Civil construction, nowadays has to deal with comfort and habitability requirements and raw material lack. Thus, it is desired to reuse materials. In this context, the subfloor plays an important role in providing users with comfort, being an interesting object of analysis. Thus, this study aims to design lightweight concrete slabs with ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) aggregates for subfloors, with two grain sizes of conventional sand replaced with EVA. The experimental program is composed of four unit mixes, three of them varying the ratio between EVA coarse and natural fine aggregates, and the one with higher quantity of EVA coarse aggregates was replaced sand for EVA fine aggregates. The subfloor slabs were molded with three thickness of 3, 5 and 7 centimeters, and a set of 3cm slabs plus 1cm of conventional coating. Slabs were submitted to specific mass tests and L’nT,w mean standardized impact sound pressure level tests. Results showed a correlation between two variables, being that 7cm thickness slabs with smaller specific mass, with total aggregate replacement, presented noise intensity reductions of 17dB in comparison to 7cm slabs with natural sand and smaller content of EVA coarse aggregate; and 28dB reduction in relation to the reference

The National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS) established by Law 12,305/2010, mentions Reverse Logistics (RL) as a development tool for the return of the production cycle, and also presents instruments for shared responsibility for the life cycle of products. The RL of lubricating oils in post-consumption and return is linked to concern for the environment and sustainability in the business sphere. The aim of this study was to describe the RL process of gas stations and their tax benefits, through bibliographic and documentary research, in addition to an unstructured interview with professionals involved in the process and through a case study. It was found that compliance with environmental obligations imposed by the Government, such as the destination of used or contaminated lubricating oil packaging (OLUC), can be considered inputs that may generate PIS and COFINS credits, and the revenues obtained from the sale of the destination of OLUC may be considered as environmental revenues, as well as the structure of real estate to be measured as environmental assets.

Background: Renal neoplasms are a rare condition in felines, with metastatic lymphoma presenting the highest incidence rate. Secondary renal neoplasms are more frequent (88%) than primary renal tumors, with primary mesenquimal renal neoplasms accounting for 22% of the cases and the incidence of benign tumors not exceeding 5%. Myxomas are neoplasms in undifferentiated mesenchymal cells with abundant reproduction of the myxoid matrix, with few few case reports about this type of neoplasm in the veterinary literature. This study reports the first case of renal myxoma in a young feline afflicted by granulomatous nephritis and diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis).Case: A 9-month-old, male, mixed breed feline, was admitted into the Veterinary Hospital maintained by the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, Botucatu, Brazil, presenting symptoms such progressive weight loss and occasional episodes of emesis for one week, progressing to anorexia, hematochezia, vocalization, lack of coordination, spasms, anuria and inability to defecate. A physical examination revealed moderate dehydration, low temperatures (< 33ºC), dyspnea (36 mpm), slight hyperglycemia (187 mg/dL) and distension of the abdomen and of the urinary bladder. The hematological assay and the serum biochemistry assay revealed neutrophilic leukocytosis, thrombocytopenia, anemia and slight uremia. In view of the severity of the neurologic signs and lack of response to the clinical treatment, the owner opted to euthanize the animal. The necropsy revealed diffused jaundice, with kidney injuries observed through the pale coloration of the tissue and irregular surface with multiple off-white small nodules distributed in a marked and diffuse way. The same injury pattern was observed markedly in the lungs and discretely in the spleen and liver. The material collected was fixed in a 10% formalin solution, and processed according to the routine technique (Hematoxylin & Eosin). The remaining samples were submitted to a histochemical analysis with the Alcian Blue and Masson’s Trichrome stains, in addition to an immunohistochemical expression test. The histopathological examination with H&E staining revealed multiple focuses of pyogranulomatous injuries in the kidneys, lungs, spleen, uvea and leptomeninges, corroborating the diagnosis of feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). In addition, there was a neoplastic proliferation of fusiform cells among an abundant myxoid matrix, evident in Alcian Blue staining. Normal renal tissue, such as glomeruli or tubules, were occasionally observed inside the neoplastic proliferation. Masson’s Trichrome technique was used to exclude the possibility of a fibroblastic origin. In addition, immunohistochemistry (IHC) was performed to confirm the diagnosis of myxoma using the Vimentin, pan-cytokeratin and p63 antibodies. Discussion: Kidney tumors are rare in veterinary medicine, but have an incidence rate four to five times greater in cats than in dogs. The veterinary literature describes myxomas located in joints, cardiac valves and ureter, but reports of myxomas afflicting the kidneys are more commons in human medicine. This tumor should be included in the differential diagnosis process for young cats with suspicions of renal neoplasms, however, to differentiate between neoplasms with a myxoid component in benign tumors. This is the first reported case of renal myxoma afflicting a young feline with feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) in the veterinary literature

