S-Duality for Linearized Gravity
We develope the analogue of S-duality for linearized gravity in
(3+1)-dimensions. Our basic idea is to consider the self-dual (anti-self-dual)
curvature tensor for linearized gravity in the context of the
Macdowell-Mansouri formalism. We find that the strong-weak coupling duality for
linearized gravity is an exact symmetry and implies small-large duality for the

Randomized Reference Classifier with Gaussian Distribution and Soft Confusion Matrix Applied to the Improving Weak Classifiers
In this paper, an issue of building the RRC model using probability
distributions other than beta distribution is addressed. More precisely, in
this paper, we propose to build the RRR model using the truncated normal
distribution. Heuristic procedures for expected value and the variance of the
truncated-normal distribution are also proposed. The proposed approach is
tested using SCM-based model for testing the consequences of applying the
truncated normal distribution in the RRC model. The experimental evaluation is
performed using four different base classifiers and seven quality measures. The
results showed that the proposed approach is comparable to the RRC model built
using beta distribution. What is more, for some base classifiers, the
truncated-normal-based SCM algorithm turned out to be better at discovering

Aerothermodynamic Analysis of a Reentry Brazilian Satellite
This work deals with a computational investigation on the small ballistic
reentry Brazilian vehicle SARA (acronyms for SAt\'elite de Reentrada
Atmosf\'erica). Hypersonic flows over the vehicle SARA at zero-degree angle of
attack in a chemical equilibrium and thermal non-equilibrium are modeled by the
Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method, which has become the main
technique for studying complex multidimensional rarefied flows, and that
properly accounts for the non-equilibrium aspects of the flows. The emphasis of
this paper is to examine the behavior of the primary properties during the high
altitude portion of SARA reentry. In this way, velocity, density, pressure and
temperature field are investigated for altitudes of 100, 95, 90, 85 and 80 km.
In addition, comparisons based on geometry are made between axisymmetric and
planar two-dimensional configurations. Some significant differences between
these configurations were noted on the flowfield structure in the reentry
trajectory. The analysis showed that the flow disturbances have different
influence on velocity, density, pressure and temperature along the stagnation
streamline ahead of the capsule nose. It was found that the stagnation region
is a thermally stressed zone. It was also found that the stagnation region is a
zone of strong compression, high wall pressure. Wall pressure distributions are
compared with those of available experimental data and good agreement is found

Direct determination of the solar neutrino fluxes from solar neutrino data
We determine the solar neutrino fluxes from a global analysis of the solar
and terrestrial neutrino data in the framework of three-neutrino mixing. Using
a Bayesian approach we reconstruct the posterior probability distribution
function for the eight normalization parameters of the solar neutrino fluxes
plus the relevant masses and mixing, with and without imposing the luminosity
constraint. This is done by means of a Markov Chain Monte Carlo employing the
Metropolis-Hastings algorithm. We also describe how these results can be
applied to test the predictions of the Standard Solar Models. Our results show
that, at present, both models with low and high metallicity can describe the

Cardiac Parasympathetic Reactivation in Elite Soccer Players During Different Types of Traditional High-Intensity Training Exercise Modes and Specific Tests: Interests and Limits
Background: The cardiac parasympathetic reactivation is currently used in soccer with a daily or weekly monitoring. However, previous studies have not investigated how this cardiac parasympathetic reactivation is in elite soccer players along different types of traditional high-intensity training exercise and specific tests. In this context, the present study aim to analyse it and to determine the interests and limits of this type of physiological information.
Objectives: The present study aims to examine how different traditional training exercise modes affect the cardiac parasympathetic reactivation function in elite soccer players.
Materials and Methods: Twenty-two international soccer players participating in UEFA Champion’s League took part in this study (age: 24.3 ± 4.2 years; height: 178.1 ± 6.2 cm; body mass: 80.3 ± 5.7 kg). Players performed different training methods including: short-duration intermittent exercises (INT) in-line and with changes of direction (COD) (10 - 10 seconds, 15 - 15 seconds, 30 - 30 seconds, e.g. an alternance of 10 - 10 seconds is 10 seconds of running according to the maximal aerobic speed (MAS) and 10-sec of recovery), INT including agility and technical skills (8 - 24-seconds), small-sided-games (SSGs) with and without goalkeepers (2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3, 4 vs. 4), and repeated sprint ability (RSA) efforts (10 × 20 m, 10 × 30 m, 15 × 20 m). Heart rate (HR) decline was recorded 3 minutes after each exercise.
Results: HR declines were greater after the RSA compared to SSGs (P < 0.001) and INT (P < 0.01), especially at 1 min post-exercise. In addition, when the analysis focused on each type of exercise, greater HR declines were observed in on-field players at 1 minute when there was: inclusion of goalkeepers in SSGs (for 2 vs. 2 and 3 vs. 3, P < 0.01); increase of sprint distances or number of sprint repetitions in RSA (P < 0.01); increase of intensity (% of maximal aerobic speed), and the use of COD or inclusion of technical skills during INT, especially for the 30 - 30-seconds.
Conclusions: This study revealed that cardiac parasympathetic reactivation function varied after INT, RSA and SSG, but also according to the rules manipulation. Therefore, this study provides interesting information for the training monitoring and players’ recovery profile, with the aim of facilitating a more efficient planning and manipulation of training recovery strategies according to their fitness markers
Mass hierarchy, 2-3 mixing and CP-phase with Huge Atmospheric Neutrino Detectors
We explore the physics potential of multi-megaton scale ice or water
Cherenkov detectors with low ( GeV) threshold. Using some proposed
characteristics of the PINGU detector setup we compute the distributions of
events versus neutrino energy and zenith angle , and study
their dependence on yet unknown neutrino parameters. The
regions are identified where the distributions have the highest sensitivity to
the neutrino mass hierarchy, to the deviation of the 2-3 mixing from the
maximal one and to the CP-phase. We evaluate significance of the measurements
of the neutrino parameters and explore dependence of this significance on the
accuracy of reconstruction of the neutrino energy and direction. The effect of
degeneracy of the parameters on the sensitivities is also discussed. We
estimate the characteristics of future detectors (energy and angle resolution,
volume, etc.) required for establishing the neutrino mass hierarchy with high
confidence level. We find that the hierarchy can be identified at --
level (depending on the reconstruction accuracies) after 5 years of

