IDENTIFIKASI MOTIVASI TENAGA KERJA PADA PERUSAHAAN JASA KONSULTAN KUALIFIKASI KECIL DI KOTA BANDA ACEH

ABSTRAKMotivasi kerja memiliki peranan yang penting dalam mendukung peningkatan kinerja perusahaan yang bergerak dalam jasa pelayanan konsultan. Hal ini disebabkan karena semakin bertambahnya saingan yang bermunculan setiap tahunnya. Oleh karena itu lapangan pekerjaan jasa konstruksi yang tersedia sangatlah terbatas, bagi perusahaan jasa konsultan harus mampu bersaing untuk lebih baik lagi dalam menangani setiap proyek konstruksi yang ada. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana motivasi dan kinerja yang diperoleh pada perusahaan jasa konsultan kualifikasi kecil di Kota Banda Aceh. Motivasi dan kinerjanya berkaitan dengan Teori Maslow yang di ukur berdasarkan karakteristik masing-masing perusahaan. Teori Hierarki Kebutuhan Maslow adalah teori motivasi yang menyatakan bahwa kebutuhan manusia tersusun dalam bentuk sebuah hierarki, berawal dari kebutuhan fisik hingga kebutuhan aktualisasi diri, sedangkan kinerja perusahaan di ukur berdasarkan karakteristik masing-masing perusahaan. Penulisan ini merupakan penelitian yang dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 35 perusahaan jasa konsultan kualifikasi kecil di Kota Banda Aceh. Pengolahan data menggunakan perhitungan statistik dengan memakai analisis frekuensi dan analisis deskriptif. Data diolah dengan menggunakan alat bantu komputasi program Spread Sheet. Ruang lingkup dalam penelitian ini dibatasi pada perusahaan konsultan yang berdomisili di Banda Aceh selama lebih dari 3 tahun serta pernah mengerjakan proyek sejak tahun 2014 sampai tahun 2017 dan perusahaan tersebut terdaftar di asosiasi Ikatan Nasional Konsultan Indonesia (INKINDO) dan asosiasi Persatuan Konsultan Indonesia (PERKINDO) tahun 2017. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa secara umum, tingkat motivasi pendirian perusahaan jasa konsultan di Kota Banda Aceh masih berada pada level kebutuhan sosial dengan nilai frekuensi sebesar 20 dan persentase 57,1%. PENGARUH LEVERAGE, FINANCIAL DISTRESS DAN GROWTH OPTIONS TERHADAP AKTIVITAS HEDGING (STUDI EMPIRIS PADA PERUSAHAAN NON-KEUANGAN YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA TAHUN 2012 -2014

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh leverage, financial distress, dan growth options terhadap probabilitas perusahaan melakukan aktivitas hedging dengan menggunakan instrumen derivatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah perusahaaan non-keuangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2012-2014. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan desain simple random sampling, dimana Perhitungan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus slovin, sehingga sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 210 perusahaan. Pengujian hipotesis digunakan dengan melakukan analisis regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel leverage, financial distress, dan growth options secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas hedging menggunakan instrumen derivatif. Secara parsial leverage berpengaruh positif terhadap aktivitas hedging menggunakan instrumen derivatif, sedangkan financial distress dan growth options tidak berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas hedging menggunakan instrumen derivatif.Kata kunci: Hedging, instrumen derivatif, leverage, financial distress, growth option

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TEAM BASED LEARNING TO ENHANCE STUDENTS’ LEARNING MOTIVATION

Team Based Learning (TBL) is a teaching strategy where students work together in small groups on a structured activity and it is presumably able to enhance students’ learning motivation and learning outcome. The data of this study were collected by using questionnaire, observation, interview and diary which used successively. Descriptive statistic and constant comparative method were used to analyze the data.The data analysis revealed that (1) TBL can enhance students’ learning motivation (2) Difficulties of TBL when it was applied in enhancing students’ learning motivation.The results of this study implies that TBL is strongly eligible to be implemented to enhance students learning motivation at class 9D Junior High School at Sragen, Central Java. As some difficulties are found in implementing TBL to improve students’ learning motivation, it is important for the teachers to be able to identify the problems that they are facing while implementing TBL by referring to previous study, discussing with the other teachers asking directly to students what they are feeling when TBL was implementing.Keywords:Team Based Learning, Students’ Learning Motivation

