Liquid Biopsy as Novel Tool in Precision Medicine: Origins, Properties, Identification and Clinical Perspective of Cancer’s Biomarkers
Producción CientíficaIn recent years, there has been an increase in knowledge of cancer, accompanied by a technological development that gives rise to medical oncology. An instrument that allows the implementation of individualized therapeutic strategies is the liquid biopsy. Currently, it is the most innovative methodology in medical oncology. Its high potential as a tool for screening and early detection, the possibility of assessing the patient’s condition after diagnosis and relapse, as well as the effectiveness of real-time treatments in different types of cancer. Liquid biopsy is capable of overcoming the limitations of tissue biopsies. The elements that compose the liquid biopsy are circulating tumor cells, circulating tumor nucleic acids, free of cells or contained in exosomes, microvesicle and platelets. Liquid biopsy studies are performed on various biofluids extracted in a non-invasive way, and they can be performed both from the blood and in urine, saliva or cerebrospinal fluid. The development of genotyping techniques, using the elements that make up liquid biopsy, make it possible to detect mutations, intertumoral and intratumoral heterogeneity, and provide molecular information on cancer for application in medical oncology in an individualized way in different types of tumors. Therefore, liquid biopsy has the potential to change the way medical oncology could predict the course of the disease
Abstract
One of the main challenges facing the service sector is to provide quality services. However, the vast majority of organizations lack this capacity as they do not have knowledge of the factors that really influence their service to be considered quality. The health sector is no exception, as it seeks to offer a better service to its users. A tool that allows identifying, evaluating and indicating which of these factors are relevant so that the needs of users are satisfactorily met, as well as estimating the effect and the relationships that exist between multiple variables in a quantifiable way are structural equations. Biomechanical assessment of aerodynamic resistance in proffessional cyclists: methodological aspects
Vegetative as bioindicators of heavy metals in a semiarid system
usos suelo y temporalidad. El área se sitúa en
la colindancia de los Municipios de Soledad
de Graciano Sánchez y San Luis Potosí
fragmentada por usos de suelo: agropecuario,
comercio y servicios, residencial urbano y
minero.
Plomo (Pb) > Cobre (Cu) > Titanio (Ti) >
Vanadio (V) > Arsénico (As) > Cromo (Cr) >
Cadmio (Cd) > Cobalto (Co).
The evaluation of pollution by heavy metals

the effect of different of land uses and seasons.
The area is located near of the municipalities
of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez and San
Luis Potosi which has fragmented land use
such as: agriculture, commercial and services,
urban residential and mining. Samples were
taken from leaves of the three species during
summer, autumn, winter and spring to assess
the concentrations of heavy metals through
the technique of ICP-MS. Statistical analyzes
showed levels of Aluminum (Al) > Zinc (Zn)
> Lead (Pb) > Copper (Cu) > Titanium (Ti) >
Vanadium (V) > Arsenic (As) > Chromium (Cr)
> Cadmium (Cd) > Cobalt (Co). The elements
Al, As, Cd, Cr, Pb and Ti had levels above the
normal threshold in vegetation. Land use had a
significant effect with Al, Ti, Cd, As and Pb having
the trees being located in the land with mining
and commercial and services use the greater
concentrations. The species had a significant
effect on Al and Pb with Acacia spp., having
the largest storage capacity. The season of the
year significantly impacted the accumulation of
As, Cd, Co, Cu, Cr and Ti in the three species.
The anthropogenic dynamics of different land
uses generated waste particles and residues
of heavy metals, impacting the availability and
accumulation in the species evaluated. This
study contribute to evaluate the environmental
impact in the system with a fragmented land
use and the continuation of this type of studies
is recommended.

Association of polyps with early-onset colorectal cancer and throughout surveillance: Novel clinical and molecular implications
Early-onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC) is an increasing and worrisome entity. The aim of this study was to analyze its association with polyps concerning prognosis and surveillance. EOCRC cases were compared regarding the presence or absence of associated polyps (clinical and molecular features), during a minimum of 7 years of follow-up. Of 119 cases, 56 (47%) did not develop polyps (NP group), while 63 (53%) did (P group). The NP group showed a predominant location of the CRC in the rectum (50%), of sporadic cases (54%), and diagnosis at advanced stages: Only P53 and SMARCB1 mutations were statistically linked to this group. The P group, including mainly early-diagnosed tumors, was linked with the most frequent and differential altered chromosomal regions in the array comparative genomic hybridization. The two most frequent groups according to the follow-up were the NP group (40%), and patients developing polyps in the first 5 years of follow-up (P 5FU) showed a mucinous component (50%). Our results show that the absence or presence of polyps in EOCRC is an important prognostic factor with differential phenotypes. The development of polyps during surveillance shows that it is necessary to extend the follow-up time, also in those cases with microsatellite-stable EOCRCThis work was funded by the Spanish Ministry of Health and ConsumerA airs and FEDER, grant number