Communication abstract: Proceedings of the 5th International Congress of CiiEM - Reducing inequalities in Health and Society, held at Egas Moniz’ University Campus in Monte de Caparica, Almada, from June 16th to 18th, 2021.This is an open access article distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution License which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.Recent literature suggests that ergogenic substances may play a beneficial role in intermittent exercise. Maltodextrin supplementation has been investigated in soccer players, but few studies have been reported. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of 6% maltodextrin supplementation on capillary lactate in soccer players. The study was carried out during soccer training, which was characterised by intense activity (90 min). Participants (n = 24) were randomly allocated in control (water) and intervention (6% maltodextrin solution) groups. Capillary lactate levels were evaluated at pre-exercise (0 min—t0), exercise (45 min—t1), and post-exercise (90 min—t2) moments. At t1, the mean capillary lactate concentration value was significantly higher in players not supplemented with 6% maltodextrin (5.47 mmol/L) than in supplemented players (4.79 mmol/L).info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

The increase of anthropogenic influences is becoming more frequent in all areas, for example in the water of the Cutuchi River, the effect of the massive of pollution has expand due to the population growth of the city. The deterioration of the natural resource stimulates the interest in the researchers, consequently the relation of the bad condition in which the water of the Cutuchi River is. In order to determine the quality of the water, the identification of diatoms species was through the collection of samples, which indicate the degree of contamination of the Cutuchi River in the Baño Azul Sector, Latacunga City. It is important to take account a physical chemical analysis for the verification of parameters of the vital liquid, which must be suitable for irrigation water stipulated in the TULSMA books. For identification of the diatoms, the laboratories of the Amazonic State University, and the Technical University of Cotopaxi were used, diatoms were evidenced in iconographic photographs. The methodology used in the cleaning of the micro algae, It helped in the study of taxonomy and morphology of the different species found. This established the ecological conditions of the River. In the results of the research were found 57 species distributed in 20 families and 31 types, the type with the largest presence is the Navicula with 13 species. In this representation was obtained: 21, 30 and 6 species of contamination, high, moderate and light respectively. These data were used in a software to verify the abundance of species obtaining an index of 2,532 determining that the water of the Cutuchi River is of moderate contamination and that is suitable for the agriculture. At the end of the investigation, the identification of the diatoms is obtained and the determination of the quality of the water; finally as recommendation for future investigations it is neccessary to realize a taxonomic guide of the diatoms as parameters of the Cutuchi River. Different feminist movements have sought to make visible the daily care work performed by women in the home. These jobs have not been recognized either by the states or by the current economic model, ignoring the contribution that women make to families, the state and society through their work. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the situation of women has worsened considerably not only in economic and social aspects, but also increased the inequality gap with men, generating a difficult situation for both women and their families. Considering this problematic, this article aims to answer the following research question: What could be the social innovation initiatives that would contribute to the redistribution of care work in households for rural women in the department of Boyacá in the context of the post-pandemic COVID-19? To answer this question, two objectives were proposed: first, to contrast the factors that explain the inequitable distribution of unpaid work in the household identified in the literature with the life histories of rural women in the department of Boyacá by studying the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on these dynamics. And second, to establish social innovation initiatives for the post-pandemic COVID-19 context, aligned with the factors that explain the inequity in the redistribution of unpaid work in the household based on the People-Centered Design methodology. A methodological structure was established based on People-Centered Design, comprising three phases: Listen, Create and Deliver. It is expected that the results of the research will be translated into social innovation initiatives that contribute to reducing and redistributing unpaid care work in rural households.