Analysis reuse exploiting taxonomical information and belief assignment in industrial problem solving
To take into account the experience feedback on solving complex problems in business is deemed as a way to improve the quality of products and processes. Only a few academic works, however, are concerned with the representation and the instrumentation of experience feedback systems. We propose, in this paper, a model of experiences and mechanisms to use these experiences. More specifically, we wish to encourage the reuse of already performed expert analysis to propose a priori analysis in the solving of a new problem. The proposal is based on a representation in the context of the experience of using a conceptual marker and an explicit representation of the analysis incorporating expert opinions and the fusion of these opinions. The experience feedback models and inference mechanisms are integrated in a commercial support tool for problem solving methodologies. The results obtained to this point have already led to the definition of the role of ‘‘Rex Manager’’ with principles of sustainable management for continuous improvement of industrial processes in companies
Impact of metabolic comorbidity on the association between body mass index and heatlh-related quality of life: a Scotland-wide cross-sectional study of 5,608 participants
<p/>Background: The prevalence of obesity is rising in Scotland and globally. Overall, obesity is associated with increased morbidity, mortality and reduced health-related quality of life. Studies suggest that "healthy obesity" (obesity without metabolic comorbidity) may not be associated with morbidity or mortality. Its impact on health-related quality of life is unknown.
<p/>Methods: We extracted data from the Scottish Health Survey on self-reported health-related quality of life, body mass index (BMI), demographic information and comorbidity. SF-12 responses were converted into an overall health utility score. Linear regression analyses were used to explore the association between BMI and health utility, stratified by the presence or absence of metabolic comorbidity (diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia or cardiovascular disease), and adjusted for potential confounders (age, sex and deprivation quintile).
<p/>Results: Of the 5,608 individuals, 3,744 (66.8%) were either overweight or obese and 921 (16.4%) had metabolic comorbidity. There was an inverted U-shaped relationship whereby health utility was highest among overweight individuals and fell with increasing BMI. There was a significant interaction with metabolic comorbidity (p = 0.007). Individuals with metabolic comorbidty had lower utility scores and a steeper decline in utility with increasing BMI (morbidly obese, adjusted coefficient: -0.064, 95% CI -0.115, -0.012, p = 0.015 for metabolic comorbidity versus -0.042, 95% CI -0.067, -0.018, p = 0.001 for no metabolic comorbidity).
<p/>Conclusions: The adverse impact of obesity on health-related quality of life is greater among individuals with metabolic comorbidity. However, increased BMI is associated with reduced health-related quality of life even in the absence of metabolic comorbidity, casting doubt on the notion of "healthy obesity"
Single-cell analysis of early antiviral gene expression reveals a determinant of stochastic IFNB1 expression
RIG-I-like receptors (RLRs) are cytoplasmic sensors of viral RNA that trigger the signaling cascade that leads to type I interferon (IFN) production. Transcriptional induction of RLRs by IFN is believed to play the role of positive feedback to further amplify viral sensing. We found that RLRs and several other IFN-stimulated genes (ISGs) are induced early in viral infection independent of IFN. Expression of these early ISGs requires IRF3/IRF7 and is highly correlated amongst them. Simultaneous detection of mRNA of IFNB1, viral replicase, and ISGs revealed distinct populations of IFNB1 expressing and non-expressing cells which are highly correlated with the levels of early ISGs but are uncorrelated with IFN-dependent ISGs and viral gene expression. KMT-2018-BLG-1292: A Super-Jovian Microlens Planet in the Galactic Plane
We report the discovery of KMT-2018-BLG-1292Lb, a super-Jovian planet orbiting an F or G dwarf , which lies physically within {\cal O}(10\,\pc) of the
Galactic plane. The source star is a heavily extincted luminous
giant that has the lowest Galactic latitude, , of any planetary
microlensing event. The relatively blue blended light is almost certainly
either the host or its binary companion, with the first explanation being
substantially more likely. This blend dominates the light at band and
completely dominates at and bands. Hence, the lens system can be probed
by follow-up observations immediately, i.e., long before the lens system and
the source separate due to their relative proper motion. The system is well
characterized despite the low cadence -- of
observations and short viewing windows near the end of the bulge season. This
suggests that optical microlensing planet searches can be extended to the
