    42 p.La proporción áurea (Fº) corresponde a la división armónica de una recta en media y extrema razón, es decir, que el segmento menor, es al segmento mayor, como éste es a la totalidad de la recta., numéricamente puede expresarse como 1:1,618; En la Anatomía Humana se han descrito una gran cantidad de relaciones áureas, asociándose este concepto con el de armonía estética. Recientemente se han utilizado en el campo de la antropología forense como método de reconstrucción del esqueleto craneal con fines de identificación medico legal. El objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar distintos puntos anatómicos y verificar si los trazados entre esos puntos establecen relaciones áureas. Para lo cual se utilizó un universo de 10 cráneos adultos, sobre los se identificaron y marcaron 20 puntos anatómicos específicos sobre cada cráneo, se midió la distancia existente entre estos, determinando rectas, las que se denominaron de acuerdo a los puntos entre los cuales se encontraron, las cuales se compararon todas versus todas, observando la relación matemática existente entre ellas, y así se seleccionaron aquellas que se encontraban en proporción áurica, es decir, 1 es a 1.618. Se encontraron proporciones áuricas, en el macizo craneofacial, entre puntos anatómicos constantes, reproducibles, y además, se encontraron otras proporciones entre las diferentes estructuras que fueron estudiada

    The present study aimed to determine the physical and chemical characteristics, color, anthocyanin content, total phenolics, total flavonoids and antioxidant activity in vinification residue of red grapes (Vitis vinifera L.) varieties: Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. The residue had an optimum pH for its conservation as biomass, high fiber content, a protein influenced by its nitrogen content probably from the fertilization of grape cultivation and interesting energy content. The Merlot residue presented higher content of anthocyanins (118,92 mg cyanidin-3-gl/100g). The total phenolic compounds varied significantly between the varieties and Merlot was the residue which had the highest content at 3902,54 (mg gallic acid/100g dry weight). The Shiraz variety had the highest content of total flavonoids equivalent to 26,56 (mg quercetin/100g dry weight). It was observed that the Merlot residue differed significantly (

    The present article discusses the development of a demand response system on a residential setting given that the proper management of energy resources by users can solve scarcity and energy reliability issues. The behavior of 1000 residential users is modelled through a peak control program based on economic and energy-related incentives. A demand response (DR) application is used where remuneration depends on scarcity pricing. The case study is shown including a mathematic algorithm and the application. The results obtained with the application exhibit a reduction of energy peaks, which translates into more efficient energy management which in turn is remunerated by scarcity pricing. It is concluded that the incentive-based DR program is viable both energy-wise and financially.El presente artículo pretende desarrollar la Respuesta de la demanda a nivel residencial, dado que con la adecuada gestión energética de los usuarios, se puede resolver problema de escasez y confiabilidad energética. Para esto se modela el comportamiento de mil usuarios residenciales al aplicar un programa de control de picos basado en incentivos energéticos y económicos por medio de un aplicativo de respuesta de la demanda (RD), donde la remuneración se realiza en función al precio de escasez. Se presenta el caso de estudio, el algoritmo matemático implementado y el aplicativo. En los resultados obtenidos en el aplicativo se tiene la disminución de los picos de energía, lo que representa una mejor gestión de energía, esta a su vez se ve remunerada por el precio de escasez, lo que permite concluir que el programa de RD basado en incentivos de control de picos es viable energética y económicamente

    Bioinformatics is the application of computer science to solve biological problems. Its application is becoming more necessary and common every day in the field of life science research. In this discipline, computational and human resources assist in the analysis of enormous amounts of biological data, to extract valuable information and obtain results with improved impacts on human, animal and plant health. This report addresses the emergence of the bioinformatics career as part of the natural cycle of the biotechnological advancement process in Cuba and the impact of its development in areas such as oncology, genetics, epidemiology and pharmacology. The exposed elements allows to understand the importance of its use, being every day more necessary and common in the field of life sciences research, despite the large investments in technology to be made. It is concluded that with the application of bioinformatics it is possible to solve a large number of current biomedical problems, which makes it a vital discipline for Cuba in its development plans and that it must play a leading role in horizon up to 2030

    Síntesis y caracterización de polímeros conductores basados es polipirrol PPY con dopaje de aleaciones DBS y PSS

