method is to look for literature related to solar power plant as a support in making modules and laboratory methods, namely testing modules/ systems with certain conditions. Stages This research method includes identification of problems in the laboratory, literature study, design/layout of the PLTS module, determining the type and analysis of the capacity of solar panels, SCC, inverters and batteries, supplying materials/components, manufacturing modules, and testing modules in the laboratory. The output and benefits of this research are getting a practical module for the solar power plant system which makes it easier for students to understand the working principles of the PLTS system; also to optimize practicum activities in the laboratory. From the results of testing, measurement, and data analysis that have been carried out by the off-grid solar power plant (PLTS) module that has been made to function properly and works in accordance with the principle of the off-grid PLTS system, generating electricity according to the capacity of the solar panel, The solar charge controller works in accordance with its function to regulate charge and discharge of battery storage and the inverter is able to serve the load according to its capacity so that this module is ready to be used as a practical module in learning activities in the laboratory

    Design and Development of Raman-Assisted Multibrillouin Stokes Laser Using Dispersion Compensating Fibre

    Application of multiwavelength sources in Radio over Fibre (RoF) technology has been interesting research works since a last few decades. In order to achieve this source, many techniques have been proposed, whether using a single technology such as Brillouin fibre laser, Raman fibre laser, and erbium doped fibre laser (EDFL) or hybrid technology such as Brillouin-erbium fibre laser (BEFL) and Brillouin- Raman fibre laser (BRFL). Even though these proposed designs have their own advantages, they have not been thoroughly studied in terms of Stokes optical signalto- noise ratio (S-OSNR), Stokes peak power (SPP), flattened SPP, Stokes linewidth (SLW), and Stokes line count (SLC). In this research work, multiwavelength BRFL is proposed which consists of two different configurations, namely ring-cavity and linear cavity. These designs are configured so that the laser oscillation is assisted by internal reflection (e.g. Rayleigh scattering) and external reflection (e.g. Fresnel reflection, mirror or FBG). They are pumped by the Raman pump source (RPS) having wavelength at 1455-nm or 1450- nm. The mediums used for Raman and Brillouin effects are a few lengths of dispersion compensating fibre (DCF) from different manufacturers. All the designed parameters are seriously taken care so that these two configurations are comparable. It is observed that when the RPP is increased from 400-mW to 800-mW, the ring and linear cavity show the wavelength-shift of 2.12-nm and 3.72-nm respectively. The red-shift is larger for the latter since the forward and backward-Raman Stokes spectrum is amplified twice as well as the RPP is reflected into the DCF to be a second pump source. When the RPP is above 1000-mW, Rayleigh scattering contributes to the peak-power discrepancy between the odd and even order Stokes line, and it is worse for the ringcavity. This issue is nearly addressed by the linear-cavity design whereby all the Stokes lines are guided to make complete oscillation with the assistance of standing wave and Rayleigh scattering. The 3-dB SLW discrepancy between odd and even order is also observed from the ring-cavity. However, regardless of the BPP values, the 3-dB SLW becomes comparable to each other when the RPP is 1000-mW and above. For the linear-cavity, they become comparable when the RPP is 230-mW. Relation between the S-OSNR and SLC is also studied. Both cavities show that as the SLC increases, the Stokes-OSNR decreases. However, multi-Stokes lines featured with flat amplitude and almost equal OSNR have been achieved with the linear-cavity just pumped by a single RPS. These spectra contain 360 Stokes lines with 18-dB OSNR

    Development of Authentic Assessment in Geometry Learning

    This study aims to describe the process and results of the development of authentic assessment in teaching geometry which refers to the 4-D model. Geometry authentic assessment in this study includes learning achievement tests, self-assessment, portfolio assessment, performance assessment guidelines, self-assessment guidelines, portfolio assessment guidelines, feasibility test instruments, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and validation sheets. The research subjects are 8th-grade students of SMPN 2 Barombong, Gowa Regency. The validity test analysis is rationally obtained through two the results of the validation of experts, test reliability both rationally and empirically, and objectivity using the product-moment formula. The results showed that the authentic assessment met the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective. As a consequence, it is suggested that the development of authentic assessment tools for geometry learning be expanded to other resources to make teacher evaluation easier. Furthermore, the study's implications provide teachers with information for conducting authentic assessment formulation in the implementation of learning, especially for students

    OPTIMAL DESIGN PSS-PID CONTROL ON SINGLE MACHINE INFINITE BUS USING ANT COLONY OPTIMIZATION

    Optimization of the controller in a generator can improve system performance. The right parameter optimization is needed to get the optimal performance from the controller. The application of the artificial intelligence method as a parameter optimization method is proposed in this study. By using the smart method based on Ant Colony, the optimal PSS-PID parameters are obtained. With optimal tuning, the system gets optimal Single Machine Infinite Bus (SMIB) system frequency and rotor angle response, indicated by the minimum overshot system response. The SMIB system's stability will be tested. A case study of adding and reducing loads is used, with the proposed control method PSS-PID being optimized using Ant Colony. Based on the analysis using the proposed PSS-PID control, we get the minimum overshoot for the frequency response and rotor angle of the SMIB system. When the load changes at 20 seconds, using the PSS-PID control scheme, the minimum overshoot is -4.316e-06 to 7.598e-05 pu with a settling time of 22.01s. For the rotor angle overshoot response, using the PSS-PID control scheme, the minimum overshoot is -0.01113 to -0.009669 pu with a settling time of 22.36s

    Nutritional status and physical abuse among the children involved in domestic labour in Karachi Pakistan: a cross-sectional survey.

    OBJECTIVE: To determine the prevalence of physical abuse among domestic child labours and to assess the nutritional status by calculating the Body Mass Index of children involved in domestic labour in Karachi. METHODS: A cross sectional study was conducted in the squatter settlements of Karachi. Questionnaire based interviews were conducted to capture physical abuse with 385 children who worked as domestic labour in the household of their employer. The ages of the children were between 10 to 14 years belonging to both genders. The children were enrolled in study by snow-ball sampling technique. RESULTS: The overall prevalence of physical abuse among domestic child labour in Karachi was found to be 8.3 %. Over 9 % had low weight and about 90% were stunted. This study also highlighted that 95% of the children involved in domestic labour perform overtime work in their employer\u27s home, more than once per week. CONCLUSIONS: There is high burden of physical abuse among the domestic child labour and these children are malnourished. There is a need to recognize and regulate this form of labour in Pakistan
