    Analisis Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Soal Cerita Himpunan oleh Mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Unib

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil postes dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah soal cerita himpunan oleh mahasiswa. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kelas B semester 1 Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UNIB TA 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 33 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar tes, dan angket terbuka. Alat analisisnya adalah tahapan pemecahan masalah menurut Polya yang terdiri dari: 1) Memahami Masalah; 2) Membuat Rencana; 3) Melakukan Rencana; dan 4) Melihat Kembali. Metode atau alur yang digunakan adalah: melaksanakan postes; memeriksa jawaban menggunakan tahapan pemecahan masalah Polya, menghitung prosentase tiap tahapan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Nilai rata-rata hasil postes = 61,82. 21,21 % jawabannya benar; 6,06 % jawabannya kosong; 72,73 % jawabannya salah. Bentuk kesalahannya adalah: 48,48 % salah isi diagram Vennnya; 72,73% salah operasi himpunannya; dan 36,36 % salah operasi aritmatikanya. Berdasarkan tahapan Polya disimpulkan: 1) Memahami Masalah: ada 66,67 % tidak menuliskan apa yang diketahui; 2) Membuat Rencana: 100 % tidak menuliskan rumus untuk mengisi diagram Venn; 3) Melakukan Rencana; 100 % menjawab pertanyaan berdasarkan gambar diagran Venn tanpa menuliskan rumusnya; 4) Melihat Kembali; 72, 73% tidak melihat kembali jawabannya. Disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa belum terbiasa menggunakan tahapan Polya dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah (KPM) mahasiswa dalam menyelesaian soal limit dan kekontinuan pada perkuliahan Analisis Real. Penelitian ini berupa penelitian ex post facto, yaitu suatu penelitian yang dilakukan untuk meneliti peristiwa yang telah terjadi dan kemudian merunut ke belakang untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat menimbulkan kejadian tersebut. Subjek sasaran dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program Pasca Sarjana Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UNIB yang mengambil matakuliah Analisis Real pada semester genap TA 2020/2021 yang berjumlah 13 orang. Instrumen penelitian adalah lembar tes dan lembar acuan analisis KPM menurut tahapan Polya yang terdiri dari : P1 Memahami Masalah; P2 Merencanakan Penyelesaian; P3 Melaksanakan Rencana; P4 Memeriksa Kembali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: nilai rata-rata hasil KPM mahasiswa = 75,47 dan kualifikasi baik. Nilai rata-rata KPM tiap tahapan Polya adalah: P1 = 88,46 ; P2 = 61,54 ; P3 = 60,15; P4 = 60.00. Artinya umumnya mahasiswa mampu memahami soal dengan kualifikasi sangat baik, namun untuk KPM mahasiswa tahap merencanakan, tahap melaksanakan rencana, dan tahap memeriksa kembali  termasuk kualifikasi cukup

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep operasi hitung bilangan bulat mata pelajaran matematika pada siswa kelas IV.1 SD Negeri Kleco I No.07 Surakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang berkolaborasi dengan guru kelas IV.1. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswasiswi kelas IV.1 yang berjumlah 40 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, tes, catatan lapangan, dan Dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode interaktif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan papan magnetik dan CD warna dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep operasi hitung bilangan bulat mata pelajaran matematika siswa kelas IV.1 SD N Kleco I No. 07 Surakarta. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari 1) Kemampuan siswa untuk dapat menghitung bilangan bulat sebelum tindakan 46,15% dan setelah tindakan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 94,87%, 2) Kemampuan dalam menyelesaikan masalah sebelum tindakan 33,34% dan setelah tindakan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 87,17%, 3) kemampuan dalam menjelaskan konsep-konsep sebelum tindakan 23,07% dan setelah tindakan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 89,74%. Berdasarkan penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan papan magnetik dan CD warna dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep operasi hitung bilangan bulat dalam pembelajaran matematika pada siswa kelas IV.1 SD N Kleco I No. 07 Surakarta