    En el presente trabajo de grado se presenta el desarrollo de un potenciostato para ciclovoltametría y se presenta la síntesis y caracterización de los siguientes materiales en forma de películas delgadas por medio de voltametría cíclica a potencial constante: polipirrol (PPY); polipirrol dopado con poliestireno sulfonato de sodio (PPY/PSS); polipirrol dopado con ácido dodecil benceno sulfónico (PPY/ DBS); y polipirrol dopado con poliestireno sulfonato de sodio y ácido dodecil benceno sulfónico (PPY/PSS-DBS). Los materiales sintetizados son considerados polímeros conductores con potencial aplicación en el desarrollo de músculos artificiales. Adicionalmente, se comparó la respuesta de cada material desarrollado por medio de voltametría cíclica a diferentes velocidades de barrido (5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100 mV/s). Finalmente, el nuevo material desarrollado, correspondiente al polipirrol dopado con poliestireno sulfonato de sodio y ácido dodecil benceno sulfónico (PPY/PSS-DBS), fue caracterizado por medio de voltametría cíclica a diferentes velocidades de barrido, variación del límite catódico de potencial, variación de temperatura, variación de concentración del electrolito, y respuesta al número de ciclos.In this research, the development of a potentiostat for cyclovoltammetry is presented and the synthesis and characterization of the following materials in the form of thin films by means of constant potential cyclic voltammetry is presented: polypyrrole (PPY); polypyrrole doped with sodium polystyrene sulfonate (PPY/PSS); polypyrrole doped with dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid (PPY/DBS); and polypyrrole doped with sodium polystyrene sulfonate and dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid (PPY/PSS-DBS). The synthesized materials are considered conductive polymers with potential application in the development of artificial muscles. In addition, the response of each material developed by means of cyclic voltammetry at different scan rates (5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100 mV/s) was compared. Finally, the new material developed, corresponding to polypyrrole doped with sodium polystyrene sulfonate and dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid (PPY/PSS-DBS), it was characterized by cyclic voltammetry at different scan rates, variation of the cathodic potential limit, variation of temperature, variation of electrolyte concentration, and response to the number of cycles

    Leaf Categorization Methods for Plant Identification

    In most of classic plant identification methods a dichotomous or multi-access key is used to compare characteristics of leaves. Some questions about if the analyzed leaves are lobed, unlobed, simple or compound need to be answered to identify plants successfully. However, very little attention has been paid to make an automatic distinction of leaves using such features. In this paper we first explore if incorporating prior knowledge about leaves (categorizing between lobed simple leaves, and the unlobed simple ones) has an effect on the performance of six classification methods. According to the results of experiments with more than 1,900 images of leaves from Flavia data set, we found that it is statically significant the relationship between such categorization and the improvement of the performances of the classifiers tested. Therefore, we propose two novel methods to automatically differentiate between lobed simple leaves, and the unlobed simple ones. The proposals are invariant to rotation, and achieve correct prediction rates greater than 98%

    Proper motions of the HH1 jet

    We describe a new method for determining proper motions of extended objects, and a pipeline developed for the application of this method. We then apply this method to an analysis of four epochs of [S~II] HST images of the HH~1 jet (covering a period of 20\sim 20~yr). We determine the proper motions of the knots along the jet, and make a reconstruction of the past ejection velocity time-variability (assuming ballistic knot motions). This reconstruction shows an "acceleration" of the ejection velocities of the jet knots, with higher velocities at more recent times. This acceleration will result in an eventual merging of the knots in 450\sim 450~yr and at a distance of 80"\sim 80" from the outflow source, close to the present-day position of HH~1.Comment: 12 pages, 8 figure

    La presente investigación denominada “Reducción del costo integral de mantenimiento mediante aplicación del mantenimiento preventivo a la organización empresarial inversiones pesqueras Liguria S.A.C”. cuyo objetivo general diagnosticar si la aplicación del mantenimiento preventivo minimiza costes de mantenimiento en la organización empresarial Inversiones pesqueras Liguria SAC Chimbote 2022 y como objetivos específicos determinar con reducen los costos de mantenimiento por fallas y para de actividades planificadas en la maquinaria de proceso de harina de pescado, la metodología es aplicada, por su naturaleza cuantitativo ,diseño experimental tipo preexperimental, del cual tuvo una población de 8 máquinas, la muestra es censal, y el muestreo por conveniencia, con el criterio de evaluar las máquinas en 8 meses para así ver una diferencia notorio de los costos , los resultado fueron que el costo de mantenimiento redujo en un 35.30% ; el costo de mantenimiento por fallas redujo en un 13.41%, y el coste de mantenimiento por actividades planificadas la disminución fue de 39.14% ; en conclusión, la implementación del mantenimiento preventivo minimiza el costo de mantenimiento en la organización empresarial Inversiones Pesquera Liguria SA