The Implementation of group work activities in teaching speaking at SMK N 1 Surabaya

Indonesian vocational high school students find difficult to speak and even understand English as the target Language even though they have learned English for more than 10 years. Some students are excellent in listening, writing and reading but very weak in speaking. One of teaching strategy that can encourage student with low speaking performance is a group work. This thesis discusses the implementation of group work activities in teaching speaking at SMK N 1 Surabaya. The purpose of this research are; 1) to know teacher’s techniques that use to implement group work activities in teaching students. 2) to know the impacts of using group work activities for low speaking performance students from teacher’s perspective. This research conducted in SMKN 1 Surabaya at grade 11 of broadcasting major. The researcher analyzes a class consisting 33 students and the teacher that teach in that class. This research used qualitative method because it described natural situation when the teacher implement group work activities in class room and the result of this research described in the form of words. The data collection through observation and interview highlight that teacher uses several ways to implement group work activities in classroom such as; using direct instruction to ask students to make a group, give a time limit to keeping the group work interesting, and make some rules to encourage students in speaking English. From teacher perspective, group work activity brings so many advantages for student’s speaking performance because the students can learn the language naturally from their friends. In conclusion, teacher should choose the kind of group work activities that will be presented in classroom based on student’s needs, comfort level, and the topic of lesson. Researcher suggests the teacher to use the group work activities for more efficient and effective teaching and learning process. Group work activities will fruitful for both the teacher and the students. The students will have the opportunity to learn the topic

ANALISIS KINERJA PEGAWAI DINAS PENDIDIKAN PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH ( Studi Pengamatan Pada Sub Bagian Umum dan Kepegawaian)

The purpose of this research is to know the correlation between employee ability, employee motivation, leadership, organizational climate, work relationship and initiative with employee performance in Education Office of Central Java Province (Observation Study at Sub Division General and Personnel). The population of 64 employees with samples taken as many as 39 employees. Hypothesis test using correlation pearson product moment to find out the correlation between each independent variable with dependent variable, and coefficient of determination analysis to measure how far the model ability in explain variation of independent variable. The findings of the results show that the hypothesis that there is a positive correlation between the ability of employees, employee motivation, leadership, organizational climate, employment relations and initiatives with the performance of employees of the Central Java Provincial Education Office (Observation Studies on Sub Division General and Personnel), can be received significantly the correlation coefficient value of each relationship is the correlation between the ability of employees with employee performance is 0.415, the correlation between employee motivation and employee performance is 0.313, the correlation between leadership with employee performance is 0.581, the correlation between organizational climate with employee performance is 0.577, correlation between employment relationship with employee performance is 0.210 and the correlation between initiative with employee performance is 0.561. For the coefficient of determination (R2) is shown in Kendall's W coefficient of 0.579

STUDENTS’ PERCEPTIONS OF THE USE OF POWER POINT SLIDE SHOW FOR TEACHING ENGLISH SUBJECT

The main purpose of this research is to find out the students’ perceptions of the use Power Point slide show for teaching English in the classroom. The population was the students of Madrasah TsanawiyahNegeriRasau Jaya in academic year 2012/2013 with a total number of 276 students. Then, the researcher chose seventh grade of MTs NegeriRasau Jaya students as the sample for this study. The tools used in collecting the data were questionnaire and interview technique (mixed method). The result of data analysis is first, some students of seventh grade of MTs.NegeriRasau Jaya perceived that the use of PowerPoint slide show had positive side, it was proved from the result of mean score from all participants reported that 4, 03 of the students perceived PowerPoint slide show is positive to be used because PowerPoint slide show can improve students’ grade. Also interactiononand communication between teachers and students became more interesting, joyful and relax. The second, there were some of students of seventh grade of MTs.NegeriRasau Jaya also perceived that the use of PowerPoint slide show had negative side, it was proved from the result of mean score from all participants that the mean score is 3, 96. It means that the students are neither agree nor disagree to the statements because PowerPoint slide show cannot be used in any kind of situation especially when there was not electricity this media cannot be used for teaching English in the classroom.Keywords: Students’ Perceptions, Power Point, Teaching Englis

