Risk Factors and Prognostic Role of Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients
Background: With high morbidity and mortality, acute ischemic stroke (AIS) is a significant worldwide health concern. Improving patient outcomes requires an understanding of the disease's risk factors and prognostic indicators.
Methods: 100 AIS patients were enrolled in this observational study over a period of 18 months, and demographics, hypertension, diabetes, smoking, and neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR) at admission were evaluated. The modified Rankin Scale (mRS), which measures functional status, was one of the outcomes.
Results: Lower survival rates at 1 and 2 years were connected with higher NLR quartiles. Smoking exhibited a trend, but multivariate analysis identified hypertension and diabetes as independent predictors of poor functional outcomes (mRS 3). NLR showed a significant correlation with functional results.
Conclusion: Improving AIS patient care requires integrating NLR assessment and treating diabetes and hypertension. It is necessary to conduct more study to verify these conclusions and improve stroke treatment

acmella (L.) Murray (Family: Asteraceae) is a
multifunctional medicinal plant, which is a major source of alkamides including
spilanthol reported to exhibit various pharmacological activities. Therefore, an efficient in
vitro propagation protocol is requisite for conserving and meeting the ever
increasing industrial demands of this plant. The present study
investigates the effect of agar concentration and liquid medium on in vitro proliferation of S. acmella. Nodal segments of a healthy
plant were surface sterilized and inoculated on MS medium supplemented with
different concentrations of BA (benzylaminopurine). Maximum bud break was
observed in MS containing 0.5 mg/L BA. Maximum multiple shoots (6.20±0.45)
with good mean shoot length (8.01±0.87 cm) was observed in liquid MS with 1
mg/L Kn (kinetin) in comparison with the semi solid medium. The regenerated
shoots showed rooting without addition of any auxins but rooted best in MS
medium containing 1 mg/L IBA and successfully hardened to <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:

Synthesis and Biological Activity of Some 3,4-Dihydro-4-(4-substituted aryl)-6-(naptho[2,1-b]furan-2-yl pyrimidine-2(1H)-one Derivatives
A series of new oxopyrimidine were prepared by cyclocondensation route with various substituted chalcones in presence of alcoholic solution of potassium hydroxide at reflux temperature. The synthesized oxopyrimidine derivatives were characterized by means of their IR, 1H NMR, mass spectral data and elemental analysis. The synthesized oxopyrimidines derivatives were evaluated for antibacterial and antifungal activities, some of them were found to possess significant activity
Zika virus disease
ZIKV (Zika virus) is first major infectious disease related to human birth defects. ZIKV is flavivirus, family Flaviviridae causally associated with Guillain-Barre´ Syndrome, fetal microcephaly and other birth defects. Zika virus diseases discovered about 69 years ago and it remains in relative obscurity, within the span of two years it introduced in Brazil, Latin America and spared rapidly in Asia, USA, Europe and Australia. Detection methods are potentially increases which is positive sign to diagnosis of ZIKV disease and development of vaccine. Sexual transmission of Zika in to male-to-female and maleto-male is documented. There is no conformed vaccination or particular Treatment. In the review, we discussed current epidemiology, virology studies, Diagnosis and Treatment and link between nervous system disordersBiochemijos katedraVytauto Didžiojo universiteta
Proceedings of International Conference on Women Researchers in Electronics and Computing
This proceeding contains articles on the various research ideas of the academic community and practitioners presented at the international conference, “Women Researchers in Electronics and Computing” (WREC’2021). WREC'21 was organized in online mode by Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar (Punjab), INDIA during 22 – 24 April 2021. This conference was conceptualized with an objective to encourage and motivate women engineers and scientists to excel in science and technology and to be the role models for young girls to follow in their footsteps. With a view to inspire women engineers, pioneer and successful women achievers in the domains of VLSI design, wireless sensor networks, communication, image/ signal processing, machine learning, and emerging technologies were identified from across the globe and invited to present their work and address the participants in this women oriented conference.
