    Dynamism of Knowledge Organization, particularly its relation to UDC

    [Abstract] This paper aims to explore the dynamism of Knowledge Organization from stability through extension to development, studying the theory and practice of concordance between different editions of UDC (Universal Decimal Classification), particularly in Hungary. Consideration is given to the principles, demands, changes and possibilities of UDC in the different Hungarian editions, evidencing general conclusions to the dynamism of Knowledge Organization. There were nine abridged editions of UDC since the Second World War including the last one in 2005, which was approximately ten years after the previous one. After the last Hungarian edition users, particularly librarians, waited for the concordance between two editions (1991 and 2005), because a similar concordance was also set up after the earlier two editions. The concordance can help librarians to use the new version whilst also maintaining and adapting the information from earlier editions. The last edition (2005) was based on the database of UDC MRF (UDC Master Reference File) at that time and it is hoped that it helps to set the concordance

Tulisan ini menjukkan bahwa Penegakkan hukum dalam menanggulangi kerusakan hutan konservasi Cagar Alam Tanjung Panjang sebagai salah satu upaya penanggulangan terhadap tindak pidana kejahatan lingkungan hidup dan kehutanan berdasarkan hukum yang telah ada, yang mana sebagai akibat dari kerusakan hutan ini dapat menimbulkan banyak kerugian baik pada pemerintah, hutan berserta lingkungan hidup dan ekosistemnya, masyarakat, juga segala kehidupan yang mulai langka baik flora maupun faunanya.     PENYAKIT KECACINGAN DAN STATUS GIZI ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR DI PEMUKIMAN KUMUH KOTAMADYA UJUNG PANDANG

    Helminthiasis and nutritional status of school-age children were studied in an slum areas in Ujung Pandang municipality. Two primary schools, namely Galangan Kapal I and II, have been selected for this study. 503 childrens grade I -III which consist of 271 boys (53.9%) and 232 girls (46.1%) were taken from both schools. Fecal examination were quantitatively performed to look at degrees of helminth infections, which is ascariasis, trichuriasis, and hookworm infection. Weight, height, and arm circumference were measured as indices of nutritional status. It was found that prevalence of ascariasis and trichuriasis were very high, 92.1% and 98.2% respectively. In addition, 90.2% of the children were infected with both Ascarias and Trichuris. Conversely, hook worm infection was very low (1.4%). Using international standard NCHS-WHO, it showed that most children were mild and moderate malnutrition in all indices of nutritional status. There was no significant association between helminthiasis and nutritional status in this cross-sectional study. Given high level of helminthiasis and malnutrition, though, efforts to reduce both prevalences are much needed. Key Words: helminthiasis, nutritional status, school-age children, slum area

    THE CHEMICAL QUALITIES OF FERMENTED DUCK IMMERSED WITH DIFFERENT LEVELS OF L. plantarum AND STORED UNDER LOW TEMPERATURE. The objective of this research was study the effect of soaking time on chemical (pH, water content, acetic acid content and total lactic acid bacteria) of duck meat fermentation using L. plantarum. Ducks was done by soaking duck meat in culture L.plantarum and stroraged at cooling temperature. Soaking was done with different level of L. plantarum. This experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design consisted of five levels of L. plantarum. Data were analyzed by variance analysis. Significantly difference treatment effects on variable measures were tested using honestly significant difference (HSD). The result showed that treatments had significantly difference (P0,05) on water content and acetic acid content of duck meat fermentation. Therefore, it can be concluded that soaking at 15% level of L. plantarum and storage at cooling temperature can conserve duck meat until 16 days and ducks fermentation were still constant.     Probiotic are living microorganisms if consumed will be provided a therapeutic effect on healthy consumers by improving the microflora balance in digestive tracts. The utilization of probiotics could be implemented by using varied applications which would provide benefits for either human or animal health. The aims of this study were to evaluate the quality of Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) as probiotic such as Lactobacillus plantarum YN 1.3 and Lactobacillus pentosus YN 1.6 and L.plantarum YN 1.1. after freeze drying used Zinc and different binding agents. The binding agent is used ie maltodextrin, rice flour and skim milk. The results of this experiment showed that LABdecrease after freeze drying where L. plantarum YN 1.3    utilizing maltodextrin decrease 1.21 (Log cfu / g), utilizing rice flour decreased 1.66 (Log cfu / g) and utilizing skim milk LAB decrease 1.04 (Log cfu / g ). LAB of L. pentosus YN 1.6 utilizing maltodextrin decrease 1.25 (Log cfu / g), utilizing rice flour decrease 2.11 (Log cfu / g) and utilizing skim milk decrease 1.00 (Log cfu / g). Although total lactic acid bacteria was decreased after freeze drying, but overall dried culture still better as probiotic bacteria. Anti microbial activity of starter culture showed that Probiotic bacteria have the ability to inhibit all of indicator bacteria such as Salmonella, E. coli, S. aureus and B. cereus as pathogens bacteria. Evaluation for color showed that dry culture used maltodextrin given the best appearance. The conclution of this research is that probiotic bacteria L. plantarum YN 1.3 with zinc and maltodextrin as binding agent is the best product after freeze dryng

    Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep psikoanalisis karena adanya kecenderungan kecemasan neurotik pada karakter utama di Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, sebuah novel karya Roald Dahl. Studi ini mengkaji karakter kepribadian Willy Wonka sebagai tokoh utama yang mengarah pada kecemasan neurotik yang dipengaruhi oleh tiga sistem kepribadian, yaitu id, ego, dan superego. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aspek apa saja yang membuat Willy Wonka mengalami kecemasan neurotik dan tindakan yang dilakukan untuk meminimalkan rasa kecemasan tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa Willy Wonka mengalami rasa cemas, gugup, dan panik akibat pengalaman traumatis sejak dulu. Oleh sebab itu, Willy Wonka sengaja mengadakan kompetisi sebagai bentuk alasan bagi mekanisme pertahanan dirinya untuk berpikir mencari cara terbaik dalam mengurangi kecemasannya sementara waktu. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman pikiran manusia dan objek signifikansi antara sastra dan kondisi psikologis

    FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN ANEMIA PADA REMAJA DI INDONESIA (ANALISIS DATA RISKESDAS 2007 )

    Pertumbuhan yang pesat selama remaja memerlukan banyak zat besi, baik remaja pria terlebih remaja putri sangat rentan terhdap anemia jika tidak didukung dengan suplai zat besi yang cukup. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan tingkat pendidikan, status ekonomi, dan infeksi malaria terhadap kejadian anemia di Indonesia berdasarkan data Riskesdas tahun 2007. Jenis penelitian adalah observasional dengan rancangan cross sectional study. Populasi dari data sekunder Riskesdas tahun 2007 yang pengambilan datanya dilakukan pada Agustus 2007 - Januari 2008. Sampel penelitian diambil melalui proses seleksi kriteria seperti umur, status kehamilan, dan peyakit infeksi dan kronis yang pernah diderita, serta memiliki variabel yang sedang diteliti secara lengkap. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah bivariat dan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara tingkat ,pendidikan dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja di Indonesia (p=0,000). Tidak ada hubungan status ekonomi di Indonesia (p=0,963) dan infeksi malaria terhadap kejadian anemia di Indonesia (p=0,641). Kasus anemia di beberapa pulau tergolong dalam masalah ringan dan masalah sedang kesehatan masyarakat. Disarankan peningkatan pengetahuan melalui proses penyebarluasan informasi tentang anemia pada remaja di sekolah-sekolah, serta program suplementasi zat besi perlu dilakukan oleh pemerintah

    Effect of Honey Variation on Blood Glucose Level in Pregnant Wistar Rats (Rattus norvegicus)

    BACKGROUND: In addition to Moringa one of the food products that are often used as supplements is honey. Honey contains carbohydrates and content of antioxidants and other active substances needed during pregnancy. AIM: This study aimed to look at the effect of the intervention on the blood glucose levels of normal white pregnant Wistar strain of Moringa honey, honey plus Moringa or natural honey interventions. METHODS: This research method uses a quantitative research with experimental lab research type. With a completely randomized pre-test-post-test controlled completely randomized research design. The samples in this study were 24 white Wistar pregnant rats, divided into four groups, the control group, the honey group, the honey plus Moringa group, and the Moringa honey group, each consisting of six animals. The intervention was carried out for 20 days with initial BB measurements pregnancy (pre) and end of pregnancy (post). Data analysis used paired t-test and one-way ANOVA test. RESULTS: GD levels showed a significant decrease in GD levels in all groups at the end of pregnancy with a p < 0.05, but a decrease in GD levels between groups did not show a significant difference at the end of the study, the control group (82.33 ± 8.98), honey (83.83 ± 6.67), plus honey (73.17 ± 10.92), and Moringa honey (73.00 ± 6.45) with a p = 0.065 > 0.05. CONCLUSION: It shows that honey variation has the effect of controlling blood glucose levels during pregnancy

    HUBUNGAN POLA KONSUMSI DENGAN STATUS HEMOGLOBIN ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR DI WILAYAH PESISIR KOTA MAKASSAR

    Anak usia sekolah dasar yaitu antara umur 6-12 tahun merupakan masa saat mereka mengalami growth spurt (percepatan pertumbuhan) yang kedua setelah masa balita. Kelompok ini rentan terhadap anemia zat besi karena kebutuhan zat besi selama masa ini meningkat dengan adanya pertumbuhan jaringan yang cepat dan kenaikan massa sel darah merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola konsumsi dengan status hemoglobin anak sekolah dasar diwilayah pesisir Kota Makassar tahun 2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah cross sectional study, dilakukan di 5 sekolah dasar di wilayah pesisir kota Makassar pada bulan April-Mei 2013 dengan tehnik purposive sampling, berjumlah 141 responden. Penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara frekuensi konsumsi makanan sumber zat besi heme (p=0,008) dan frekuensi konsumsi makanan sumber pelancar absorbsi zat besi (p=0,024) dengan status hemoglobin anak sekolah dasar, tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara frekuensi konsumsi makanan sumber zat besi nonheme (p=0,232) dan frekuensi konsumsi makanan penghambat absorbsi zat besi (p=0,466) dengan status hemoglobin anak sekolah dasar di wilayah pesisir kota Makassar tahun 2013. Prevalensi anemia sebanyak 37,6% termasuk dalam masalah gizi tingkat moderat. Orang tua siswa sebaiknya memperhatikan pola konsumsi anaknya agar meningkatkan konsumsi makanan yang mengandung zat gizi yang cukup, terutama konsumsi buah dan sayur
