Csoportok és reprezentációik = Groups and their representations
Változatos kérdéseket vizsgáltunk a csoportelméletben, a csoportok reprezentációelméletében és más kapcsolódó absztrakt algebrai területeken. 39 tudományos dolgozatot publikáltunk, ezek nagy részét vezető nemzetközi folyóiratokban (pl. Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Duke Mathematical Journal, European Journal of Combinatorics, Journal of Algebra, Journal of Group Theory, Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society). Legfontosabb eredményeink a következők: Meghatároztuk a pozitiv karakterisztikájú globális testek feletti aritmetikai csoportok kongruenciarészcsoport-növekedését. Új példákat találtunk olyan csoportokra, amelyeknek izomorf a pro-véges lezárásuk. Teljes leirását adtuk azoknak a moduláris csoportalgebráknak, melyek Lie nilpotencia-indexe maximális. Csoportelméleti módszereket alkalmazva a loopok elméletében olyan (128 elemű) loopot konstruáltunk, amelynél a belső permutációk csoportja kommutativ és a loop nilpotnecia osztálya 3, ezzel Bruck egy 60 éves kérdésére adtunk választ. Az univerzális algebrában a véges moduláris hálók egy széles osztályára konstruáltunk véges kongruencia-reprezentációkat, mégpedig operátorcsoportok felhasználásával. A bonyolultságelméletben több algebrai problémát tanulmányoztunk. | We studied various questions in group theory, in representation theory of groups, and in related areas of abstract algebra. We published 39 research papers, many of them in leading international journals (for example, Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Duke Mathematical Journal, European Journal of Combinatorics, Journal of Algebra, Journal of Group Theory, Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society). The most important results are the following: We determined the congruence subgroup growth of arithmetic groups over global fields of positive characteristic. We found new examples of groups with isomorphic pro-finite closure. We gave a complete description of modular group algebras with maximal Lie nilpotency index. Applying group theoretic methods in loop theory, we constructed an example of a loop (of order 128) with an Abelian inner permutation group and of nilpotency class 3, thereby answering a 60-year old question of Bruck. In universal algebra we constructed finite congruence lattice representations for a large class of finite modular lattices, namely by using operator groups. In complexity theory we studied several algebraic problems. For example, we showed that for nonsolvable groups the checking of identities is an NP-complete problem

Foghiányokat kísérő egyszerű nukleotid polimorfizmusok hypodontiában = Single nucleotide polymorphisms in hypodontia
Komplex megközelítéssel tanulmányoztuk a fogcsírahiányban feltehetőleg résztvevő több egyszerű nukleotid polimorfizmust (SNP) a magyar populációban. A többszörös hipotézis tesztelésre alkalmasabb BN-BMLA analízist használva a PAX9 SNP-k szinergikus hatást adtak. A mi eredményeink is rávilágítanak a populációk közötti eltérések jelentőségére. | We studied the role of multiple single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in tooth agenesis in the Hungarian population using a complex approach. Eight SNPs of PAX9, MSX1, FGFR1, IRF6 and AXIN2 were studied in 192 hypodontia and 17 oligodontia cases and in 260 healthy volunteers. Case-control analysis was performed to test both allelic and genotypic associations as well as associations at the level of haplotypes. Multivariate exploratory Bayesian network based multilevel analysis of relevance (BN-BMLA) as well as logistic regression analysis were performed. Conventional statistics showed that PAX9 SNP -912 C/T and the MSX1 SNP changed the incidence of hypodontia, although after correction the effects were only borderline tendencies. Using a statistical analysis better suited for handling multiple hypotheses, the BN-BMLA, PAX9 SNPs clearly showed a synergistic effect. This was confirmed by other multivariate analyses and it remained significant after corrections for multiple hypothesis testing. The PAX9-1031-A-PAX9-912-T haplotype was the most relevant combination causing hypodontia. Interaction was weaker between PAX9 and MSX1, while other SNPs had no joint effect on hypodontia. Our complex analysis shows the important role of PAX9 and MSX1 SNPs and of their interactions in tooth agenesis, while IRF6, FGFR1 and AXIN2 SNPs had no detectable role in the Hungarian population. Our results also reveal the variations of risk factors in hypodontia
A DEAC-Hackers esport szakosztály mesterséges intelligencia oktatási és kutatási elképzelése a Minecraftban
A népszerű tömeges többszereplős számítógépes játékok használata a mesterséges általános intelligencia kutatásban tipikus napjainkban, mivel ezek a játékok ideális terepet biztosítanak az AGI ágensek teszteléséhez. A Microsoft például a Minecraftot használja erre a célra. A DEAC-Hackers a Debreceni Egyetem Atlétikai Clubjának (DEAC) esport szakosztálya. Jelen közleményünkben vázoljuk esport szakosztályunk mesterséges intelligencia oktatási és kutatási elképzelését a Minecraftban.
