Industry characteristics and macro-environment aspects influencing the possible acquisition of slack by salesforce

This Case Study aims to introduce the potential acquisition proposed by Salesforce to Slack. To conclude on this matter, an introduction to the technology sector will be presented, followed by a detailed overview of Salesforce and Slack, positioned in the second quarter of 2021, before the acquisition took place. To better understand the several impacts of the deal, the teaching note will produce various analyses of the macro-environment surrounding both companies, including Industry, Porter’s Five Forces, and PESTLE analyses. Finally, there will be a conclusion on whether the possible acquisition of Slack by Salesforce makes sense from a macro perspective

It is important to protrude that audiovisual contents with great Design and Information carefully selected have great impact on costumer growth numbers. Through an online survey sent directly to the participants private messages, this investigation expects to understand what specific kind of audiovisual contents are more appealing to the publics eyes and understanding what the target prefers through answering the questions on the survey. When the results come out Inlife will have a better understanding on which are the best Marketing strategies to be introduced as well as the most preferred audiovisual contents by the participants of the survey. A utilização dos fundos europeus no sector da pesca em Portugal

Mestrado em Economia Internacional e Estudos EuropeusEste trabalho final de mestrado tem como tema escolhido a alocação dos fundos europeus ao setor da pesca em Portugal, em particular a análise desta alocação nos programas operacionais passados, MARE e PROMAR e no programa operacional atual, Mar2020. Abordar-se-á o funcionamento dos fundos europeus e a forma como são atribuídos (FEP e posteriormente FEAMP). De seguida uma análise sobre cada programa operacional passado tanto pelas suas caraterísticas como pelas suas utilizações dos fundos alocados aos próprios. O programa operacional Mar2020 é o maior foco de interesse, analisando os seus eixos e a forma como foram alocados os fundos a este programa. Por fim, uma comparação entre os vários programas operacionais percebendo como tem sido a evolução da alocação dos fundos ao sector da pesca portuguesa. Ainda algumas ideias/sugestões sobre o que será o futuro deste sector.This final master's work has as its chosen theme the allocation of European funds to the fishing sector in Portugal, in particular the analysis of this allocation in the past operational programs, MARE and PROMAR and in the current operational program, Mar2020. The operation of European funds and the way they are allocated (EFF and subsequently EMFF) will be addressed. Then an analysis of each operational program passing by both its characteristics and its uses of funds allocated to itself. The Mar2020 operational program is the main focus of interest, analyzing its axes and the way in which funds were allocated to this program. Finally, a comparison between the various operational programs showing how the allocation of funds to the Portuguese fishing sector has evolved. O processo de indexação nos arquivos de universidades: representação e usos no sistema de registros da Universidade Federal Fluminense.

Objective. This article aimed at analyzing the indexing process within the record production phase at the registry system of Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). Design/Methodology/Approach. It has done in two steps. First, a quantitative and qualitative survey were done in information science and archive science journals. Likewise, it was investigated how the indexing has been incorporated into the Sistema Protocolo Integrado (SPI) that was instituted by a Brazilian legislation in 2014. Second, it was analyzed how the indexing was working in the registry system of UFF. Results/Discussion. There were a few number of articles produced in information science area about indexing in archives. Archive science journals present the indexing as a secondary process. There were also approaches in which indexing was subordinated to archival description. Moreover, the Brazilian laws regarding SPI implementation did not define indexing polices, even though it is considered one step of record registry. UFF was implementing the SPI in its registry system, but indexing policies was not being thought. The indexing technique has been applied empirically according to the experience of each scrivener. Conclusions. The records indexing is part of social practices and it is done by community language use. Universities, as producer entities, have specificities according to their administrative dynamics, hierarchical structures and decisions. Those characteristics make universities differ from other organizations. Originality/Value. The strategy dimensions of analysis and representation of records aiming to the retrieval of information in the production phase of archives has been little explored in the literature of the fields of Information Science and Archival Science. However, with the adoption of computerized and integrated information systems in our contemporaneity, indexing has been a recurrent practice in the registry systems of universities. The present work seeks to reflect on such praxis in order to contribute with important issues faced in the routine of those information systems

Com o título “Caso Pedro Dias no Primeiro Jornal da SIC”, este relatório analisa a cobertura mediática do crime, em particular no jornalismo português. Pretende entender de que forma os órgãos de comunicação abordam a criminalidade e a apresentam ao público. Para tal, recorre a uma revisão da literatura sobre o tema, à análise de conteúdo das peças jornalísticas transmitidas no Primeiro Jornal da SIC e a entrevistas a jornalistas, que permitiram concluir que a cobertura do Caso Pedro Dias foi intensiva, o que aconteceu por se tratar de uma estória fora do comum e com um nível de violência a que os portugueses não estão habituados.With the title “Caso Pedro Dias no Primeiro Jornal da SIC”, this report analyses the media coverage of crime, in particular in Portuguese journalism. Intends to understand how the media deals with crime and they it presents it to the public. For such, it does a literature review about the theme, analyses the content of the journalistic stories broadcasted by "Primeiro Jornal" of SIC and finishes by presenting several interviews with journalists, which concluded that the coverage of "Caso Pedro Dias" was intense because it was an unusual story with a violence level that Portuguese people are not used to