    A TRANSLATION ANALYSIS OF ADDRESS TERMS IN THE NOVEL POWER CRAZY MS WIZ BY TERENCE BLACKER TRANSLATED INTO MS WIZ GILA KUASA BY NOVIA STEPHANI

    Nowadays, some people prefer the novel rather than any consolation to get something educating and amusing. Moreover, people have many choices to determine what kind of novel to read since there are so many novels sold in Indonesia. However, they are dominated by foreign authors and mostly written in English. Power-Crazy Ms Wiz is one of the novels that comes from abroad. It is one of children novels written by Terence Blacker in English. Since only a few Indonesians master English, Novia stephanie translates Power-Crazy Ms Wiz into Indonesian. A good translator is not enough mastering the grammatical factors. In translating, the translator faces some problems because translation activities do not only deal with transferring words from the source language into the target language, but also deal with the most important thing, e.g., transfering the message, meaning, and culture from the source language into the target language. Therefore, a translator also should master the cultural aspect of the source language and the target language since each country has their own cultural background. Moreover, a translator should consider the society of the speakers whether they have different social status or not. One of the problems which may arise in translating a novel is translating English personal pronouns as one of the personal references. According to Halliday and Hasan (1975:43), the category personals includes the three classes of personal pronouns, possessive determiners, and possessive pronouns. In the novel entitled Power-Crazy Ms Wiz, there are some terms of address and their different translation. Second person address can be be plural or singular and function as subject, object or vocative. Vocative is a word or phrase used to address a reader or listener directly, usually in the form of a personal name, title, or term of endearment, for example “ Peter, please pass the pepper”. (http://grammar.about.com/od/tz/g/vocativeterm.htm) English personal pronouns for addressing is “you”. “You” can be translated into Indonesian as kamu, engkau, kau, anda, saudara dan kalian. In reality, people use another form of second person address, for instance words for kinship relationship such as Mother, Father, Son, etc. Besides, there are words to show a person’s rank or occupation such as Prime Minister, Lady, Sir, etc. English address terms can be translated in several forms in Indonesian since there are many kinds of words to address someone such as pronouns (engkau, kamu, anda, kalian), title (dokter, Menteri, Profesor), names (Andi, Dika, Ika), kinship (ayah, ibu, kakak, adik), etc. Moreover, Indonesian considers the age, social status, sex, and intimacy in every situation. The problem of translating address terms can be solved if the translator applies some techniques in order to produce quality translation. Larson (1984: 485) states that a translator is concerned that the result of his work be a good quality translation. A translation which does not effectively communicate the message of the source text is of limited value. To make things clear, the researcher gives some examples of second person address translation in the children novel entitled Power-Crazy Ms Wiz. Example 1: 4. Podge meets Ms Wiz in the fair. Podge : SL: Ms Wiz!, what are you doing here? TL: Ms Wiz!, Apa yang anda lakukan di sini? From the example above, it can be seen that the type of translation variation of address terms used in the text is in the form of pronoun. The translator translates the pronoun “you” lexically to find the appropriate receptor language equivalences. The translator decides to translate “you” into “Anda” because the addressor is younger than addressee. Example 2: 78. Prime Minister said to Marjorie that he wants to speak to the nation with Ms Wiz. Marjorie: SL : B-but, sir. TL : T-tapi, sir. In the second example, the type of translation variation of address terms used is in the form of title. In translating the address terms “sir”, the translator applies pure borrowing as the technique. The translation is accurate but it sounds unnatural. It will be better if the translator translates the word “sir” into “Pak” or “Tuan”. The translation using the word “Pak” or “Tuan” will produce accurate and acceptable translation. Example 3: 69. The Prime Minister said that he is not going to make a speech. People: SL : Run out of words, have you? TL : Kehabisan kata-kata, ya, In the example above, the translator applies omission technique. The message of the source language can be conveyed accurately to the target language. Without translating the word “you”, the translation still sounds natural. However, the text also can be translated into “Anda kehabisan kata-kata ya,”. Example 4: 120. This dialogue happens when Podge goes home. He meets his parents. Podge: SL: You mean about the books and the biscuits and St Barbanas? TL: Maksud Ayah tentang buku dan biskuit dan St Barbanas? Example above shows that the translation technique applied by the translation is adaptation. As we seen that the source language uses the type of address term in the form of pronoun “You”. However, the translator translates into the kinship term “Ayah”. It is done since the participants of this dialogue are Podge as a son and her father, Mr. Harris. They have different age and social status. The application of adaptation technique does not ruin the message. The message is conveyed accurately. Moreover, adaptation makes the translation natural since the translation is appropriate with the target language culture Based on the phenomena, the researcher tries to investigate translation techniques used by the translator and the translation quality of address terms in the novel entitled Power Crazy Ms Wiz

