    Zihin haritalama yönteminin web tabanlı öğretimde kullanımı: Öğretmen adaylarının bilişüstü öğrenme stratejileri ve öz yönetimli öğrenme becerileri

    The study was carried out to determine the effects of the mind mapping method in web-based courses on students' metacognitive learning strategies and self-regulated learning skills and to determine the students' views on this. The study findings showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the students in the experimental group regarding their metacognitive learning strategies and self-regulated learning skill levels. In addition, the study findings revealed that there was a significant difference in favor of the experimental group between the scores of the experimental and control groups regarding metacognitive learning strategies and selfregulated learning skill levels. On the other hand, the findings on student opinions showed that students generally had positive opinions about the mind mapping method. In addition, the use of the mind mapping method had significant contributions to the students' metacognitive learning strategies and self-learning skill levels. Considering the results of this study, the use of the mind mapping method in web-based courses significantly supported the metacognitive learning strategies of the students and contributed positively to the increase in self-learning skill levels.Çalışma web tabanlı derslerde zihin haritalama yönteminin kullanımının öğrencilerin bilişüstü öğrenme stratejileri ve öz yönetimli öğrenme becerilerine etkilerini ve buna ilişkin öğrenci görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma bulguları, deney grubundaki öğrencilerin bilişüstü öğrenme stratejileri ve öz yönetimli öğrenme beceri düzeylerine ilişkin ön test son test puanları arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğunu göstermiştir. Bunun yanında çalışma bulgularından deney ve kontrol gruplarının bilişüstü öğrenme stratejileri ve öz yönetimli öğrenme beceri düzeylerine ilişkin puanları arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Öte yandan öğrenci görüşlerine yönelik bulgular ise öğrencilerin genel anlamda zihin haritalama yöntemine karşı olumlu görüşlere sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Buna ek olarak öğrenci görüşlerine ilişkin bulgulardan zihin haritalama yönteminin kullanılmasının öğrencilerin bilişüstü öğrenme stratejileri ve öz yöntemli öğrenme beceri düzeylerine önemli katkılarının olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Çalışma sonuçları göz önünde bulundurulduğunda web tabanlı derslerde zihin haritalama yönteminin kullanılması öğrencilerin, bilişüstü öğrenme stratejilerini önemli ölçüde desteklemiş ve öz yöntemli öğrenme beceri düzeylerinin artmasına olumlu katkılar sağlamıştır

    The Correlation Between Mushroom Management Approach and School Leadership Behavior of School Administrators Based on Teacher Perceptions

    In this study, starting from the studies in the literature, it was found worthy of the research to determine the level of school leaders \u27adoption of the mushroom management approach according to the teachers\u27 perceptions. For this purpose, teachers employed in preschool, primary, secondary and high schools in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Region during 2018-2019 academic year were selected as the study sample with random and disproportionate cluster sampling methods. Relational screening model was used in the study. To determine the extent that the mushroom management approach adopted by school administrators predicted their school leadership levels, a literature-assisted model was developed, and the accuracy of the model was tested. The study findings demonstrated that there was a negative and significant correlation between the mushroom management approach and school leadership sub-dimensions of cooperation, support and openness. Furthermore, based on the structural equation model, it was determined that the mushroom management approach had a negative impact on school leadership

    VLSI DESIGN OF AN 8 BIT GENERAL PURPOSE MICROCONTROLLER

    Bu çalışmada 8 bitlik genel amaçlı bir mikrodenetleyicinin Çok Büyük Ölçekli Tümleşik Devre Teknolojisiyle tasarımı 1.6µ CMOS çift metal teknolojisi esas alınarak ve Kapı Dizisi Tasarım yöntemi kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tasarımda, önce mikrodenetleyiciyi oluşturan temel bloklar ve bunların davranışları belirlenmiş, blokların mantık devre tasarımı yapılmıştır. Daha sonra, tasarlanan mantıksal devrelerin benzetim çalışmaları yapılmış ve tüm birimlerin VLSI serimleri Linux işletim sistemi kullanan bir bilgisayarda Hollanda-Delft üniversitesinin geliştirdiği Ocean tasarım paketi ile hazırlanmıştır. Son olarak da birimler mikrodenetleyiciyi oluşturmak üzere serim planı üzerinde yerleştirilmiş, analog ve sayısal anahtarlama seviyeli simulatörlerle benzetim çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Benzetim çalışmaları sonucu mikrodenetleyici taşıma komutları, aritmetik ve mantıksal komutlar, döndürme ve kaydırma komutları, koşullu ve koşulsuz dallanma komutları, giriş-çıkış komutları ve denetim komutları olmak üzere 6 alt gruba ayrılan 31 komutu doğru olarak işlemiştir. Harici veri yolu 16 bit olan mikrodenetleyici yaklaşık 10,000 transistor içerir, 25MHz de çalışır ve toplam güç harcaması 5V besleme için 82.5mW tır. Bu makalede mikrodenetleyicinin özellikleri, tasarım basamakları, elde edilen sonuçlar anlatılmış ve bu sonuçlar aynı ölçekteki mikrodenetleyicilerle ve mikroişlemcilerle karşılaştırılmıştır. This study includes the VLSI design of an eight bit general purpose micro controller with Sea-of-Gates design style and 1.6µ double metal CMOS technology. The system blocks and the behavior of these blocks are defined and the logical design is implemented in gate level in the design phase. Then, the logic circuits are simulated and all of the subunits are converted into 1.6µ double metal CMOS VLSI layout with Ocean Design System, developed by Delft University-Netherlands, in a PC using Linux operating system. Finally, in order to construct the micro controller these units are placed in the floor plan and simulated with analog and digital switch level simulator. The results of the simulations indicates that the micro controller can run 31 instructions which can be divided into six subgroups: transfer instructions, arithmetic and logic instructions, rotate and shift instructions, branch instructions, input/output instructions, control instructions. The external bus of the micro controller is 16 bit, it includes approximately 10,000 transistors and runs in 25MHz, and its power consumption is 82.5mW for 5V bias voltage. In this paper, the properties of the micro controller, the design steps and the obtained results are explained and the results are compared with the micro controllers and the microprocessors of the same scale