Peran pedagang kaki lima di Kota Palangka Raya dalam memenuhi ekonomi masyarakat menurut perspektif ekonomi islam

Pedagang kaki lima di pasar malam menjajakan barang dagangan mengunakan gerobak atau lapak mengggunakan bahu jalan tempat pejalan kaki. Keberadaan mereka dapat mengganggu aktivitas pengguna jalan, namun di satu sisi dapat berperan dalam menyediakan kebutuhan ekonomi masyarakat. Fokus penelitian adalah (1) Latar belakang kehadiran pedagang kaki lima yang berdagang malam hari di Kota Palangka Raya. (2) Praktik pedagang kaki lima melakukan perdagangan di Kota Palangka Raya. (3) Respon masyarakat terhadap pedagang kaki lima yang berdagang malam hari di Kota Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian lapangan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Objek dari penelitian yaitu peran pedagang kaki lima di kota Palangka Raya dalam memenuhi ekonomi masyarakat menurut perspektif ekonomi Islam. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah para pedagang kaki lima yang berdagang pada malam hari di kota Palangka Raya. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) latar belakang kehadiran pedagang kaki lima dilatar belakangi oleh masalah ekonomi demi memenuhi kebutuhan hidup, kebanyakan dari mereka berasal dari luar daerah seperti Banjarmasin, Kalimantan barat, serta Jawa. (2) praktek pedagang kaki lima, mereka memperjualbelikaan barang yang tidak di produksi sendiri, dan pendapatan mereka bervariasi sesuai dengan barang dagangan, usaha mereka dalam memperjualbelikan barang dagangan, serta waktu dan keadaan cuaca saat berdagang. (3) Respon masyarakat, sangai baik terbukti dengan kesediaan mereka menerima keberadaan pedagang kaki lima dilingkungan tempat tinggal mereka. Selain itu memberikan jaminan keamanan di sekitar pasar malam, sehingga para pedagang kaki lima dapat mencari nafkah dengan tenang. ABSTRACT Hawker/Street Vendor in the night market selling merchandise using carts or stalls in the roadside. Their existence may interfere with the activities of road users, but on the one hand they play a role to provide the economic needs of the community. Research focus Perspective about : 1) The background of the presence of street vendors who trade at night in Palangkaraya. (2) The street vendors practice trading in Palangkaraya City. (3) The community response to street vendors who trade at night in Palangka Raya City. This research field research using descriptive qualitative approach. Objects the research that is the role of street vendors in the city of Palangka Raya in fulfilling the economy of society according to the perspective of Islamic economics. Subjects in this study are street vendors who trade at night in the city of Palangka Raya. This technique in data collection in this research that is using interview technique, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) the background of the presence of street vendors on the background of economic problems to meet the needs of life, most of them are from outside the region such as Banjarmasin, West Kalimantan, and Java. (2) The practice of hawkers/ street vendor, they sell goods that are not in their own production, and their income varies according to the merchandise, their business in trading merchandise, and the time and the weather conditions when trading. (3) Community responses are well proven by their willingness to accept the hawker/street vendors in their neighborhoods. In addition it provides security guarantees around the night market, so that street vendors can earn a living in peace

The Implementation of Team Based Learning (TBL) to Enhance Students’ Learning Motivation (A Study of Classroom Action Research at Junior High School Muhammadiyah Darul Ihsan in Academic Year of 2015/2016)