The DEAC-Hackers esport department's education and research concept in AI in Minecraft
The use of famous massively multiplayer computer games is quite common in AGI (artificial general intelligence) research today. Because these games can provide an ideal environment for testing of AGI agents. For example, Microsoft uses Minecraft for this purpose. From the beginning of 2020, it has already been possible to play Minecraft in DEAC-Hackers too. DEAC-Hackers is the esport department of the University of Debrecen Athletic Club (DEAC). In this paper we outline our esport department education and research concept in AI in Minecraft
Azonnali visszajelző rendszer bevezetése a kézhigiéné gyakorlatába intenzív osztályon = Implementation of immediate feedback system into hand hygiene practice in the intensive care unit
Absztrakt:
Bevezetés: A hospitalizált, és különösen a kritikus állapotú
páciensek körében 30–50%-ot is meghaladó incidenciával fordul elő nosocomialis
infekció, jelentősen rontva a morbiditási és mortalitási adatokat. A
megelőzésben a multimodális prevenciós stratégiák bizonyultak hatékonynak. Ezek
alappillére a megfelelő kézhigiénés gyakorlat, mely a kézfertőtlenítés helyes
gyakorlatát a kézfertőtlenítés technikájáról azonnali visszajelzést adó rendszer
bevezetésével és a kézhigiénés compliance ellenőrzésével.
Módszer: A Semmelweis Egyetem Aneszteziológiai és Intenzív
Terápiás Klinikájának Központi Intenzív Osztályán 2018 novemberében és
decemberében háromhetes megfigyeléses vizsgálatot végeztünk. Az ellátószemélyzet
kézhigiénés technikájára és compliance-ére vonatkozó adatokat Semmelweis
Scannerrel és direkt obszerváció során rögzítettük. A statisztikai elemzést
Kruskal–Wallis-próbával, Fisher-féle egzakt teszttel és χ2-teszttel
végeztük. Eredmények: Az elektronikus visszajelző rendszerrel
604 mérést rögzítettünk. A megfelelő kézfertőtlenítések aránya 86,5%, a
kézterületek lefedettségének medián értéke pedig 99,87% volt. A kézfertőtlenítés
technikájában konstansan magas trendet figyeltünk meg. A gyógytornászok
csoportjára alacsonyabb hibaarány volt jellemző a többi csoporttal szemben
(orvosok: p<0,01, ápolók: p = 0,03, segédápolók: p = 0,03). A direkt
Következtetés: A kézfertőtlenítés technikája a vizsgálat
Orv

Abstract:
Introduction: Infections affect about 30–50% of intensive care
unit patients resulting in substantial morbidity and mortality. Multimodal
interventions proved to be successful in the prevention of healthcare-associated
infections. Appropriate hand hygiene including correct disinfection technique
and timing is essential. Aim: The aim of our study was to
investigate the hand hygiene practice among the intensive care unit healthcare
workers by immediate feedback system implementation and compliance study.
Method: A 3-week-long observational study was conducted at
the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, Semmelweis University,
during November and December, 2018. Data regarding hand hygiene technique were
collected by using the Semmelweis Scanner technology, while compliance data were
recorded by direct observations. Statistical analysis was performed by
Kruskal–Wallis test, Fisher’s exact test and χ2-test.
Results: 604 measurements were recorded by the electronic
system. Hand disinfection was appropriate in 86.5% of cases. The median value of
coverage was 99.87%. The trend of these indices showed persistently high values.
A lower error rate was observed in the physiotherapy group compared to others
(doctors: p<0.01, nurses: p = 0.03, assistant nurses: p = 0.03). 162
opportunities were recorded during direct observations. The mean compliance rate
was 60.49%, with the lowest among doctors (53.97%). The difference was
non-significant compared to nurses (62.92%, p = 0.26).
Conclusions: Hand hygiene technique during the study period
was found to be highly and permanently appropriate, while compliance was lower
than expected. The immediate feedback system may be useful in achieving
appropriate hand disinfection technique, although further interventions are
needed for higher compliance rates. Orv Hetil. 2019; 160(49): 1957–1962
Modelling and Simulation of Asynchronous Real-Time Systems using Timed Rebeca
In this paper we propose an extension of the Rebeca language that can be used
to model distributed and asynchronous systems with timing constraints. We
provide the formal semantics of the language using Structural Operational
Semantics, and show its expressiveness by means of examples. We developed a
tool for automated translation from timed Rebeca to the Erlang language, which
provides a first implementation of timed Rebeca. We can use the tool to set the
parameters of timed Rebeca models, which represent the environment and
component variables, and use McErlang to run multiple simulations for different
settings. Timed Rebeca restricts the modeller to a pure asynchronous
actor-based paradigm, where the structure of the model represents the service
oriented architecture, while the computational model matches the network
infrastructure. Simulation is shown to be an effective analysis support,
specially where model checking faces almost immediate state explosion in an
asynchronous setting.Comment: In Proceedings FOCLASA 2011, arXiv:1107.584
Evaluation of an open access software for calculating glucose variability parameters of a continuous glucose monitoring system applied at pediatric intensive care unit.