    Structure, tautomerism, spectroscopic and DFT study of o-vanillin derived Schiff bases containing thiophene ring

    Two Schiff bases derived from o-vanillin (o-HVA), a well-known antioxidant hydroxo aldehyde, have been obtained from condensation with 2-thiophenecarboxilic acid hydrazide (TPNNH) and 2-thiophenemethylamine (TPNH2), respectively. The inclusion of thiophene is based on its significance in the development of effective therapeutic agents. The study of the compounds oVATPNNH and oVATPNH2 includes solid state structural and spectroscopic analysis by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR and Raman). The crystal structure of oVATPNH2 shows a peculiar rotational disorder in the heterocycle. Tautomeric equilibria in solution, which depends on the molecule structure and the nature of the solvent, were analysed by means of 1H and 13C{1H} NMR along with electronic spectroscopy. Tautomerism plays an important role not only in the molecular interactions but also in the behaviour of the Schiff base when acting as a ligand in coordination compounds.     Determination of The Relationship Between Hopelessness-Depression Frequency and Socio- Demographic Features in Students of School of Medicine, Suleyman Demirel University

    Aim:Depression and hopelessness, cause impairment in the quality of life and leads to the loss of one's efficiency are important problems. The purpose of this study is to search the frequency of depression and hopelessness and its relations with socio-demographic characteristics among medical students.Materials and Methods:This is a cross sectional analytical study. It was conducted 2-4 March 2009 between. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students from the Faculty of Medicine, Suleyman Demirel University were included in the study. 236 of a total 330 students (68.5 %) participated in the study. A questionnaire which aims to determine the students’ socio-demographic characteristics, Beck depression inventory and Beck hopelessness scale were applied under observation to the participants. According to the Beck depression inventory, those who scored 17 and over were classified as possible depressive. Data were evaluated statistically.Results:The average score of the students according to Beck hopelessness scale was found 5.3±4.6. According to Beck depression inventory 64 of the students (28.3%) were found to be possible depressive. The average Beck hopelessness scale score was higher for possible depressive students compared to the others (p=0.00). Depression scores was higher among the first year students compared to the others (p=0.03), higher among the females compared the males (p=0.02) and higher among dwelling in dorm compared to not dwelling in dorm (p=0.001). When the age of students, monthly income of family, the educational status of the parents were compared with hopelessness and depression rates there was no statistically significant relation.Conclusion:As a result, depression rates were high in basic medical students, furthermore hopelessness scores were found high among possible depressive students. Medical students should be given guidance and counseling service. Effective monitoring and prevention programs should be developed in order to lower the possible effects of depression and hopelessness on their future professional lives

    Amaç Depresyon ve umutsuzluk kişinin verimliliğini kaybetmesine, yaşam kalitesinin bozulmasına neden olan önemli problemlerdir. Bu çalışmanın amacı tıp fakültesi öğrencilerinde depresyon ve umutsuzluk sıklığını ve sosyodemografik özelliklerle arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırmaktır. Materyal ve Metod Kesitsel-analitik tipte olan bu çalışma 02–04 Mart 2009 tarihleri arasında yürütüldü. Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi birinci, ikinci ve üçüncü sınıf öğrencileri çalışmaya dahil edildi. Çalışmaya 330 öğrenciden 226’sı (% 68,5) katıldı. Öğrencilere, sosyodemografik özelliklerini saptamaya yönelik anket formu, Beck Depresyon Ölçeği, Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği gözlem altında uygulandı. Beck depresyon ölçeğine göre 17 ve üzeri puan alanlar olası depresif olarak sınıflandırıldı. Veriler istatistiksel olarak değerlendirildi. Bulgular Öğrencilerin Beck umutsuzluk ölçeği puan ortalamaları 5,3±4,6 bulundu. Beck depresyon ölçeğine göre 64’ü (%28,3) olası depresif bulundu. Olası depresif olanlarda Beck umutsuzluk ölçeği puan ortalaması normal olanlara göre daha yüksekti (p=0.00). Birinci sınıf öğrencilerinde diğer sınıflardaki öğrencilere göre (p=0.03), kızlarda erkeklere göre (p=0.02), yurtta kalan öğrencilerde ise yurtta kalmayanlara göre (p=0.001) depresyon puanları daha yüksek bulundu. Öğrencilerin yaşları, ailenin aylık gelir düzeyleri, ebeveynlerinin öğrenim durumları ile umutsuzluk ve depresyon oranları karşılaştırıldığında aralarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmadı. Sonuç Sonuç olarak, temel tıp öğrencilerinde depresyon oranı yüksek olmakla birlikte, olası depresif öğrencilerde umutsuzluk puanları da yüksek bulunmuştur. Tıp öğrencilerine rehberlik ve danışmanlık hizmetlerinin verilmesi, mezuniyet sonrası depresyon ve umutsuzluğun mesleki yaşantılarına olabilecek etkilerini azaltmaya yönelik etkili önleme ve izleme programlarının geliştirilmesi uygun olacaktır.Aim Depression and hopelessness, cause impairment in the quality of life and leads to the loss of one's efficiency are important problems.
