La re-construcción imaginaria de lo real en Campos de Níjar y Las Hurdes. Tierra sin pan

Mediante el análisis textual comparativo de dos textos de referencia del cine pseudo-documental y la pseudo-literatura de viajes, Las Hurdes. Tierra sin pan y Campos de Níjar, me pregunto si domina en ellos más la denuncia social y la ideología que la experiencia estética ¿Son textos que crean una memoria histórica universal o más bien se trata de la experiencia estética de lo real de sus respectivos autores? Propongo, pues, una lectura en la que voy a intentar demostrar cómo ambos textos entran en contacto con lo real a partir de su re-construcción imaginaria.Par comparative analyse textuelle de deux textes de référence de film pseudo-documentaire et pseudo-écriture de voyage, Las Hurdes. Terre sans pain et Terres de Níjar, je me demande si qu’il domine plus la critique plus sociale et l’idéologie que l’expérience esthétique. Son textes qui créent une mémoire historique universelle ou plutôt est l’expérience esthétique de réel de leurs auteurs respectifs? Je propose donc une lecture dans laquelle je vais essayer de montrer comment les deux textes en contact avec le réel à partir de sa re-construction imaginaire.Through the textual comparative analysis of two reference texts in the pseudo-documentary film and a pseudo-travel literature, Las Hurdes. Land Without Bread and Campos de Níjar, I wonder if these are more dominated by social criticism and ideology than by aesthetic experience. Are they texts that create a universal historical memory or rather is the aesthetic experience of the Real of their respective authors? I therefore propose a reading in which I will try to show how both texts contact the Real from its imaginary re-construction

De lo vernacular y el World Cinema en Biutiful

El tiempo deconstruido en Saraba Hakobune, la versión cinematográfica de Cien años de soledad

In this article I textually analyse the film adaptation of One Hundred Years of Solitude by the Japanese director Terayama Shuji entitled Saraba Hakobune [Farewell to the Ark]. Beyond traditionally being considered a free adaptation, to the point that it is thought ―although it has not been confirmed­―  that García Márquez would not have allowed the use of the original title, my hypothesis is that the Caribbean saw something that surprised him: the Japanese would have taken beyond what he imagined his reflection on time, desire and love, but in the most radical way, deconstructing it and colliding himself also with images that came to dialogue very intimately with his novel.En este artículo analizo textualmente la adaptación cinematográfica de Cien años de soledad realizada por el director japonés Terayama Shuji que se titula Saraba Hakobune [Despedida del arca]. Más allá de que tradicionalmente se la ha considerado una adaptación libre, hasta el punto de que se piensa ―aunque no se ha confirmado― que García Márquez no habría permitido la utilización del título original, nuestra hipótesis es que vio algo que le sorprendió: una profundización radical sobre el tiempo, el deseo y el amor, deconstruyéndola y chocando, asimismo, con unas imágenes que venían a dialogar de manera muy íntima con su novela

Strategies of the Spanish press in the face of the Twitter algorithm change. Analysis of tweets published between 2018-2020

Twitter recently celebrated its 15th anniversary. During this period, the platform has gone through several phases, culminating in a record number of subscribers and profits in 2021. Twitter is a household name all over the world and people know what it can or cannot provide, independent of the future growth that it may experience with new investments and updates. This article aims to verify two interrelated hypotheses, namely: the Spanish press already knows how to optimise the social network Twitter, as three decades have elapsed since its launch; and, secondly, the algorithm modification implemented by Twitter in 2018 has triggered a change in the positioning of the headers studied in this social network. In order to demonstrate both, the object of analysis will be conducted by a mixed approach through quantitative statistical processes (which will study the number of impacts and retweets and likes obtained), and inductive qualitative methods such as semi-structured interviews. This multidisciplinary approach will provide a more complete and in-depth analysis of the phenomenon. The research focuses on the period between 2018 and 2020, and addresses the participation on Twitter of the four main traditional newspapers (El País, La Vanguardia, ABC and El Mundo) as well as four native digital newspapers (20 Minutos, El Español, elDiario.es and El Huffpost). The analysis comprises more than 1.5 million tweets among the eight chosen newspapers.Twitter acaba de celebrar su decimoquinto aniversario. Durante este periodo, la plataforma ha pasado varias fases que han culminado con un récord de suscriptores y beneficios en 2021. El mundo conoce Twitter y sabe qué es lo que puede o no proporcionar, aparte de las posibilidades de crecimiento que pueda experimentar en caso de potenciales inversiones. En el presente artículo se pretende comprobar dos hipótesis interrelacionadas, a saber: la prensa española en castellano ya sabe cómo optimizar la red social Twitter, por haber transcurrido tres lustros desde su puesta en marcha; y, en segundo lugar, el cambio de algoritmo implementado por Twitter en 2018 que ha desencadenado un cambio de posicionamiento de las cabeceras estudiadas en esta red social. Con el propósito de demostrar ambas, se abordará el objeto de análisis desde un enfoque mixto a través de procesos cuantitativos estadísticos (que estudiarán el número de impactos y de retuits y likes obtenidos), y métodos cualitativos inductivos como entrevistas semiestructuradas a los responsables de redes de los medios involucrados. Esta aproximación mixta proporcionará un análisis más completo y profundo sobre el fenómeno. La investigación se centra en el período comprendido entre 2018 y 2020, y aborda la participación en Twitter de cuatro periódicos tradicionales (El País, La Vanguardia, ABC y El Mundo), así como de cuatro periódicos nativos digitales (20 Minutos, El Español, elDiario.es y El Huffpost). Amniotic membrane transplantation with fibrin glue as treatment of refractory conjunctivochalasis

