On the spectrum of stochastic perturbations of the shift and Julia sets

We extend the Killeen-Taylor study in \cite{KT} by investigating in different Banach spaces (α(N),c0(N),cc(N)\ell^\alpha(\N), c_0(\N),c_c(\N)) the point, continuous and residual spectra of stochastic perturbations of the shift operator associated to the stochastic adding machine in base 2 and in Fibonacci base. For the base 2, the spectra are connected to the Julia set of a quadratic map. In the Fibonacci case, the spectra involve the Julia set of an endomorphism of \C^2.Comment: 24 pages, 8 figures and 10 reference

Innovation and Human Resources Motivation: A Bibliometric Analysis

    Get PDF
The aim of this paper is to present a bibliometric overview of the academic research on the establishment of motivation and Human resources practices and their influence on innovation, which has gained a wide acceptance in the scientific community. This analysis uses two main approaches, namely performance analysis and scientific mapping. The first uses a range of bibliometric measures and indicators to assess the importance, impact and quality of publications in a particular field. While the second aims to complete the analysis of performance using techniques from a time perspective. We have included performance analysis and science mapping of the Human Resources Motivation Field using the R language and R-STUDIO software to map the bibliographic material. We firstly have compiled a list of 1513 articles selected from the Web of Science database. Then we identified the most global relevant documents in the field according to authors, journals, articles, institutions and countries. Based on the results obtained during the analysis of these articles, it turned out that research in the field of human resource management tends much more towards digitization and the use new technologies when it comes to its link with innovation. Our conclusion is that research in this field has made significant progress in the past five years, China is the country with the greatest influence in all aspects of this field. However, it is important to consider that science is constantly advancing in this field, and data will change rapidly over time. Therefore, this work plays an informative role, showing that most of the basic research on human resources motivation is in the business and management fields.     JEL Classification: O39 Paper type: Empirical research. The aim of this paper is to present a bibliometric overview of the academic research on the establishment of motivation and Human resources practices and their influence on innovation, which has gained a wide acceptance in the scientific community. Developing EFL Learners’ Pragmatic Competence through a Blended Learning Model: A Quasi-Experimental Study

In the era of globalization, EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teachers have nominated to weld EFL instruction and aspects of intercultural competence together.  Howbeit, the literature on the topic promulgates that procuring pragmatic competence remains a high-priority quest for EFL learners worldwide. This paper delineates the use of a blended learning model to teach pragmatic competence in an EFL context. This quasi-experimental study sought to probe into the potential of a blended learning model on participants’ levels of pragmatic competence. 62 students from a junior high school participated in the study. 32 participants belonged to the control group and 30 participants belonged to the experimental group. The main findings demonstrated that the three-week blended learning model resulted in a statistically significant impact on participants’ levels of pragmatic competence; that is, the experimental group participants (M=16.40; SD=2.54) remarkably outperformed the control group participants (M=11.87; SD=3.49) on the posttest. This implies that foreign language teachers are highly encouraged to attach much importance to amalgamating classroom teaching and the use of interactive websites (blended learning) as a way to develop the pragmatic competence of language learners

Miniaturized Ultra-Wideband Bandpass Filter Based on Substrate Integrated Quasi-Lumped Resonators

[EN] A compact ultra-wideband bandpass filter employing substrate integrated quasi-lumped resonators is presented in this paper. A multi-layer hybrid structure is proposed, combining quasi-lumped resonators and surface mount components. This allows a huge miniaturization degree due to the high capacitive loading. Moreover, strong magnetic and electric couplings can be implemented thus enabling the introduction of transmission zeros for improving response selectivity. A filter example centered at 5.35 GHz with a prescribed channel bandwidth of 2.9 GHz has been designed, manufactured and measured. The filter size is smaller than 7×7 mm2. The obtained results show the feasibility of the proposed approach. This project has received funding from the European Union Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 811232, the European Space Agency (ESA) under contract 4000124983, and the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (Spanish Government) under project PID2019-103982R-C41Messaoudi, EM.; Martínez Pérez, JD.; Boria Esbert, VE.