Dewi Rochsantiningsih, M.Ed, Ph.D. English Education Department, Graduate Progam, Sebelas Maret University. This study is aimed at investigating: (1) Whether and to what extent TBL can improve my students’ Learning motivation in teaching English subject; and (2) The difficulties in implementing TBL to enhance students’ learning motivation. This action research covered 3 cycles which was started from October to November 2016. The procedure of the research consists of identifying the problem, planning the action, implementing the action, observing the action, and reflecting the result of the research. The research was conducted at Junior High School Darul Ihsan Muhammadiyah Sragen from September to November 2016. The subject of the research was the ninth year students of Junior High School Darul Ihsan Muhammadiyah Sragen. This research employed the qualitative data and quantitative data collecting. Observing, distributing questionnaires, interviewing were executed to gain qualitative data, while the quantitative data were obtained through the percentage of questionnaire. To analyze qualitative data, it used Constant Comparative Method. It consists of four steps: (1) Comparing incidents applicable to each category; (2) Integrating categories and their properties; (3) delimiting the theory and (4) writing the theory. Meanwhile, to analyze quantitative data, it employed descriptive statistics. Based on the result of the research observation and interview, it shows that TBL can: (1) enhance students’ learning motivation. The improvement on students’ learning motivation showed that students have: (a) positive task orientation; (b) need for achievement; (c) high aspiration; (d) goal orientation and (e) perseverance. In addition, the improvement was also indicated from the result of questionnaire. The total percentage of questionnaire before the action was 55.14%, meanwhile in the cycle 1 was 58.28%, in the cycle 2 was 62.53%, and in the cycle 3 was 68.51%. (2) There are some difficulties of TBL when it is applied in enhancing students’ learning motivation including: (a) Avoiding the greater chance of conflict between individual learners which effects to students motivation in doing any activity when TBL is implemented; (b) Some students avoid doing any work in group activities and let others do it all and (c) Ensuring students to consider for individual pre class preparation. However, it is important because Lack of preparation places clear limits on both individual learning and team development. But, based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that students’ learning motivation could be enhanced by using TBL The results of this study imply that TBL can enhance students’ learning motivation. Therefore, TBL is strongly eligible to be implemented in the teaching and learning process at ninth year students of Junior High School Darul Ihsan Muhammadiyah Sragen, but the teachers have to be able to adjust its procedures with students’ condition, and time allocation they have. However, as some difficulties are found in implementing TBL to improve students’ learning motivation, it is important for the teachers to be able to identify the problems that they are facing while implementing TBL. The teacher was also suggested to solve the problems by referring to previous study, discussing with the other teachers or senior teachers to talk the problems, and asking directly to students what they are feeling when TBL was implanting. DINAMIKA TAFSIR DARI SEKTARIAN KE MODERAT: Studi Historis Tafsir-Tafsir Syi’ah

Abstrak Kitab-kitab tafsir dalam skala global, selalu menunjukkan adanya perubahan gejolak pemikiran. Salah satu yang kentara adalah sikap moderasi dalam tafsir. Seorang mufassir pasti memiliki wacana yang sesuai dengan latar belakang yang ia pegang teguh dalam penulisan tafsirnya, dan keniscayaan ini dibarengi dengan kemunculan berbagai wacana-wacana lain di luar background mufassir sendiri. Hal ini memicu perbedaan pilihan sikap mufassir menyikapi polivalensi wacana tafsir, antara membela dirinya atau memoderasi pemikirannya. Maka dalam tulisan ini penulis akan membahas Dinamika Tafsir dari Sektarian ke Moderat. Sumber primer penulis mengunakan  al-Ijttihajat al-Munharifat fi Tafsir al-Qur’an karya Hussein ad-Zahabi dan Muhammad Hadi Ma’rifat al Tafsir wa al Mufassirun fi Tsaubihi al Qasyib. Kitab-kitab tafsir Syiah menjadi potret yang jelas tentang perjalanan moderasi tafsir. Khazanah klasik Syiah memiliki kecenderungan berbeda dengan kontemporer, dari yang sangat menjunjung apologetik menuju sikap moderat. Thermodynamic Analysis of Glycerol Steam Reforming for Hydrogen Production

Glycerol is used in many applications including personal care, food, polymer, and pharmaceutical applications. Rapid growth in biodiesel industry is has resulted in an abundance production of glycerol that had led a huge drop in market prices. In this project, thermodynamic analysis of glycerol steam reforming, using the minimization of Gibbs energy has been evaluated. The thermodynamic equilibrium analysis is performed over the following variables range: pressure 1-50 atm, temperature 473-1073K, and water-to-glycerol feed ratio 0-5. The study revealed that the best conditions for producing hydrogen is at a temperature >973K and a molar ratio of water to glycerol of 5:1
