    Covariant Quantum Fields on Noncommutative Spacetimes

    A spinless covariant field ϕ\phi on Minkowski spacetime \M^{d+1} obeys the relation U(a,Λ)ϕ(x)U(a,Λ)−1=ϕ(Λx+a)U(a,\Lambda)\phi(x)U(a,\Lambda)^{-1}=\phi(\Lambda x+a) where (a,Λ)(a,\Lambda) is an element of the Poincar\'e group \Pg and U:(a,Λ)→U(a,Λ)U:(a,\Lambda)\to U(a,\Lambda) is its unitary representation on quantum vector states. It expresses the fact that Poincar\'e transformations are being unitary implemented. It has a classical analogy where field covariance shows that Poincar\'e transformations are canonically implemented. Covariance is self-reproducing: products of covariant fields are covariant. We recall these properties and use them to formulate the notion of covariant quantum fields on noncommutative spacetimes. In this way all our earlier results on dressing, statistics, etc. for Moyal spacetimes are derived transparently. For the Voros algebra, covariance and the *-operation are in conflict so that there are no covariant Voros fields compatible with *, a result we found earlier. The notion of Drinfel'd twist underlying much of the preceding discussion is extended to discrete abelian and nonabelian groups such as the mapping class groups of topological geons. For twists involving nonabelian groups the emergent spacetimes are nonassociative.Comment: 20 page

Apabila yang dipegang oleh orang buta tersebut adalah belalai si Gajah, maka ia menyimpulkan bahwa Gajah adalah binatang yang bulat panjang, dan tidak bisa diam. Apabila yang dipegang kebetulan adalah salah satu kakinya, maka ia dapat menyimpulkan bahwa gajah adalah binatang yang kokoh bagaikan tiang listrik yang biasa mereka pegang dipinggir jalan. Demikian seterusnya. Sama dengan analogi orang buta memegang gajah, maka masalah-masalah penyuluhan pertanian yang dihadapi bangsa kita akan beragam sesuai dengan sudut pandang dan dasar keilmuan yang ditekuni. Menemukan masalah-masalah penyuluhan bukan sarana untuk mendebat bahkan menyalahkan orang lain, tetapi mencari solusi demi perbaikan kegiatan penyuluhan di Indonesia.     Multi-waveband Emission Maps of Blazars

    We are leading a comprehensive multi-waveband monitoring program of 34 gamma-ray bright blazars designed to locate the emission regions of blazars from radio to gamma-ray frequencies. The "maps" are anchored by sequences of images in both total and polarized intensity obtained with the VLBA at an angular resolution of ~ 0.1 milliarcseconds. The time-variable linear polarization at radio to optical wavelengths and radio to gamma-ray light curves allow us to specify the locations of flares relative to bright stationary features seen in the images and to infer the geometry of the magnetic field in different regions of the jet. Our data reveal that some flares occur simultaneously at different wavebands and others are only seen at some of the frequencies. The flares are often triggered by a superluminal knot passing through the stationary "core" on the VLBA images.     Pemanfaatan lahan kawasan pesisir sangat rentan membuat terjadi degradasi lahan yang mengakibatkan terjadinya abrasi pantai. Kajian ini meliputi bentuk pengelolaan kawasan pesisir dengan pemanfaatan lahan dikawasan pesisir pantai namunb erbasis mitigasi bencana abrasi. Hal tersebut dilihat dari sisi tingakat kerentanan abrasi yang sering terjadi di kawasan pesisir khusunya di Kecamatan Galesong Kabupaten Takalar. Jenispenelitian ini yaitu jenis penelitian terapan dengan menggabungkan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Potensi abrasi di kawasan pesisir Kecamatan Galeseong dari hasil analisis kebencanaa nterbagi atas tiga tingkat kerentanan yaitu rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Abrasi dengna tinggka tkerentanan tinggi terdapat di Kelurahan Galesong Kota, Kelurahan Galesong Baru dan Kelurahan Palalakkang dengan luas 3,63 Km2. Faktor yang berpenganruh pada abrasi adalah factor alam yang ditunjang pola kegiatan masyarakat yang tidak mendukung dalam menahan proses abrasi. Sehingga dalam pemanfaatan lahan sebagai kota pantai di Kabupaten Takalar maka kawasan pesisir Kecamatan Galesong dikembangkan sesuai dengan potensi bencana yang terjadi di kawasan tersebut yang terbagi dalam zona prevasi, zona limitasi fisiografis, dan zona potensial dalam mengarahkan kawasan pesisir sebagai kota pantai yang ramah bencana abrasi