    Building Student Abilities: Making Reports And Demonstrations Through Project-Based Learning

    The Project-Based Learning (PjBL) Model was used to carry out Primary Level Mathematics Capita Selecta Learning. PjBL was used in seven steps: 1) Discussing the syllabus, materials, groups, math problem, math props, and report form; 2) Collecting data, write reports, and create math props; 3) Presentation; 4) Revising the report in light of the discussion's findings; 5) Reports are being uploaded in revised form; 6) Each group assesses the report of the other group; 7) Implementing Posttest. The purpose of this study was to determine students' creativity and teaching ability in PjBL in the Subject Primary Level Capita Selecta Learning in 2019/2020. The subjects were class B of the fourth semester of Mathematics Education FKIP UNIB2019/2020, with a total of 28 students. This research was conducted ex-post facto, which means that it examined events that had already occurred and then traced back to determine the factors that caused these events. The instrument used to collect information about student creativity was developed as a result of group evaluations of previous group reports. Post-test results are used to calculate the value of learning ability. The results were obtained after the data was processed: The average report score for each group was 83.88, the post-test average score was 85.85, and both were categorized as very good

    Tax is one source of revenue that is essential for the administration and development. Tax revenues are used to finance the construction of which is useful for the common good. The governments commitment to not rely on foreign debt and oil revenues make tax revenue as the backbone of the government to finance its activities. The governments efforts to increase tax revenue is one done through reform of the tax system, particularly the modern tax administration. But this has not succeeded optimally, is seen where tax revenues are still far from the expected tax potential. So that no indication is still not optimal level of effectiveness of the preparation and use of a list of taxpayers (master file), organizational structure and taxation procedures performed in DJP Jakarta I. Thus the purpose of this study was to determine whether the effectiveness of the preparation and use of a list of taxpayers (master files), organizational structure and procedures of taxation effect on tax revenue either partially or simultaneously. Based on the results of the study showed that the effectiveness of the preparation and use of a list of taxpayers (master file), organizational structure and procedures of taxation can be said to have been effective, but not optimal so that needs to be improved further. Then based on test results that the preparation and use of a list of taxpayers (master file), organizational structure and procedures of taxation influence simultaneously to tax revenues amounted to 79.77% and 20.23% influenced by other factors.     Diagnosis Kesalahan Peserta Didik dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Segiempat dan Segitiga Kelas VII SMP Negeri 14 Kota Bengkulu Berdasarkan Teori Newman

    Latar belakang masalah dari penelitian ini adalah banyak peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaiakan soal tentang segi empat dan segitiga sehingga melakukan kesalahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal segiempat dan segitiga berdasarkan teori Newman. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VII.3 SMP Negeri 14 Kota Bengkulu tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Teknik data menggunakan tes tertulis dan wawancara. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah soal tes yang dianalisis menggunakan indikator kesalahan Newman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data bahwa peserta didik melakukan (1) kesalahan membaca soal sebesar 30%;(2) pemahaman pemahaman soal sebesar 41%; (3) kesalahan transformasi soal sebesar 0%; (4) proses kesalahan keterampilan sebesar 20%; dan (5) kesalahan jawaban jawaban akhir sebesar 9% Kata kunci: Diagnosis 1, Teori Newman, Segiempat dan Segitiga