BACKGROUND: Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) has become an increasingly investigated tool, especially with regards to monitoring of diabetic and critical care patients. The continuous glucose data allows the calculation of several glucose variability parameters, however, without specific application the interpretation of the results is time-consuming, utilizing extreme efforts. Our aim was to create an open access software [Glycemic Variability Analyzer Program (GVAP)], readily available to calculate the most common parameters of the glucose variability and to test its usability. METHODS: The GVAP was developed in MATLAB(R) 2010b environment. The calculated parameters were the following: average area above/below the target range (Avg. AUC-H/L); Percentage Spent Above/Below the Target Range (PATR/PBTR); Continuous Overall Net Glycemic Action (CONGA); Mean of Daily Differences (MODD); Mean Amplitude of Glycemic Excursions (MAGE). For verification purposes we selected 14 CGM curves of pediatric critical care patients. Medtronic(R) Guardian(R) Real-Time with Enlite(R) sensor was used. The reference values were obtained from Medtronic(R)'s own software for Avg. AUC-H/L and PATR/PBTR, from GlyCulator for MODD and CONGA, and using manual calculation for MAGE. RESULTS: The Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients were above 0.99 for all parameters. The initial execution took 30 minutes, for further analysis with the Windows(R) Standalone Application approximately 1 minute was needed. CONCLUSIONS: The GVAP is a reliable open access program for analyzing different glycemic variability parameters, hence it could be a useful tool for the study of glycemic control among critically ill patients
Agriculture in the Face of Changing Markets, Institutions and Policies: Challenges and Strategies
Since the late 1980s, agriculture in Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs) has been under considerable adjustment pressure due to changing political, economic and institutional environments. These changes have been linked to the transition process, as well as the ongoing integration into the European Union and the world market. Reduced subsidies, increased environmental and food quality demands, as well as structural changes in the supply, processing and food retailing sector call for major structural adjustments and the improvement of farmersâ managerial abilities. Though such changes always carry significant threats to farms, they also offer new opportunities for the farms' entrepreneurial engagement. Upcoming changes in the agricultural environment and their possible consequences for farm structures across Europe are thus still timely subjects. The objective of the IAMO Forum 2006 is to contribute to the success of agriculture in the CEECs, as well as their neighboring countries, in todayâs increasingly competitive environment. Concrete questions the conference focuses on are: What are the most suitable farm organizations, cooperative arrangements and contractual forms? How to improve efficiency and productivity? Where do market niches lie and what are the new product demands? This book contains 33 invited and selected contributions. These papers will be presented at the IAMO Forum 2006 in order to offer a platform for scientists, practitioners and policy-makers to discuss challenges and potential strategies at the farm, value chain, rural society and policy levels in order to cope with the upcoming challenges. IAMO Forum 2006, as well as this book, would not have been possible without the engagement of many people and institutions. We thank the authors of the submitted abstracts and papers, as well as the referees, for their evaluation of the abstracts from which the papers were selected. In particular, we would like to express our thanks to OLIVER JUNGKLAUS, GABRIELE MEWES, KLAUS REINSBERG and ANGELA SCHOLZ, who significantly contributed to the organization of the Forum. Furthermore, our thanks goes to SILKE SCHARF for her work on the layout and editing support of this book, and to JIM CURTISS, JAMIE BULLOCH, and DÃNALL Ã MEARÃIN for their English proof-reading. As experience from previous years documents, the course of the IAMO Forum continues to profit from the support and engagement of the IAMO administration, which we gratefully acknowledge. Last but not least, we are very grateful to the Robert Bosch Foundation, the Federal Ministry of Nutrition, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV), the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Haniel Foundation and the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Central and Eastern Europe (IAMO) for their respective financial support.Agribusiness, Community/Rural/Urban Development, Farm Management, Industrial Organization, International Development, Labor and Human Capital, Land Economics/Use, Productivity Analysis,
TNOs are cool: a survey of the transneptunian region
Over one thousand objects have so far been discovered orbiting beyond Neptune. These trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) represent the primitive remnants of the planetesimal disk from which the planets formed and are perhaps analogous to the unseen dust parent-bodies in debris disks observed around other main-sequence stars. The dynamical and physical properties of these bodies provide unique and important constraints on formation and evolution models of the Solar System. While the dynamical architecture in this region (also known as the Kuiper Belt) is becoming relatively clear, the physical properties of the objects are still largely unexplored. In particular, fundamental parameters such as size, albedo, density and thermal properties are difficult to measure. Measurements of thermal emission, which peaks at far-IR wavelengths, offer the best means available to determine the physical properties. While Spitzer has provided some results, notably revealing a large albedo diversity in this population, the increased sensitivity of Herschel and its superior wavelength coverage should permit profound advances in the field. Within our accepted project we propose to perform radiometric measurements of 139 objects, including 25 known multiple systems. When combined with measurements of the dust population beyond Neptune (e.g. from the New Horizons mission to Pluto), our results will provide a benchmark for understanding the Solar debris disk, and extra-solar ones as well