    Quantile forecast discrimination ability and value

    While probabilistic forecast verification for categorical forecasts is well established, some of the existing concepts and methods have not found their equivalent for the case of continuous variables. New tools dedicated to the assessment of forecast discrimination ability and forecast value are introduced here, based on quantile forecasts being the base product for the continuous case (hence in a nonparametric framework). The relative user characteristic (RUC) curve and the quantile value plot allow analysing the performance of a forecast for a specific user in a decision-making framework. The RUC curve is designed as a user-based discrimination tool and the quantile value plot translates forecast discrimination ability in terms of economic value. The relationship between the overall value of a quantile forecast and the respective quantile skill score is also discussed. The application of these new verification approaches and tools is illustrated based on synthetic datasets, as well as for the case of global radiation forecasts from the high resolution ensemble COSMO-DE-EPS of the German Weather Service

    Morphological Features of Tyrosine Hydroxylase Immunoreactive Cells in the Mouse Islets of Langerhans

    The current immunohistochemical study used the antibody against tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) to observe the immunoreactive elements in the mouse pancreas. The results indicated the presence of immunoreactive nerve fibers and endocrine cells. The immunopositive nerve fibers appeared as thick and thin bundles; thick bundles were seen to run along the blood vessels giving out fine fibers to the wall. Varicose nerve fibers were seen in the islets of Langerhans and also in close association with the exocrine endpieces. The TH immunoreactive cells were oval-round in shape and some showed the central non-staining area and the dense staining peripheral zone. More than 80% of the islets of Langerhans contained the immunoreactive cells. Individual islet showed between 3-10 immunopositive cells and a few contained 1-2 cells. The TH immunopositive cells were widely distributed in the islets; they were seen in the centre, at the intermediate position and at the periphery of the islets. The exact role of the TH immunoreactive cells in the islets of Langerhans is not known. It is possible that they secrete tyrosine hydroxylase that may have some paracrine influence to the endocrine cells.     Penerapan Tri Hita Karana terhadap Kawasan Agrowisata Buyan dan Tamblingan di Desa Pancasari, Kecamatan Sukasada, Kabupaten Buleleng

    Agro-tour is one of the alternative developments of tour destination in Indonesia, especially in Bali which has high number of devotees. The agro-tour area in Buyan/Tamblingan is one of the agro-tour areas which is developed intensively in Bali. The value of this agro-tour will be higher if it is focused on its management. The relevant basis used to manage and keep the viability of this agro-tour is named Tri Hita Karana. Besides as being a guidance for managing, the aspects of Tri Hita Karana is also considered as tourism value which is divided into three aspects, namely parhyangan, pawongan, and palemahan. Based on this situation, this study aimed at understanding the effect of Tri Hita Karana implementation simultaneously or partially toward the agro-tour area of Buyan/Tamblingan. The population of this study was the community of Pancasari village with 1.100 KK. The sample of this study was 110 people chosen by using simple random sampling technique. The data was analyzed by using multiple regressions analysis, correlation analysis, determination analysis, F-test analysis, and standardized coefficient beta through SPP 17.0 program. The result of this study shows that the implementation of Tri Hita Karana consisting of parhyangan, pawongan, and palemahan simultaneously influences positively and significantly toward the agro-tour area of Buyan/Tamblingan with Fcounted of 86.659 and significance degree of 0.000 which is beneath from 5%. Partially, the aspect of parhyangan has positive and significant influence toward the agro-tour area of Buyan/Tamblingan with tcounted > ttabel (3.708 > 1.659) with probability value (? = 5%) is 0.000 which is beneath from 0.05. The aspect of pawongan has positive and significant influence toward agro-tour area of Buyan/Tamblingan with tcounted > ttabel (2.604 > 1.659) with probability value (? = 5%) is 0.011 which is beneath from 0.05. The aspect of palemahan has positive and significant influence toward agro-tour area of Buyan/Tamblingan with tcounted > ttabel (4.519 > 1.659) with probability value (? = 5%) is 0.000 which is beneath from 0.05. Thus, the most influent variable is palemahan which has the highest standardized coefficient beta of 0.389 with the highest determination influence of 38.9%.Based on the result of this study, it is expected for the tourism manager and community appliance that the management of agro-tour area of Buyan/Tamblingan as a tour destination pays attention on the aspects of Tri Hita Karana as a philosophy in keeping, protecting, employing, and developing this agro-tour area since these aspects of Tri Hita Karana is proven to have significant effect simultaneously and partially