A figura da prostituta em Henry Miller e Brassai

Tese de mestrado em Estudos Comparatistas apresentada à Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, 2008A minha tese centra-se na figura da prostituta em Tropic of Cancer e Quiet Days in Clichy, de Henry Miller, e Le Paris Secret des années 30, de Brassaï. Esta personagem é central na modernidade estética, sendo uma das metáforas desse período, da cidade e do próprio artista. Os espaços urbanos têm um lugar basilar nos seus trabalhos, sendo vistos como um organismo vivo, especialmente em Miller. Nos seus romances a prostituta é uma das melhores formas de entrar em contacto com a cidade e de a possuir. Mas é também uma metáfora para a crescente comodificação das sociedades e do homem, em que a alienação se tornou o resultado último de tal processo. É desta realidade que ele consegue escapar quando deixa Nova Iorque, encontrando em Paris uma sociedade mais humana, onde o homem ainda vale pelo que é e não pelo seu valor como mercadoria e força de trabalho. Em Brassaï, pelo contrário, este sentimento de alienação na figura da prostituta como um bem de mercado não é tão evidente, uma vez que a maioria das imagens onde esta aparece são dotadas de uma atmosfera poética, onde a sua alienação não é tão óbvia. No entanto, o facto de escolher as classes trabalhadoras e os excluídos da sociedade como temas principais das suas fotografias revela que há uma grande empatia e preocupação com estas pessoas. Contudo, nunca abandona uma perspectiva burguesa (apesar de poder ter a ilusão de que o faz) e dá sempre às cenas uma aura poética de uma vida romantizada, como por exemplo quando, em Le Paris Secret des années 30, lamenta o facto de os vagabundos estarem a desaparecer da cidade, sugerindo que sejam tomadas medidas para que eles continuem a existir. Ambos os autores mostram uma maior liberdade em relação à sexualidade, mas nunca se abandona uma perspectiva masculina e as mulheres são quase sempre apenas os objectos do seu desejo sexual, bem como o outro no qual inscrevem a sua identidade.The thesis examines the image of the prostitute in Tropic of Cancer and Quiet Days in Clichy by Henry Miller and Le Paris Secret des années 30 by Brassaï. This character plays a central role in modernity and it is a metaphor for this period as well as for the city and for the artist himself. Urban spaces occupy a significant function in both works, becoming a living organism to the subject, especially in Miller. The prostitute becomes one of the deepest ways to interact with the city and capture its essence. But the prostitute is also a metaphor for the expanding realm of commodification, where alienation is the final result. In this scenario, Miller manages to escape, leaving New York for Paris where he finds a more humane society in which man is still valued for himself rather than for his commodity value in the labor force. Conversely, in Brassaï the feeling of alienation in the prostitute-as-commodity is not so manifest, since most of the images are invested with a poetic atmosphere largely devoid of alienation. Yet, the fact that he chooses the working classes and social outcasts as his principal photographic subjects shows empathy for their plight. Nonetheless, Brassaï never abandons a bourgeois perspective of things, despite the illusion to the contrary, and always gives his subjects a poetic aura of a romanticized life. For example, in Le Paris Secret des années 30, Brassaï regrets the fact that vagabonds are disappearing from the city and even suggests measures be taken for their continued presence. Both Miller and Brassaï show liberty with respect to sexuality even though a masculine perspective is never abandoned. Women remain almost always the object of sexual desire, as well as the Other upon whom they inscribe their identity

Mãos de Mecânico e Toxidermia à Hidroxicloroquina: Ferramentas Diagnósticas Preciosas

O diagnóstico clínico de dermatomiosite é muitas vezes difícil e desafiante. A presença de uma história clínica clássica, aliada a um exame físico completo e ao uso dos anticorpos específicos para miosite recentemente descritos, pode levar ao diagnóstico mais precoce desta entidade. Desta forma e com o início atempado da terapêutica, minimiza-se o risco de progressão da doença. Apresentamos o caso de uma doente com mãos-de-mecânico e uma história prévia de toxidermia à hidroxicloroquina. Embora estes achados não sejam patognomónicos de dermatomiosite, quando associados a uma história clínica e exame físico típicos, são ferramentas diagnósticas úteis.The clinical diagnosis of dermatomyositis can be difficult and challenging. In the right clinical setting and with the use of the recently described myositis specific antibodies, an earlier diagnosis can be made and therapeutic approaches promptly started, minimizing the risk of disease progression. We herein present a case of a patient with mechanic’s hands and a previously documented drug eruption to hydroxychloroquine. Although these clinical findings are not pathognomonic of dermatomyositis, in the right clinical scenario, they are precious diagnostic tools
