The present paper shows the results of a new educational innovation methodology, obtained after eight years of application and study at the Faculty of Communication Science, Complutense University of Madrid, and adapted to the requirements of interactive youth. The method is based on real social and professional projects and contemplates interactivity from a double point of view. On one hand, the university in the Web is seen as online interaction, the capacity of lecturers and students to obtain the maximum benefits from the multiple opportunities offered by digital communication to the educational process, and on the other, the university network as the ability of social interaction between the collective of professors, students and the companies and organizations forming the labor market
After reviewing the scholarly debate on the sacralization of war and the symbolic centrality of Jerusalem in the notion of crusade, this essay focuses on the propagandistic elaboration of the Holy Land image in the context of the debates of the Avignon period, paying specific attention to the works of Marino Sanudo. In this context, the temporal distance from the first crusades and the need to assert continuity with their tradition enhance the recovery of the image of Jerusalem, the place of Christ’s sacrifice and of the crucesignatus’s military and penitential itinerary
Preferire l’eresia? Donne catare in Linguadoca nel primo Trecento
This essay is referred to the participation of women to Languedocian catharism in the early fourteenth century and opens up a discussion on the fundaments of female conversions. These fundaments are not to be found just in doctrinal elements – which were often ignored by many believers – but were mostly related to the complexity of social relations. Next to the basic tenets usually repeated while preaching, some other themes, though secondary for conversions, seem to touch the interest and attention of women: in fact, they frequently occurred in preaching to new female credentes
New global referencing approach in a Camera-LCD micro positioning system
In any precision manufacturing process, positioning systems play a very important role in achieving a quality product. As a new approach to current systems, camera-LCD positioning systems are a new technology that can provide substantial improvements enabling better accuracy and repeatability. However, in order to provide stability to the system a global positioning system is required. This paper presents an improvement of a positioning system based on the treatment of images on an LCD in which a new algorithm with absolute reference has been implemented. The method is based on basic geometry and linear algebra applied to computer vision. The algorithm determines the spiral center using an image taken at any point. Consequently, the system constantly knows its position and does not lose its reference. Several modifications of the algorithm are proposed and compared. The simulation and test of the algorithm provide an important improvement in the reliability and stability of the positioning system providing errors of microns for the calculation of the global position used by the algorithm
