This article reviews the field of gender studies and social networks. We recognize that women are underrepresented in ict, but we observe a trend in the use of social networks may talk that this gap can be reversed and that may be the springboard for other uses of technology. Understanding the use of social networks, voluntary and informal by women may enable us to understand some of the mechanisms that keep women away from the world of technology, without having to appeal to reason or institutional mechanisms that do not properly explain exclusions “voluntary”, is to say those that occur because the person “wants” or “not interested” in participating in a core sector for setting up the society. We believe that the creation and use of technology, especially social networks in the Westernized world, recreates different areas of life for people according to the invention, distribution and performance of sex differences. The work is divided into three sections, the first one we present what we mean by gender, in the second, tackle social networks, and in the last one, gender and social networks
The role of human resource management in transferring knowledge through and joint venture
manera informal e intercambiar ideas y compartir conocimiento.
In an increasingly demanding environment that requires firms to be more flexible and able to respond to
the changes that take place, the acquisition and use of new knowledge can be a critical resource for providing an
adequate response to these changes. This situation has paved the way for the appearance of a knowledge-based
society, which imposes new demands on organizations (Claver and Zaragoza, 2007). Competitive advantage is
increasingly based on strategic assets, such as knowledge and resources that are necessary to manage and transfer
it.
Efficient transfer of knowledge requires as a main enabler, introducing human resource practices that give
the members involved access to this knowledge. In particular, arranging meetings between staff, designing spaces
so that people can meet informally and exchange ideas and share knowledge, and efficiency in generating
knowledge requires skill from individuals in particular knowledge areas
The creation and development of strategic alliances in general, and joint ventures in particular, oblige top
managers to prepare reports for companies’ CEOs and meet different managers from alliances and project heads.
The relationship that arises obliges them to share general information on the functioning of the firm and on HR
practices that give the best results. In fact, the transfer of new knowledge is the product of a dynamic interaction
between knowledge workers in their three roles: 1. normal employees, 2. mid-level managers and 3 top level
managers.
The hypotheses were contrasted via a structural equation model using a sample of 74 firms, 51 of which
were Spanish and 23 from the rest of the world, which had recently cooperated in a joint venture. We carried out
an in-depth review of the literature whioch revealed that few studies have either theoretically or empirically
address this question
A virtue-based model of leadership education.
This article presents a theoretical justification and a proposal that
seeks to educate university students in leadership through virtues
and personal competencies. A distinction is offered between virtues
and competencies without opposing them. Subsequently,
a leadership education model based on virtues and personal competencies
is offered. This proposal applies the Aristotelian-Thomistic
tradition of education in virtues considering the contributions of
psychology and leadership theory. The leadership model includes
eight competencies linked to the cardinal virtues, which are grouped
into three domains: understanding reality, relating to others and
dedication to the task. Finally, some guidelines for the further development
of assessment instruments and for leadership education of
university students are offered.post-print830 K

Proliferative Response of Hamster CD4+ T Cells after Different Mitogenic Stimulation
The measurement of effector cells involved in immune responses is an important parameter in various fields of lymphocyte research using the Syrian Golden hamster as the experimental model. The aim of the present study was to identify the percentage of peripheral hamster CD4+ cells that undergo proliferation and the number of cell divisions induced by four different mitogenic compounds: phorbol-myristate acetate plus ionomycin (PMA/ionomycin), concanavalin A (Con A), phytohaemagglutinin (PHA) and the superantigen Staphylococcal enterotoxin B (SEB). The proliferative response was investigated by the use of the cross-reactive mouse anti-CD4 antibody (clone H129.9) and analyzed by flow cytometry using the dye carboxyfluorescein diacetate succinimydil ester (CFSE). PMA/ionomycin induced the highest proliferative response of CD4+ cells. Interestingly, the down-regulation in the CD4 expression described after PMA/ ionomycin activation both in human and in mouse lymphocytes was not seen in hamster cells. Stimulation with SEB and with Con A also induced up to 6 to 7 proliferation cycles in cells, whereas PHA induced the lowest proliferation. These results provide useful tools for the study of CD4+ cells in the hamster model.
The values of built heritage in the towns of the municipality of Morelia are not similar from the area monuments of the capital, as they are related with popular culture, collective knowledge and building traditions. This article explains that, as an effect of changes in the economy, culture and development of its inhabitants, towns undergo a transformation and even the loss of its built heritage. The units of analysis were selected with the Index Accessibility and Spatial Interaction; subsequently are explained Accessibility indicators and urbanization, and finally data correlate with transformation of its heritage. Measure and understand the characteristics of the factors that transform the built cultural heritage are an advance way to keep as a historical, cultural manifestation of a way of life and an identity element
Synthesis and TL Characterization of Li2B4O7 Doped with Cooper and Manganese
Copper (Cu) and manganese (Mn) doped tissue equivalent Li2B4O7 were prepared by solid state sintering. The glow curves shows a high temperature peak at 222 °C for Li2B4O7:Cu and for Li2B4O7:Mn at 218 °C. Linear dose response is observed up to 140 Gy. With a thermal treatment at 125 °C, the first peak of the phosphors doped with copper (95 °C) and manganese (90 °C) disappears and the main TL peaks remain isolated. The dose rate dependence was studied by exposing the samples at doses of 25 Gy and 250 Gy. At low dose it was observed that the Li2B4O7:Cu TL response has non-dependence on dose rate, and at higher dose was observed that there is a dependence of the TL response with the different dose rateFil: Guarneros Aguilar, C.. Sliding wear behavior of WC-Co-Cr3C2-VC composites fabricated by conventional and non-conventional techniques
[EN] The present work aims are to study the dry sliding wear behavior of WC-12 wt.%Co materials, with or without addition of Cr3C2/VC grain growth inhibitors, and to sinter them by two different consolidation techniques: conventional sintering and spark plasma sintering (SPS). The dry sliding wear tests were performed on a tribometer with a ball-on-disc configuration using a WC-Co ball as a counterpart material with a normal contact load of 60 N, a sliding distance of 10000 m and a sliding speed of 0.1 m/s. The influence of the grain growth inhibitors and the consolidation techniques in sintered samples were related to the friction coefficient, wear rates and wear pattern damage. Samples sintered by non-conventional technique (SPS) show the best wear resistance and lower friction coefficient. The addition of inhibitors reduces the wear rates in materials consolidated by both techniques. The differences in the wear damage are related to microstructural parameters, mechanical properties and wear ratesThe work is supported financially by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation by the project MAT2009-14144-C03-C02.
