Report number: FERMILAB-PUB-10-125-EWe combine results from searches by the CDF and D0 collaborations for a standard model Higgs boson (H) in the process gg->H->W+W- in p=pbar collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider at sqrt{s}=1.96 TeV. With 4.8 fb-1 of integrated luminosity analyzed at CDF and 5.4 fb-1 at D0, the 95% Confidence Level upper limit on \sigma(gg->H) x B(H->W+W-) is 1.75 pb at m_H=120 GeV, 0.38 pb at m_H=165 GeV, and 0.83 pb at m_H=200 GeV. Assuming the presence of a fourth sequential generation of fermions with large masses, we exclude at the 95% Confidence Level a standard-model-like Higgs boson with a mass between 131 and 204 GeV.We combine results from searches by the CDF and D0 collaborations for a standard model Higgs boson (H) in the process gg→H→W+W- in pp̅ collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider at √s=1.96  TeV. With 4.8  fb-1 of integrated luminosity analyzed at CDF and 5.4  fb-1 at D0, the 95% confidence level upper limit on σ(gg→H)×B(H→W+W-) is 1.75 pb at mH=120  GeV, 0.38 pb at mH=165  GeV, and 0.83 pb at mH=200  GeV. Search for supersymmetry via associated production of charginos and neutralinos in final states with three leptons

    Get PDF
A search for associated production of charginos and neutralinos is performed using data recorded with the D0 detector at a p (p) over bar center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. This analysis considers final states with missing transverse energy and three charged leptons, of which at least two are electrons or muons. No evidence for supersymmetry is found in a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 320 pb(-1). Limits on the product of the production cross section and leptonic branching fraction are set. For the minimal supergravity model, a chargino lower mass limit of 117 GeV at the 95% C.L. is derived in regions of parameter space with enhanced leptonic branching fractions

Search for doubly charged Higgs boson pair production in the decay to mu(+)mu(+)mu(-)mu(-) in p(p)over-bar collisions at root s=1.96 TeV

    Get PDF
A search for pair production of doubly charged Higgs bosons in the process p (p) over bar -->H++H---->mu(+)mu(+)mu(-)mu(-) is performed with the D0 run II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The analysis is based on a sample of inclusive dimuon data collected at an energy of roots=1.96 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 113 pb(-1). In the absence of a signal, 95% confidence level mass limits of M(H-L(+/-+/-))>118.4 GeV/c(2) and M(H-R(+/-+/-))>98.2 GeV/c(2) are set for left-handed and right-handed doubly charged Higgs bosons, respectively, assuming 100% branching into muon pairs

Measurement of the Semileptonic Branching Ratio of Bs(0) to an Orbitally Excited D-s** State: Br(Bs(0) -> Ds1(-)(2536)mu(+)nu X)

In a data sample of approximately 1.3fb-1 collected with the D0 detector between 2002 and 2006, the orbitally excited charm state Ds1±(2536) has been observed with a measured mass of 2535.7±0.6(stat)±0.5(syst) MeV/c2 via the decay mode Bs0→Ds1-(2536)μ+νμX. A first measurement is made of the branching ratio product Br(b̄→Ds1-(2536) μ+νμX)×Br(Ds1-→D*-KS0). Assuming that Ds1-(2536) production in semileptonic decay is entirely from Bs0, an extraction of the semileptonic branching ratio Br(Bs0→Ds1-(2536)μ+νμX) is made. © 2009 The American Physical Society

Search for the Higgs boson in H ---> WW(*) decays in p anti-p collisions at s**(1/2) = 1.96-TeV.

    Get PDF
We present a search for the standard model Higgs boson in HWW(*) decays with e+e-, e±µ, and µ+µ- final states in p collisions at a center-of-mass energy of =1.96 TeV. The data, collected from April 2002 to June 2004 with the D0 detector, correspond to an integrated luminosity of 300–325 pb-1, depending on the final state. The number of events observed is consistent with the expectation from backgrounds. Limits from the combination of all three channels on the Higgs boson production cross section times branching ratio ×BR(HWW(*)) are presented