Case report: A 63-year-old man with bilateral conjunctivochalasis presented with tearing, irritation, foreign body sensation and a delayed fluorescein clearance test. After no symptomatic improvement with topical treatment, surgery was carried out, with amniotic membrane transplantation and fibrin sealant. Discussion: Conjunctivochalasis is a frequent disorder that shares symptoms with dry eye syndrome. When there is no response to topical treatment, surgical treatment is needed. The surgical technique described by Tseng, and based on amniotic membrane transplantation without suture, resulted in a very useful response, due to less inflammation and a rapid resolution and improvement of symptom

La córnea es un tejido transparente constituido microscópicamente por 5 capas bien diferenciadas. El epitelio corneal es esencial para la transparencia corneal y se encuentra en continua renovación a lo largo de la vida a partir de la población de células madre limbocorneales. La localización de estas células madre limbocorneales parece residir en las capas basales del epitelio limbocorneal, de vital importancia para mantener el microambiente de estas células madre limbocorneales, que depende de una variedad de factores intrínsecos y extrínsecos. La insuficiencia límbica se produce cuando ocurre una pérdida parcial o total de estas células madre limbocorneales. Este cuadro lleva a una opacificación corneal con la consiguiente pérdida de visión. En estos casos, el trasplante corneal supone únicamente un reemplazo temporal del epitelio corneal; es necesario llevar a cabo un tratamiento previo con trasplante de limbo autólogo o alogénico, que permita regenerar la población de células limbocorneales dañadas. Para disminuir el riesgo que supone el trasplante de limbo en el ojo donante, se han propuesto técnicas de cultivo de células limbocorneales a partir de pequeñas biopsias limbocorneales

Aceite de silicona para el tratamiento de la maculopatía hipotónica

Case report: We report a case of a man who developed hypotonic maculopathy after vitreoretinal surgery for anterior proliferative vitreoretinopathy. After an injection of intravitreal triamcinolone, the ocular pressure did not increase, therefore silicone oil was injected. After this, the visual acuity increased and the choroidal and retinal folds regressed. Discussion: Hypotonic maculopathy is a frustrating problem, often resulting in poor visual acuity. There are not many effective treatments. The injection of silicone oil could be an alternative to increase the intraocular pressure and re-establish the normal anatomy of the eye, improving the visual acuity in some patient

Mobile ad hoc network testbed using mobile robot technology

MANET (Mobile Ad Hoc Network) researchers have shown increased interest in using mobile robot technology for their testbed platforms. Thus, the main motivation of this paper is to review various robot-based MANET testbeds that have been developed in previously reported research. Additionally, suggestions to heighten mobility mechanisms by using mobile robots to be more practical, easy and inexpensive are also included in this paper, as we unveils ToMRobot, a low-cost MANET robot created from an ordinary remote control car that is capable of performing a real system MANET testbed with the addition of only a few low-cost electronic components. Despite greatly reduced costs, the ToMRobot does not sacrifice any of the necessary MANET basic structures and will still be easily customizable and upgradeable through the use of open hardware technology like Cubieboard2 and Arduino, as its robot controller. This paper will also include guidelines to enable technically limited MANET researchers to design and develop the ToMRobot. It is hoped that this paper achieves its two pronged objectives namely (i) to facilitate other MANET researchers by providing them with a source of reference that eases their decision making for selecting the best and most suitable MANET mobile robots for real mobility in their MANET testbeds (ii) to provide MANET researchers with a prospect of building their own MANET robots that can be applied in their own MANET testbed in the future
