Intelectuales: entre el compromiso social y el conocimiento estricto. Ética, política y epistemología en Leopoldo Zea
Is the dilemma between social commitment and commitment to knowledge inevitable for intellectuals? This paper, based on the thought of Leopoldo Zea, and through a hermeneutical, analytical-conceptual, critical-evaluative, and theoretical-constructive method, argues that these commitments are not only compatible, but also implicate each other. To argue this point, it elaborates a conceptualization of the figure of intellectuals and his social commitment, according to which it is proper to them to articulate his theoretical activity to ethical and political transtheoretical activity, while preserving the autonomy of theoretical activity and seeking universal knowledge. The article has a double importance: on the one hand, it makes a reformulation of the valid ideas of Zea in this regard; on the other hand, it offers a scheme with a claim of general validity regarding a now as ever urgent social problem: intellectuals’ social commitment and his commitment to knowledge.¿Es inevitable para el intelectual la disyuntiva entre el compromiso social y el compromiso con el conocimiento? Este artículo, a partir del pensamiento de Leopoldo Zea, y a través de un método hermenéutico, analítico-conceptual, crítico-evaluativo y teórico-constructivo, sostiene que esos compromisos no solo son compatibles, sino que se implican el uno al otro. Para argumentar este punto, elabora una conceptualización de la figura del intelectual y de su compromiso social, de acuerdo con la cual lo propio del intelectual consiste en articular su actividad teórica a la actividad transteórica ética y política, a la vez que en preservar la autonomía de la actividad teórica y buscar un conocimiento universal. El artículo tiene una importancia doble: por una parte, efectúa una reformulación de las ideas vigentes de Zea al respecto; por otra parte, ofrece un esquema con pretensión de validez general respecto a un problema social apremiante hoy como ayer: el compromiso social del intelectual y su compromiso con el conocimiento

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar si el Pectinophora gossypiella puede sobrevivir y multiplicarse en semilla sana de algodón almacenada y conocer el comportamiento del gusano rosado de la india en semilla infestada naturalmente. Se encontró que el gusano no puede multiplicarse en semilla sana de algodón almacenada. En semilla infestada desde el campo las larvas sobreviven pero entran en diapausa, permaneciendo de 73 a 310 días dentro de la semilla, uniendo dos semillas, en cámara algodonosa y sobre la fibra. GUÍAS DE DISEÑO WEB PARA FACILITAR EL ACCESO A LA INFORMACIÓN DESDE TELÉFONOS INTELIGENTES
ResumenActualmente, los usuarios tienen mayor acceso a contenidos web desde sus teléfonos inteligentes y tabletas que desde sus computadoras de escritorio. Este hecho les permite estar comunicados y disponibles en cualquier momento y en cualquier lugar. Sin embargo, cuando el usuario navega en la web móvil, se enfrenta a problemas de visualización debido a que muchos de los contenidos web no están adaptados para consultarse en este tipo de dispositivos y aquellos contenidos que si lo están, inciden en problemas de usabilidad.Tomando como base esta problemática, en el presente trabajo se plantea la necesidad de generar guías de diseño web que orienten la adaptación de contenidos usables para los usuarios de teléfonos inteligentes. Isocurvature bounds on axions revisited
The axion is one of the best motivated candidates for particle dark matter.
We study and update the constraints imposed by the recent CMB and LSS
experiments on the mass of axions produced by the misalignment mechanism, as a
function of both the inflationary scale and the reheating temperature. Under
some particular although not unconventional assumptions, the axionic field
induces too large isocurvature perturbations. Specifically, for inflation
taking place at intermediate energy scales, we derive some restrictive limits
which can only be evaded by assuming an efficient reheating mechanism, with
T>10^{11} GeV. Chaotic inflation with a quadratic potential is still compatible
with the axion scenario, provided that the Peccei-Quinn scale f_a is close to
10^{10} or 10^{11} GeV. Isocurvature bounds eliminate the possibility of a
larger f_a and a small misalignment angle. We find that isocurvature
constraints on the axion scenario must be taken into account whenever the scale
of inflation is above 10^{12} GeV; below this scale, axionic isocurvature modes

Microcellular polymer films based on cross-linked 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone and methyl methacrylate
A series of cross-linked copolymer films based on 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone and methyl methacrylate were produced using different poly(ethylene glycol) dimethacrylates as cross-linking agents. The average molecular mass of the cross-linking agent was varied, then allowing the foaming process using supercritical CO2 (ScCO2), obtaining microcellular films with different cellular structures as a function of the molecular mass of the cross-linking agent. The chemical structure, swelling behavior, CO2 uptake and cellular morphology of the materials were studied.
