El presente trabajo de fin de grado busca como dar a conocer a las nuevas generaciones que ya han nacido siendo europeos, lo que para ellos significa serlo. La moneda única, la desaparición de las antiguas fronteras y en definitiva el mundo que se les abre por el hecho de ser europeos huyendo del localismo generalizado en algunos sectores de la población. El objetivo es que los alumnos a través de distintos medios o materiales conozcan el difícil camino que ha supuesto para Europa en general y para España en particular la adhesión a la Unión Europea. La metodología que se pretende llevar a cabo es de carácter activo y participativo por parte de los alumnos como del profesor utilizando sobre todo las nuevas tecnologías.Grado en Educación Primari

Stigma of poverty. The discursive construction of ­"South" term in Latin American countries

This article reflects a general knowledge and a macro-paradigmatic contribution of developmentalist discourses, in particular, its modernist and Eurocentric roots. In particular we analyze the artificiality of the discursive construction of certain categories that represent geopolitical stigma of poverty, such as ­Third World® or ­South® or ­underdeveloped® adopted in the field of international relations and the development cooperation. It notes that there are not metaphors opposite (North-South) in its own right, the ­South® is not the opposite of the ­North®, but its negative extension, as evidenced by the imaginarium of most Latin American countries. The metaphors that stigmatize poverty are symbolic discourse used to define in a European way the identity of the winner (rich) people

¿Cómo medir los flujos migratorios?

El fenómeno migratorio, como determinante de la distribución poblacional, tiene gran importancia y, por ello, es muy elevado el número de trabajos dedicados al análisis del mismo. Sin embargo, no existe homogeneidad conceptual ni metodológica en su tratamiento. La no disposición de datos directos y, por tanto, la necesidad de estimarlos a partir de diferentes fuentes añade más dificultad a la interpretación y comparación de los resultados de los diferentes trabajos. El objetivo de este articulo es revisar los conceptos y métodos que se utilizan en el análisis del tema, facilitando la comparación de los resultados de los diferentes trabajos.The migratory phenomenon, like determinants of the population distribution, has great importance and, for that reason, very is raised the number of jobs dedicated to the analysis of the same one. Nevertheless, conceptual nor methodology homogeneity in its processing does not exist. The nondisposition of direct data and, therefore, the necessity to consider them from different sources add to more difficulty to the interpretation and comparison of the results of the different works. Los valores sobre la participación de la infancia en la vida familiar: un análisis de la encuesta mundial de valores en Andalucía

En esta comunicación se trata de analizar en qué medida la transformación social operada en las sociedades contemporáneas puede estar afectando a la relación adultos-infancia en lo referente a los modelos de participación de los niños en la vida familiar. Para el estudio empírico de esta cuestión hemos hecho uso de la base de datos de la Encuesta Mundial de Valores, Andalucía (1998), de la que se han seleccionado ítems especialmente útiles para el objetivo de esta investigación, esto es, aquéllos que nos informan sobre las concepciones de los adultos respecto a la educación de los niños en el contexto de las relaciones de familia.In this paper, we pretend to analyze how and in what extent the social change in contemporary societies, over all in the relationship among adults and childhood, has involved more prominence of the children in a sense of more participation level in the familiar life. For the empirical research, it will be used the data base of the World Survey of Values, in particular, the results related to Andalusia, obtained in 1998. From this survey, it has been selected various items that report about the adults conceptions in relations to the childhood, especially in the context of the family relationship

Efficient Calculation of the Green's Functions for Multilayered Shielded Cavities with Right Isosceles-Triangular Cross-Section

An efficient calculation of the Green’s functions inside multilayered shielded cavities with right isosceles-triangular cross-section is presented. The method is entirely developed in the spatial domain, and it is based on image theory. The idea is to use the spatial-domain Green’s functions inside a multilayered shielded square box, in order to accurately obtain the Green’s functions for the right isosceles-triangular cavity. Image theory is then used to enforce the boundary conditions along the non-equal side of the triangle. It is shown that the new algorithm is very robust, with limited computational effort. Resonance frequencies and potential patterns of a triangular cavity have been calculated and compared with those obtained by other techniques, showing very good agreement. Finally, a transversal filter inside a multilayered triangular-shaped cavity is designed, manufactured and tested using the developed technique.This work was partially supported by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science under Grant FPU-AP2006-015 and with the Project TEC2007-67630-C03-02

Definition of the on-time delivery indicator in rapid software development

Rapid software development (RSD) is an approach for developing software in rapid iterations. One of the critical success factors of an RSD project is to deliver the product releases on time and with the planned features. In this paper, we elaborate an exploratory definition of the On-Time Delivery strategic indicator in RSD based on the literature and interviews with four companies. This indicator supports decision-makers to detect development problems in order to avoid delays and to estimate the additional time needed when requirements, and specifically quality requirements, are considered.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft

Stationary foreground detection using background subtraction and temporal difference in video surveillance

Firstly, a sub-sampling scheme based on background subtraction techniques is implemented to obtain stationary foreground regions. Secondly, some modifications are introduced on this base algorithm with the purpose of reducing the amount of stationary foreground detected. Finally, we evaluate the proposed algorithm and compare results with the base algorithm using video surveillance sequences from PETS 2006, PETS 2007 and I-LIDS for AVSS 2007 datasets.
